In Stock Trimmer As of May 2nd, 2020 LATEST VIDEO: DIY Home Haircut - Philips Norelco Beard and Hair Trimmer - Series 5000: ua-cam.com/video/zae04BSqivg/v-deo.html
Hello thanks for the video ! I think it is time for me and I'm about to buy this one but do you know if it will be ok for "afro" hair ? Hard to find any info for this Thanks
I trimmed my hair by myself a few days ago (Norelco 7000), i did it for the first time and it turned out good. My wife helped me with the neck hair. Thanks for the video!
Hi, rorodegdeg. You are most welcome! As each of us has our own unique hair type, the only sure way to know how the product will work for you is to test it out and see what you think. Personally, I know the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 is a great product for my thicker type hair. You can check out my earlier video review here (ua-cam.com/video/eFn0Si1Bmyc/v-deo.html) that details all its features and review the comments for some community insights. If anyone out in the GroomReviews community can share their experience with the Multigroom 7000 on this type of hair, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for watching and being a member of the GroomReviews community! Stay safe. All the best!
Hi, Vladi-Sch. Awesome! You are most welcome. Thanks for sharing with the community. Great job! Thanks for watching and being a member of the GroomReviews community. Stay safe. All the best!
I've been looking for a video that uses this exact trimmer I already have as I was nervous to give it a go when not knowing the unit's potential. Watched you do it a couple of times and jumped in. My cut is by no means perfect but it definitely did what I needed. Thanks for posting!
Hi, Mike. You are most welcome! Great to hear! I'm so happy this video was able to help you achieve the result you were looking for. Nice job with your DIY home haircut! Thanks for watching and being a member of the GroomReviews community! Stay safe. All the best!
As always - thank you for the tips. I've been cutting my own hair and beard for about 6 years and I can recommend this to everyone. It's more convenient to do the haircut by yourself. And nowadays this skill is even more valuable since all the barbershops are closed. Cheers!
Hi, Zer0TheHer0. You are most welcome. Yes, with the barber shops closed, it is a perfect time to experiment at home. Cutting your hair at home can be nerve racking and intimidating at first, but if we just take our time and allow for mistakes, we will learn and grow and have a greater sense of confidence each time we trim. Eventually, as you've found, we get better, find it to come second nature and it translates to a money saving skill. Thanks so much for sharing your insights. I appreciate you watching and your support of the channel. Stay safe. All the best!
I have been cutting my families hair for years. This is absolutely amazing how you can do this yourself. I love this video and how amazing your cut came out. Hoping I can retire and my family can now cut their own hair. Thanks again.
Hi, ilovewicked23. Thank you so much for the kind words. I greatly appreciate the positive feedback and your continued support of the channel! Sounds like your family has had you as their own personal barber for a long time. That is a great savings being able to cut hair yourself and not having to go out to the barber. While we are all home, now is a great time to pass on the haircutting skills you've acquired over the years. I hope this video can be helpful for your family and build their confidence in cutting their own hair. You may make a few barbers out of them ;) . Good Luck! Thanks for watching and being a positive influence in the GroomReviews community! Stay safe. All the best!
Hi, Norm. Thank you so much! I appreciate the positive feedback and I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the video. Good luck with your at home haircut! Thanks for watching and your support of the channel! Stay safe. All the best!
I learned hair cut using this video only. Also I learned how to cut the top of the hair too from another video from another guy Andy . Thank you. I started doing this for my husband since 2020. Saved a lot of money for us. Thank you .
Your video truly helps alot. It gaves me the inspiration, the motivation and also the courage to start cuting on my own. It is amazing and I'm so grateful to come across this remarable video of yours.
Hi, Elias. That's great. Now is a perfect time to make mistakes, learn from them and build confidence in how to cut your own hair. Keep at it and have fun! Thanks for watching and being part of the GroomReviews community! Stay Safe. All the best!
Hi, BlaZe iT. Awesome! Sounds like each time you step to the table you're really building your confidence in hair cutting. Keep up the great work! Thanks for watching and your continued support of the channel. I really appreciate it! Stay safe out there. All the best!
GroomReviews Yeah it’s actually pretty fun! Made me want to buy a professional clipper lol. I’d recommend watching some fade tutorials, it made my haircuts way easier once I’ve tried them. Take care and stay safe!
I just bought this from Harvey Norman 2 hours ago. They recommend this since all hair clippers are sold out. When I unboxed it I was quite disappointed as all the fittings are for beard which I have none. I was intending to return it when I watched your video and realized it will work just fine. Thanks

Perfectly timed video!! I literally just bought this clipper off of the recommendation made in one of your other videos and needed a tutorial to cut my hair once it arrived. Thank you!!

