As a kid, I use to pretend these where new outfits as part of G.I. Joe's "Ninja force". M. bison being a new threat post Cobra, it required undercover Street fighters to take out Shadow Law.
These figures were crucified back when they came but I actually liked these, especially the blanks and sagat figures. I also had the vehicles too. I’m 36 now but I think I’m gonna collect these again
This video is great! And hilarious. Your transitions and editing are super entertaining. I loved these as a kid, and still have a few of them (and a few of the Mortal Kombat ones). I have no idea how I haven't found your channel before now, but I subscribed. I hope you keep making these.

Hilarious review! Despite the mistakes, since these cane out when I was 8, I thought they were amazing! I thought they were even better than my regular gi joes at the time. They were also very hard to find in store. Vega was super rare. Ahhh I loved them so much. But the shortcomings are really unbelievable when you consider them today against modern toys. Perhaps you can say that for the entire line of GI Joe in today’s world.
I agree, some of the Figures like DALSIM, VEGA, SAGAT, HONDA and GUILE are really great. The others are just bad and I mean really bad. There is another line out there, I think from HASBRO too, this Figures are much better. ;-)
I remember getting the set from someone in my neighborhood. I use to trade my toys lol. Unfortunately I don't have the set anymore nor do I have a lot of my childhood toys. I think my mother threw a lot away. Salty.
New subscriber here. Awesome! I've been searching the internet (or just UA-cam) for a video of these Toys. You've video is as complete as it gets. Very informative. When the line was still out on mass retail, I always wanted to have a Chun-Li. I asked my parents to buy me one. Never got one. Then, Fast forward to 2004, I suddenly got 4 of them. I got them in a discount bin (of course) for 10 Philippine pesos each, which would be around 25cents US. Funny thing, each have yellowed at different rates. The Carded one I have is more Yellow than one I have on display. :D Thanks again for the ULTRA video. :)

"I'm listening...but let's not pay any licencing fees, make him Sergeant Savage. oh and btw, no Nazis and especially no Hitler" A few moments later... Hasbro exec is all "well that was a lot of unsold product this year. Fuck it, it's the 90's let's just "go EXTREME" and add a new Spawn looking villian since Cobra isn't EXTREME enough."
Hasbro exec's had a lot of leftover parts from previous figures and decided to screw over the public with them thinking kids wouldn't notice. They were right I actually didn't care when I got mine.
There was also a street fighter movie figures where they made all new mold of the figures and even guile to make him Juan Claude van damme What kinda stinks is that the ryu figure was advertised but it was never released some of the other figures were repaints like Dhalsim and e Honda and other figures are brand new like Chun li she had a crappy suit but she actually has her real suit like it in the game man I wish you saw this just go on yojoe.com and search up street fighter movie trust me you’re gonna like it

The toys do need to come relatively close if not exact to the source material (which I think that’s what you mean by origin story) for kids to want it or act out there favorite scenes from the show. If not the result is in time ppl lose interest because it derails from what it originally was. Like most 90’s toys ended up doing buddy.

J remember the time j was plaing wooden sticks like war soldiers. In our times every toy must be super realistic, every movie is in ultra hd ready at the same time losing sense of being.

they fixed most of them for the movie line, thankfully
on balrog everything except for the head is a reuse of big boa's parts, this is the same for most of the other figures reusing other joe parts
