The human village Asura tries to protect gets destroyed in a cowardly attack, which kills the human girl he befriended, who looks like Mithra. Asura loses it and turns super evil and super powerful (resembling Asura from actual believes).
I cut the fleet battle short, it's not part of the boss but cool. For all you DBZ fanboys out there who won't stop guessing who's the strongest: Berserk Asura tanks a direct hit from a beam charged by 6 trillion (!) souls and simply walks it off. And he's far from his strongest form. Still, Yasha manages to defeat him again. Berserk Asura and the music during the boss fight remember me of Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm by the same dev, Cyber Connect 2. - Ігри

Well, a remastered would just make the game look better and run smoother and have some extra features like make the dlc into the game instead of you buying it. A Remake however would make the game and graphics look 100X better, a smoother fighting style, button smashing and longer fight scenes, along with having all the dlc and some other cool shit with the same story and all.

Bro, its one of the games I can never get tired of playing over and over again. Def needs a remake or a HD ver for the new consoles.

Samondier, the reason it was such an underrated "GAME", is because that's exactly it! There is not much "GAME" to speak of! It's one big slightly interactive movie, with tons of beautiful cutscenes, rail shooting scenes and quick time events!
And even when you could completely control asura or yasha, the fights were painfully repetitive. Shallow and very few combo options, fights that pointlessly dragged on for up to ten minutes, and even IF you could forgive all of that, the full-control fights were very far and few.
Asura's wrath barely passes as a "GAME". It might as well just be a visual interactive novel, albeit a truly beautiful one of that.
Let's make it VERY CLEAR. NO ONE hates the game, everyone who knows about it loves the story and were thrilled when they saw the cameo appearance of ryu and akuma xDDD. they just grew tired of the repetitive "gameplay", even though it can be adrenaline rushing at times. And because of this very reason, it got mediocre scores. But it definitely deserves a place in our hearts as one of the most epic and touching fantasy videogame illustrations Man has ever created. I literally cannot think of any game that is remotely similar to Asura's wrathe, neither in visual theme nor gameplay style.
It was clear that the devs were bit too focused on creating michael bay epic proportions of explosions and set pieces, that they probably either didn't have enough time nor had the money or resources to refine the actual "GAME" to be more playable and enjoyable.
In short, this "game" only exists purely for the thrill of the story, nothing else. If it weren't for the gripping story, I can literally gaurantee you it would be reviewed as one of the lamest hack and slash games.
P.S. I AM WILLING TO BET, the only reason they featured akuma in this game, is because the fights in the story involves ANGER, and DEMONS, which coincidentally, akuma himself is a demon xDDDDD
Angelina Dash Honestlynis has more game than i expected which was nice. For how simple the gameplay was, i really enjoyed it. Not to mention the boss fights were pretty sick and the qtes never felt forced or out of place. I can always come back to this game and never get tired of it.
I like how Asura and Kratos cared for a girl who's almost similar to their daughters

When you're so many dimensions beyond pure, utter, raw, unbridled fury, you can't even scream.
He's not even shooting anything at those ships and missiles there. That's just his unimaginable rage alone tearing apart the atmosphere and breaking the ships. His desire to punch them in the face transcends all logic, space, and time.

Yasha had the power of plot on his side here because we know he couldn't have stood a chance against this version of Asura.
To be fair, Asura got blasted by a cannon fueled by 13 trillion souls to the point where he lost his extra spectral arms. It more or less weakened him greatly.
Asura lost most of the power he had when he initially transformed. His mantra levels kept increasing to the point that it was actually tearing him apart from the inside out, essentially making him weaker overall. Hence him being burned black. Rather than the cannon having done that, his own power was burning him to death from the inside. That is the only reason Yasha came out on top.
Am i the only one who really really hate yasha's character and felt nothing but satisfaction when he died. Deus was all the way bad and we know that typical bad guy. But its characters like yasha i hate the most. The whole time I was so disgusted at yasha.
Let me tell you my perspective:
Yasha betrayed his brother in law, says he's the good guy.
Watched his sister being killed, says he's the good guy.
Killed his friend who was trying to save his daughter, says he's the good guy.
Killed over a million mortals for power, says he's the good guy.
Imprisoned his niece for over a millennia still says he's one of the good guys.
His lack of conviction is what disgusts me. The rest of the Gods were blinded by greed and their own pride. Even Deus accepted that his actions were evil. He knew what he did when he betrayed Asura. I know he eventually sees the wrong in what he did but when he got his screen time it was always so awful. He's literally the embodiment of what I don't believe in.