I must say. I bought this today at Walmart. I ordered something similar on Amazon and it was back ordered. I have not touched the packaging yet. After watching your video I will do my own unboxing. I also gave a thumbs up and subbed. I have used Norelco shavers for about 40 of my 63 years and I have remained a loyal user; had the same shaver for about 20 years but bought a series 9000 5 years back and that was my daily driver, at least until you know what ahem, so, no need to shave every day ahem... I'm a violinist and I adored the music and loved that it wasn't interrupted. I'm probably twice your age but I was laughing and smiling throughout your video, to the point that I will need to watch it several more times before I actually do this so I have a sense of what I'm doing. Your delivery was great. Be safe, be well. Peace.
Hi, Hoople57. Thank you so much! I greatly appreciate your support of the channel and your SUB. So glad you enjoyed the video and the selection of music :) . Best of luck with your at home haircut. I bought the same one back in Black Friday ($20) what a steal! It’s amazing for all places ;). So far I cut my own hair twice using this product. Saved me from looking bad lol

Dude, you're a legend! I received my Multigroom 9000 today, and it's currently charging. I'll keep watching your video a few times before I go to experiment in the bathroom! lol not going to mess a lot with my hair, just gonna trim it overall so it gets shorter, but I'll try to be artistic with the beard xD wish me luck!

Your video made a real difference. I have the Philips Norelco Bodygromer 5000 with the same 4 hair grooming attachments. After watching your video several times, I finally used it last night and, while the finer guards show a few bare spots around my ears, my hair looks better than it has for months. It had been almost 3 months since my last haircut. I’ll still go to my barber when we can. Meantime the bodygrommer and your video ace made a real positive difference. Thanks!

Hey, I finally tried it out. Not the best, but so much better than before. Thanks a ton. Please add a video on cutting the hair on the top of the head using the same unit if possible.
Hi, Nirav. You are most welcome! Great job jumping in and trying your first at home haircut. I actually just posted a new video trimming the top of my head with the Philips Norelco Beard Trimmer 5500, which you can find here: ua-cam.com/video/zae04BSqivg/v-deo.html. The Philips Norelco Multigroom trimmers are out of stock, however, this beard trimmer, which is actually a hair trimmer as well, is still available and I'm demonstrating it's use. Take a look and see what you think. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching and being a member of the GroomReviews community! Stay safe. All the best!

Hi, Richard. You are most welcome! You are definitely not alone :) . Once the weeks start to pass in our homes, it's just a matter of time until we see ourselves in the mirror one day and realize, oh boy, whose gonna cut my hair. But this is the perfect time to start the habit and build that confidence level. The first trim is the scariest, but in this situation make it fun and experiment. No one's really gonna see us and even the people we may have to see are gonna need to cut their hair at some point too, so we are all in this together! Thank you for watching and supporting the channel. Great to have you as a member of the GroomReviews community! Stay safe. All the best!
@GroomReviews. Just wanted to thank you for this video. Thanks to you I was able to cut my sons hair before his birthday tomorrow. God bless you and your family always!🙏🏻

