I don’t like how solid this version feels. I like the slightly uncomfortable, dream like sound of the official version, and I feel like that dreamlike quality really works to emphasize the more abstract aspects of the lyrics. Part of what I love about the official version is how surreal it sounds, and you just don’t get that feeling in the same way with this version
I do love how much longer the ending is. It’s like hearing your heart monitor slowly fade away as you die on a hospital bed. The final sound effects of the wind playing as you reminisce of being at the beach hearing the waves crash, and you were happy. And then you’re gone.

It looks like before the final release they were experimenting alot more with the vocals on where they are put in stereo, with vocals that are hard panned (only set to play on one earphone). The drumming arrangement is also completely different, they likely redid that entire intrement for release. The final obviously is slowed down in a way that I believe is trying to emulate the sound that doing so gave the charm to songs like Strawberry Fields Forever by The Beatles.

He kept it short and simple and in quotes that he privately talked to someone via DMs about the situation (Most likely Rob or Ross cause they were the ones who were trying to help/teach Joe on Trans issues). I just noticed that one of the band members on the album cover was supposed to be wearing high heels.
Although I like the final version better, this version definitely does 1:13 betterm With headphones, it sounds like someone in the middle is arguing with 2 people in the keft and right ears. It's insane! What a shame it's not in the 2008 version.
Upset that it doesn't include the second verse from the demo, but I prefer the higher key of this version & the demo to the official version.

andrew mentioned this in a 2020 interview and i didn't notice it until now
It looks like before the final release they were experimenting alot more with the vocals on where they are put in stereo, with vocals that are hard panned (only set to play on one earphone). The drumming arrangement is also completely different, they likely redid that entire intrement for release. The final obviously is slowed down in a way that I believe is trying to emulate the sound that doing so gave the charm to songs like Strawberry Fields Forever by The Beatles.