Discussing plans with Asura is kinda impossible.
The Seven Deities betrayed Asura, killed his wife, framed him for murdering the leader of their people, kidnapped his daughter to keep her prisoner, and sent him hurtling into the Earth where he festered for centuries. They're long past the point of peaceful negotiation.
Deus got blind by his pride,he didn't want any help and wanted to kill Vlitra by himself alone.Thats why he's the Mantra of Pride and God of Pride.
For one thing, they always looked down on him for being the late edition to the Guardian Generals and were far too arrogant to accept that he is more powerful than they are. Plus they already killed is wife and tortured his daughter for 12 millienia, so they probably figured he wasn't going to just be like "Ha ha, okay, I forgive you! Let's all get along now!"

Well, I don't know what this is but everytime I watch any video where this Asura is in, one thing is the same. And that is, whenever Asura is getting his ass whooped he just thinks about this little girl who might be his daughter and then Asura gets enraged with anger and no matter how strong his opponent is, Asura be just like "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaa" and then beats his foes. Well that Girl is his Daughter also he's the God of Wrath/Rage so his vengeance knows no bounds
His power is his rage, before which Is why they call him the weakest of the demi gods, he never had a direct hatred for the corruption they fought, but when those he trusted turns on him it created a bomb and the suffering of his daughter was the final spark that keeps going.

From what I know of the story, gods involved killed his wife and stole his daughter because daughter was a magic girl that could buff their powers. Plus, they made his little girl cry, and any dad can relate with that one.

I like how the game shifts to someone who was previously an antagonist when facing down Berserk Asura--an implicit recognition that Berserk Asura is just as bad as those he fights, if not worse--he's just pure, unending destruction.
Berserk Asura basically is like Ghoma Vlitra, the regular game's final boss.

The moment the screen went black and white bruh the goosebumps you really feel it on another level.
The voice actor literally choked on his blood while he screamed and nearly DIED! That just makes this moment in the game even more chilling but amazing
Emotions aside, Wrath Asura is one of the most beastly designs I've ever seen in fiction. It's literally a form that represents anger and sorrow.

I mean yeah goku’s scream shook the planet but did it even cause things like ships to explode
Traumatized Sam his fight with beerus caused almost the destruction of a universe. and destroyed planets.
Damn, Asura's animations really manage to capture/convey the tragic, emotional flurry of disorientation, confusion, pain, realization, disbelief, sadness, acceptance, and then obviously intense anger and passionate hatred (or is it love...?) that the character understandably experiences in such a visceral fashion from 1:35 to 3:02. Props to the animators.
It reminds me of Ryan Gosling's gripping performance as Officer K in Blade Runner 2049 when he is told the truth about his memories by Dr. Stelline, and K realizes that he was lied to about his past/existence and had been living life under the false pretenses/memories forced upon him iirc. You see so many emotions go through each character's head via more or less subtle body language, culminating in a huge outburst of rage (though I suppose Asura does flail about more in the build-up than K and his outrage lasts longer).
Honestly, Asuras screams are just chilling. You can feel his anger and sadness in them.
I love this scene it really show and make us the viewers felt what Asura is feeling.
When the people who you thought was your Allied betrayed you and this is the rage I felt.
Arguably one of his best rage scenes yet and the music makes it WAY better.
This scene was so sad like Asura wasn’t even yelling in rage but in sadness like he was yelling in emotional pain and it’s fucking sad man

ill admit this was the saddest part of the game because if i had met someone who looks exactly like my child and someone killed them...i would of gone into rage as well....i even cried when i first seen it
Losing that girl was what made me certain that I loved the game. You have no idea how many times I went back and tried to change things, how many times I went and tried to perfect every qte, I knew it couldn’t be done but I still tried.
That fear of Failure of protecting the ones you love, is the most tramatizing thing nobody should go through. Asura's Wrath is one of those Game I unfortunately never played because I thought it was gonna be this "Final Fantasy" Turn based game.

jordy st-jacques yea but Asura killed god himself. And by god himself I mean this guy was the real deal. He created universes and galaxies around him. And asura just bashed his way through y'all the galaxies and suns thrown at him. And in the end killed god himself. Which in turn destroyed everything in space leaving blackeness. If I recall a galaxy is nothing compared to god himself.

jordy st-jacques I grew up watching dbz, broly is nothing compared too asura, mainly because of the fact that goku super saiyan one with a little boost beat him, not too mention that adult Gohan beat him too. I am not saying broly so weak, he is stronger than the average saiyan. But he does not have enough power to crush a god slayer like asura. If super saiyan God goku can not beat a god , what makes you think broly can?

I like how the game fights transition makes it fsel like their is transition and actual progress, plus awesome story telling

this was a good game if your into a storyline like this, its like a movie, this part right here was amazing and capcom did good along with the voice actor for asura, definitely a must keep game even when it cost money for other episodes it was so worth it iam a big asura fan.