So, happy to hear you were able to give your son a special haircut before his big day! I wish him a very Happy Birthday! Thank you for all your support of the channel. Stay safe. All the best!
You did an amazing job 👍👏 My 13 year old is already as hairy as you are and even has a beard! 🧔 his last haircut was in January. I was down ill so couldn't take him and he's afraid of getting a haircut as we're still maintaining high position with this pandemic. I just got this trimmer, but not sure how well I'll do with my hairy bear 🐻 Wish me good luck guys. tomorrow is the big day! 💇
Hi, Sana. You are most welcome! I'm glad you found this video helpful. Best of luck with the trim! Thanks for supporting the channel and being a member of the GroomReviews community! All the best!
Im using the same trimmer and especially the adjustable guard 3-7, I guess its for beard but its working great to hair and that's the trick to replace the half, that this trimmer doesn't have, by putting the indicator between numbers.
Hi, Innocent. Thanks for sharing your experience with the GroomReviews community. Sounds like you may have the Philips Norelco Multigroom 9000? I know that model includes the 3-7mm adjustable beard guard. Great to hear that the hair cutting is working out for you. Keep up the great job! Update to my previous comments posted a week ago. Managed to snag a Multigroom 7000 at my local Costco today and after giving it a 3 hr. charge, put it to use on my hair. Used the 4mm Comb Guard with the wide hair blade and gave myself a pretty decent cut on both sides of my head, including around and behind my ears with no problem. The hair in the back part was harder to shave evenly and so, one side or length came out slightly shorter than the other but I was very pleased with the result being it my first time ever cutting my hair. Also used the ear and nose trimmer for my ears. The Mutligroom 7000 is a fantastic device! Worth every penny. After my cut, I certainly felt "clean and comfortable" again after going two months with no cut.
Hi, Stephen. Fantastic! Way to get your hands on the Multigroom 7000. I have been getting massive amounts of community members around the world letting me know that this trimmer is out of stock in their area. Awesome job jumping in for your first home haircut! Sounds like you very quickly picked up a new skill and are feeling confident with what this trimmer can do for you. Keep up the great work! I'm so happy to hear that your getting Comfortable, Confident and Clean with your DIY home haircut. Thanks so much for your continued support of the channel! Keep building this new skill and enjoy your future haircuts. Stay safe! All the best!
@@GroomReviews , Paul, I watched your video demonstration 3-4 times before I worked up enough confidence to finally give it try. I also convinced my Dad who is 90, to watch one or two of your video reviews and he wanted to try it too and so ordered the Philip's 5000 for him. 😅👍
Hi, Stephen. Wow! That's amazing. Will he be trying to cut his hair himself or does he have someone to help him out? So great to hear that these videos are able to resonate with people around the world of varying ages and that we can all come together to share in a common human experience that unites us. Very cool. I would be very interested to hear how your father enjoys the Philips 5000 and how his at home haircut turns out. Please keep me informed and thank him for being a member of the GroomReviews community! I wish him the best of luck. Stay safe. All the best!
@@GroomReviews , yes your videos have been so helpful and we are all in need of this. My Dad not doing his own hair. He had his caregiver help him with it. And I am pleased to say his cut came out well and he is very happy with the Philip's 5000.

Hi, Neelambari. That's Fantastic! You are most welcome! I'm so happy to hear this video gave you the confidence to cut your husbands hair. And the fact that he looks Awesome really shows what we can do when we push past our fears and face new challenges head on. Great job! I appreciate your support of the channel and it's great to have you as a member of the GroomReviews community! Stay safe. All the best!
Your video was really helpful. I cut my hair for the first time ever using the multigroom 7000. Since the longest guard is 16 mm or 5/8 inch it is difficult if you want longer hair on top. I managed by using clipper over fingers while sticking my fingers on scalp, forehead towards back, and repeatedly grabbing and cutting upstanding hair with a guard. In the end everything worked nicely and I have a haircut of which to be proud!!
Hi, itreallyhappened. Thank you so much for the positive feedback. I greatly appreciate your support of the channel. Awesome job jumping right in and cutting your hair for the first time! So happy to hear you were able to achieve a cut you were happy with and build that confidence. Best of luck with your future home haircut. If interested, and you haven't seen already, I recently posted a DIY Home Haircut video using the Philips Norelco Beard Trimmer 5500 seen here: ua-cam.com/video/zae04BSqivg/v-deo.html. This trimmer includes a little longer setting of 20mm for its highest setting. @@GroomReviews Yes the 5500 is definitely good for cutting the top long! Very convenient settings too. I need to save some more money while gaining expertise with the 7000 before I will pay for another gadget. The 7000 of course is more versatile and I found the t-blade and the eyebrow trimmer, for example, very useful. With some longer length guards it would be hard to beat but alas Norelco does not make those. So if I decide to invest in my next clipper I may want to get a Wahl when it becomes available. Your video, I should add, was excellent as usual. The music is especially helpful in calming the hair-cutting nerves. Thank you again. (I will see if you have a video for a Wahl at some point in the future. )

I cut my husband's hair last month (first time) with scissors only. It came out great. Surprise! He now has confidence in my cutting skills. lol So, we bought a trimmer. Same brand, different model. I'm sure the concept is the same. I thank you for this video! Looks like fun. =D

Hi, Andres. Thank you, again. Your kind words are very much appreciated. Thank you for being a positive influence in the GroomReviews community! Have a great night!
Recently picked up the MG7715 (younger sibling of MG7750) which is sold in my region, almost similar except your model seems to have way more blade and comb attachments, which is good. Thanks for this video, not only did I get a better idea about using the trimmer well but also some tricks on the hair clipping techniques.

