Gotta say, I may sound asinine doing this warm up, but it 100% works. Makes hitting higher notes feel more natural and softer on the throat.
I did this and my parents are are planning to send me to a mental hospital next week
No comments let me fix that
😂
Have fun!

For anyone wondering, this video works %100. It only took 2 days to start seeing results! Now it's been about a month and my vocal range in more than an octive higher
How do you know it’s an octave higher? Do you have perfect pitch? Genuine question
I've been using my piano to keep track, I started out only being able to hit an F4, now I'm able to hit a G5 ( I've also been taking voice lessons recently so that helped a lot)
@@JemmypostsThanks for the encouragement! What's the highest note that we hit in this lesson?
@@pal999The highest note that we hit is a C6. Hope this helps!!

Wow I’m definitely trying this warmup for my singing
I really wanna sing but i am dying out of laughter 😭😂💀
I’ve been told my whole life that I’m a soprano only to find out I’m actually an alto. So, now doing vocal exercises and this one is amazing
I'm a contralto but can eaily go up to E5, so while doing these exercises sort of yelling "Mum" I got the hiccups and my neighbour heard me, rang the door bell since she was convinced I had a stroke or a mental breakdown since my mother recently died. I tried to explain but I'm not sure she believed me. Good times.
@@AnnaKaize I’m so sorry for your loss. I wish you the best, with your voice, and with your family.

@@RosaGonzalez-hx9nz literally a few days after doing it. But I did it when I woke up and at night before bed. It definitely takes some faithfulness.
I started in Feburary and have seen some improvement in my voice.
Trying this practice for 2 weeks! and i'll let you know the results
Update : This practice is actually accurate after 2 weeks my high notes actually sound a lot better than before and people compliments my voice when i sing! You should try this exercise if you want to improve your high notes quicker or just want to improve your high notes tbh! hope that helped!

Greetings,I am new here, please when I'm singing my throat is always trying what may be the cost? please help me
I sing and have a vocal range of G#2 - D7. I have a pretty mixed voiced type and versatile voice. My main issue i struggled with was confidence and fear of sounding bad. It took me months of singing in secret before i could sing aloud with ppl around. Im only 6 months into my journey and ive noticed MASSIVE improvements. Soon i stopped being scared of singing bad, i sang good. I had a little confidence set back but my fathers never been supportive of anything ive done. My fiancé encouraged me to continue and said she wont let me stop. Good music is a universal language.
That's incredible for a male! D7?!
@@pal999 Yeah but I can't hold those notes for extended periods of time. I can reach them for few seconds to hit a certain noe but it's not a comfortable singing note. I have a powerful voice and I've always mimicked sounds and made sound effects as a kid, lol. So when I started singing I started by mimicking other singers, their style, techniques, sound, all of it. Which gave me an opportunity to try out many different styles and Genre's and find which suits my voice type best. But I love all music so I sing anything I know the lyrics to, lol
Anthony here's something to help with your dad problem
I'm a total beginner. Just started this mid January 2022. I'm hoping I'm at least doing these warm ups correctly. As long as I'm trying then I know that is a start. Thank you!
hope u are doing well!
i’m sure you got it!
Im a total beginner too!!! How are you doing with your singing ?? I hope Im able to learn with online UA-cam videos 😢
So did you quit or just gonna ignore our quriosity are you still singing?

This actually works so well! I've been doing this for over a year. My range has increased by 4 tones!! (From a A6 to an E6!)
Stick with it, it's worth it
omggggggg i hope to reach therreee
you will,@@jerushaoketch4293 , keep at it and don't let yourself get discouraged!
@@jerushaoketch4293 how has it been?
@@TakiDraws it actually works, I've never been able to sing so clearlyyy😭it's like a miracle for sure.
@@jerushaoketch4293 omggg i hope it works for me too one dayyy, ive been wanting to hit the phantom of the opera climax but im a mezzo. Btw whats your vocal range from where you started and now?
I fuxking love this guy. He's one of my favorite singing coaches online. 😊
I used to sing when I was younger. I quit for a long time. Then I started singing in the car again not too long ago. And to say I was rusty is an understatement. Like literally my vocal chords probably had rust on them lol. Anyways. I forced a lot. I think I hurt my voice a bit...coz after a while I didn't sound the same. And I got worse. Lost some abilities I had prior to butchering my vocal chords. So I quit doing that. And now I really try to warm up before I try singing and just try to drink water and do what I can to prepare to sing. I still have a long way to go I think before I get my voice back...my real voice. I'm really quite sure I did some damage. I was trying to teach myself to scream too...which I think took a toll as well haha. So now I'm like not even at square 1...square 1 is like way down the way in the distance. I'm at like square -50 lol. Anyways. Here's hoping I can help get it back, if not improve even more so than my low standard... using only youtube videos lol. 😊
1 month of practicing this (and the how to teach yourself to sing in 10 steps video) and i'm seeing a very major improvement in my voice!!!
When?
This video has improved my tone quality so much I’ve been doing this for 2 weeks and pitch improved by 3 tones so very helpful
Update
Now l can pretty much more easily so if anyone doubting whether to do this or not DO ITT this 100% works
that falsetto advice with the mum sound helped me so freakin much, i've had trouble with that for so long, thank you so much
What really works for reaching high notes while belting, i sing 'love is an open DOOR' and i draw breath from ths pit of my stomach- from this i actually learnt to sing Defying Gravity! Xx
Damn.. I'm proud of myself... even though I have a botched ass nose... I was able to breathe, realax & do the entire thing. I have my own daily vocal warm up... But sometimes I'll come across ones and try them out so far so good!
i’m proud of you!

Am I the only one having hard time doing lip trill 😂😂😂😂😂
That shit is impossible lol I was having the hardest time

Yes
Take a very deep breath before doing it and really blow it out aggressively cause you're gonna lose the trill if you kinda just blow normally
im gonna try to practice this for 2-3 weeks and ill let u know the results!
Update 2 weeks: it kinda working this is so good! My high notes got better. Y’all should try this I’ll do this for 1 week or more and there will be another update
Update 3 weeks: sry for not update but my voice has become better and many ppl complimanted me and yeah idk what to say

It's really fun to do though I'll just be doing that when I'm bored now.
Glad I'm not the only one getting winded, I love this though, my trills turn into airy fat noises when I descend, can't wait to hear the improvement!

Thank you so very much I just so this after a year God bless you so very much for your kindness
Always do it ..!!❤️❤️
I am a lyric tenor. Lighter tone quality. Out of practice. Get hoarse after 1 or 2 songs in choir. Going to try 15 minutes a day or more drills. Need to sing lower and louder, want more "edge or core" to my voice. Will practice with posture and support. Had 3+ years of lessons a few years ago. It is tough to compete with those with dramatic and loud voices. I expect drills to help with what i want. Your explanations are great! Thank you for posting these. May drill some while driving, may get funny looks too!
Thanks to you, my high note gote 10x more better. You are amazing.
I used to be in choir when I was in public school, now I am homeschooled and this reminds me so much of it. I'm. Definitely adding this to an everyday thing
Thank you sooooo much
