Him and Dan Carle from Nostalia/ ATB are my two fav lefties for sure. Nice when they record from audience perspective and turns out to be drummers perspective for righties. Just makes it easier to learn by ear

I clicked like it was a reflex I didn't even realize I did it untill my mind was already blown.
Been listening to VoM since the first album and I've never really paid attention to the drumming, but it's interesting after seeing this that the drums aren't as technical as I'd imagined. Really respectable that he is more of a pocket drummer than just being overly technical.
Really depends on the song with Sam. Some older tracks like It's not safe to swim today have some wild drum parts

Sam is a great drummer, but as a metal fan I have to say the original VOM was much better than this fusion of Jonny Craig and diet Chugcore
Yeah the prime was common man’s collapse
It's a toss up for me between all things set aside and common man's collapse. Got to open for these guys a few times around that time and dude had such an influence on my style and the kind of music we wrote after playing with them. Still one of my all time favs though
been a fan since then too. Like the newer stuff much better. False Idol was peak imo