I just bought a Norelco 5000 from CVS. They are located behind the counter up front. Regular cost is $43.29. I had a 30% off coupon which saved me an additional $12.99. On top of that I also got $5.00 in extrabucks rewards. So much quicker than waiting for Amazon to deliver if they are on back order. Let the experiment begin!

Exactly what I wish I had 3 weeks ago. I had to cut my own and the only videos I could find were of people who had already been doing this and seemed to have an idea. The sides are easy it’s trying to do the back that’s so hard and if you have a mirror-everything’s inverted. Getting the fade isn’t easy at all and I couldn’t see well enough to get it right. One note: scissors are really hard, again if it’s just you, and getting the back is terrible. Just use that 16mm for the top, but then go shorter for the sides. Also doing the ears, and neck are really tough again because of inverted so just fade it and you won’t notice.

I find that the longest guard (16 mm) is too short for the top of my head. Maybe using a comb while trimming with the 16 mm guard would add some more length for the top.

Hi, victorescu. That's exactly right. The Philips Norelco Series 5100 has tighter and even more incremental settings to work with. Additionally, it includes the long hair and short hair guard, as well as the beard guard. It should work well for you. If you give it a shot, would love to know how it goes. Good luck! Thanks for watching and stay safe out there. All the best!
Thanks man I made my decision I'm gonna buy this one! but I'm not gonna buy it from you link because I live in Brazil I thought that I wasn't going to pay tax. But the tax that I'll pay is more high than the price of the trimmer! sorry about that man.
I faded my hair last week with the 7000. I actually think that it is a better fader and trimmer than many regular clippers out there just takes a lil longer. But yea I fucked up my hair lmao
Hi, Kyle. Awesome! I appreciate you sharing. Now, you take that experience and keep building upon it. With every haircut, your confidence will grow until you find that hairstyle you're looking for. That took balls I would never! solid trim though man I would rock it if this quarantine lasted a couple more months! I miss my skin fade :( and my barber.... 😭😭
Hi, pandakiller523. Thank you so much for the positive feedback and support of the channel. I greatly appreciate it! With the barber shops closed, it is a perfect time to experiment cutting your hair at home. Cutting your hair at home can be nerve racking and intimidating at first, but if we just take our time and allow for mistakes, we will learn and grow and have a greater sense of confidence each time we trim. Eventually, we get better, find it to come second nature and it translates to a money saving skill. Test out that skin fade and see what you can do. You might surprise yourself with what you can achieve. Thanks so much for watching and your support of the channel. Stay safe. All the best!
Hi, Jon. Thank you so much! I greatly appreciate the positive feedback and thank you for sharing your experience of the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 with the community! I had that revelation a few days when cutting my own hair that I've been paying 30$/month for the same haircut I could have at home in half the time lol
Hi, Simon. Thank you for sharing with the community! I'm happy to hear you've developed a new skill to save you some money. Best of luck with your at home haircuts. Keep up the great work! Thanks for watching and being part of the GroomReviews community! Stay safe. All the best!
I've been cutting my own hair for years but I've never done anything fancy. Normally, I either just cut it to skin lever without any attachments or using the smallest attachment. But I always just cut it evenly. Maybe I should try something a bit more complex. See what happens.

U know what, AWESOME REVIEW!! That’s the clipper I own, the Phillips Norelco 7000! In fact, I got it after watching your great review on it! I love how you say that its a great time to try a DIY haircut now because no one’s going to see you anyway because of the quarantine LOL!! Funny as hell! I may watch your video a couple more times before I try that though. Our hair is not the same, I have wavy hair and I’m going for a specific look. But you’ve motivated me to try doing it myself! I’ll let you know if I do! Thanks for another great video!
Hi, The Bearded Witness. You are most welcome! Thank you so much. I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and appreciate the positive feedback. Awesome to hear you are motivated to jump in and give that DIY home haircut a try. Remember, we are all in this together. GroomReviews Hey Paul! My video is up! I tagged you on it and copied your link in the description! Again, thanks for motivating me to cut my own hair! Of course, its not something I would want to continue doing on a permanent basis, its too nerve wrecking! Plus I’m very picky with my hair, I strive for perfection so I’d rather keep going to my barber! Take care!
OMG! That is Fantastic! Thank you so much! It really means a lot that my video inspired you and gave you the motivation to jump in and try out your first at home haircut. Great Job! Like you said, it's definitely nerve wracking, but you stepped up with confidence and went for it. You got the experience, made some mistakes here and there, but you built a new skill and can continue to grow from here. Remember, you are not alone. All of us, all over the world are in this together. People in every country around the globe are trying to cut their hair for the first time. It's good to make mistakes and not get that perfect result off the bat. That's what can give us the determination to strive for more. Definitely, do not be discouraged. All great things take practice. Next time you try to cut your hair, you will have a knowledge base to start with and your confidence and results will only thrive. I am deeply appreciative of your support and for showing me the impact that these videos truly have. It is a great honor to have you in the GroomReviews community! Much love. Stay safe. All the best!

Hello thanks for the video !
I think it is time for me and I'm about to buy this one but do you know if it will be ok for "afro" hair ?
Hard to find any info for this
Thanks
Did it using the same clippers. Even got brave and used my fingers to trim the top. It worked out better than expected.
this guy looks friendly.. id have a beer with him
I've been looking for a video that uses this exact trimmer I already have as I was nervous to give it a go when not knowing the unit's potential.
Hi, I just bought this for my husband and it was fun. After watching the video I cut his hair. Thanks
You actually did a half decent job of cutting your hair by yourself. I'm impressed!
Note to self: "watch the video AND THEN cut the hair"
Hi, Elias. That's great. Now is a perfect time to make mistakes, learn from them and build confidence in how to cut your own hair. Keep at it and have fun! Thanks for watching and being part of the GroomReviews community! Stay Safe. All the best!
I also have a Multigroom 7000 and cut my own hair for the first time with it! It came out pretty nice, I’ve done it again since 👍🏼
Hi, BlaZe iT.
Thanks

Thank you! This help this mom to cut my son's hair during the lockdown.
Perfectly timed video!! I literally just bought this clipper off of the recommendation made in one of your other videos and needed a tutorial to cut my hair once it arrived. Thank you!!
Hi, 2much4yall. You are most welcome! I'm so glad to hear this video came at the perfect time. Best of luck with cutting your hair at home. Thanks for watching and your support of the channel! Great to have you in the GroomReviews community! Stay safe. All the best!

Omg, I'm not alone hahaha. This is so relevant right now. Thanks Paul!

Hey man, thanks for the tips, it actually worked out fine for me. Just started with the longer comb and worked my way down with the shorter ones.
Hi, Mehdi. You are most welcome! Awesome to hear! That's a great way to go at it.
Very cool. Hi, Neelambari. That's Fantastic! You are most welcome! I'm so happy to hear this video gave you the confidence to cut your husbands hair.
Thanks for watching and being a member of the GroomReviews community! Stay safe. All the best!
(I will see if you have a video for a Wahl at some point in the future. )
I just did it. Boy I made a mess.. Luckily mostly out of my bathroom not the head 😂😂. Thx for the very good vid, 7000 is really good to have.

Recently picked up the MG7715 (younger sibling of MG7750) which is sold in my region, almost similar except your model seems to have way more blade and comb attachments, which is good. I just bought a Norelco 5000 from CVS. They are located behind the counter up front. Regular cost is $43.29. I had a 30% off coupon which saved me an additional $12.99. The best soundtrack ever!

Thank you for your product review 👍🏽 I bought the multigroom 7000 and did self hair cutting :) It came out excellent 👌

I find that the longest guard (16 mm) is too short for the top of my head. Maybe using a comb while trimming with the 16 mm guard would add some more length for the top.
Awesome work, great video, and easy to follow. Will be cutting my hair after work using this trimmer. Will assess the damage tomorrow.

I have the Phillips norelco 5100. The adjustment wheel means I can hit most of the lenghts I need. Will probably give it a shot.
@@GroomReviews thanks for the pointers and thinking of us making this video! Stay safe!
Hi, victorescu. You are most welcome! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the video and found it helpful.
Keep experimenting and having fun with it! Thanks for watching and being a member of the GroomReviews community! Stay safe. All the best!

Nice job, pal. I have the same thing, but only use it for my beard and tapering my hair line. I use a Wahl cordless trimmer to cut my hair.
Hi, Jon. Thank you so much! I greatly appreciate the positive feedback and thank you for sharing your experience of the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 with the community! I'm happy to hear it's been working well on your beard and hair line. Thanks for watching and your support of the channel! Stay safe. All the best!
Great video! Exactly what i was looking for 🙏 appreciate it 🍻
I've been cutting my own hair for years but I've never done anything fancy. Normally, I either just cut it to skin lever without any attachments or using the smallest attachment. But I always just cut it evenly. Maybe I should try something a bit more complex. See what happens.
This was so very helpful and just the dose of confidence and instruction that I needed before cutting my husband's hair. Thank you, sir!
