Chakravartin tries to force Asura to take his place as god, but Asura is so angry at him that he declines. Chakravartin has lots of abilities, but Asura always manages to fight back, no matter how strong he gets. The timing during that long QTE-attack by Chakravartin including the Genkidama is super tight. Might be the shortest time you have to press next to the battle against Oni. Screwed up two times, but it doesn't change the overall outcome. During that QTE-duel before defeating him, if you screw up, he beats Asura up hard. Might upload failed QTE animations later. Never failed that sequence, so I haven't seen it until screwing up on purpose.

The fact he fails this as well really sells it. He was trying to emulate the two strongest beings in a desperate attempt to succed. Asura obviously is one; tossing away his magic to throw hands like his enemy. But then he also copies the player; technically, the only power that will always rival his. His failure comes from his arrogance and misinterpretation of power, or rather the drive to use it fully. Both Asura and you desire to end this and save Mithra... and nothing will stop either of you at all from achieving that goal.

What I find amazing and ironic about this, is the fact Asura is fighting the Final Boss in his Final form while being in his *BASE/WEAKEST* form. It’s almost a plot twist in which his base form is ACTUALLY his final form.

This scene hits so insanely hard as a victim of parental abuse. The idea of a father caring so much for his child breaks me every time. Such a simple motivation, but that simplicity is what makes Asura's motivation so deeply moving. Just a man who loves his daughter more than anything else, even himself.

The fact the final battle takes place in a barren grey infinite world is so nice. Just you and an opponent. No flashy colors or anything. Just two infinite power beings dueling.
I like how Chakravartin has his own timing mechanism with custom buttons, it is a very creative idea from the creators.

They really need to, since the true ending was DLC when it was originally released. The disc had a pseudo ending that ended the Gohma part of the plot during episode 18 iirc but the last four episodes that fully tied up most of the plot threads were behind a goddamn paywall, which this fight is a part of. Whether that was due to the supposed reason of the game being literally too big for the disc it came on, as some say, or it being due to the attitude Capcom was having at the time, not for me to say, but either way, the game is at this point not in its complete form, and the PS3 and X360 stores will be down forever eventually, meaning unless they remaster it, the game as it is now will eventually be permanently incomplete to anyone whom wishes to play it without the DLC "True Ending"

The game was awesome, but if the conversations about Hinduism and religion in seeing in all the comments is a warning of itself.
The game was loosely based on Hinduism and Buddhism well having alot of fun fights and action scenes. I mean Asura isn't even a sigular term or person when it comes to the mythology.
So the game is based loosely on that.. I mean I think I figured that out when they were like robots or had giant space ships lol.
But beyond all that its just that fighting games like this just aren't popular or don't get good advertising, especially when they have to compete with similar games, but have bigger names behind them.... Like Naruto or Dragonball for example.

i have to say Chakravartin's final form is amazing. showing how he truly looks and his nature. amazing yet quite creepy.
I love the simplicity of it. Reminds me of Frieza transformation when his final was also smaller and looked more basic but was also most powerful.
I find the iron skeleton somehow less scary than his first form. The pinkish skin tone and rubbery limbs just creep me out. Is it just me?

the story of a man who was wronged in every sense of the word then felt a kind of anger that in the end was a justifiable one when even though he couldn't understand it at first he knew even after his death someone was making his daughter cry. he who went to depths of hell and to the heights of heaven to bring his wrath on those who wronged him and made his daughter cry.
it's actually am amzing story to show how far anyone, in this case a father will go to make everyone pay for the wrongs they committed on him, his murdered wife, and making his daughter suffer for their own selfish goals.

It's such a small detail in this fight, but I appreciate how Asura briefly slumps his shoulders as the giant orb flies towards him; before moving to just punch it anyway. I'd say it's a sign of Asura's realization of how absolutely unmatched he is, but still continues regardless. Or I'm reading into animations too much.
Man, this may have been uploaded 6 years ago, but the way you played the final boss really felt like Asura was slowly learning, rather than watching someone do perfect inputs. It really felt like Asura was overcoming Chakravartin, instead of just him beating the God to a bloody pulp. A main example would be that first uppercut clash, God it hurt to see Asura take that punch. But watching him return it on the second clash? *-Chef Kiss-* Excellente'

4 years ago this video came out, only getting recommended to me today. I have beaten Asura's Wrath so many times over, and to this day that game is one of my absolute all time favorites. Legitimately a story of how a father gets back at every single person who harmed his daughter and made her cry, to the point of ending LITERALLY GOD HIMSELF AND ALL THAT EXISTS BECAUSE OF IT because of that fact. BRUH. Fucking Asura, forever will be the goat in my eyes.

Chakravartin filled the gaps during Episodes 20-21 I would assume.
Probably had time to full in the gaps, also I'm assuming her powers and lineage helped. She was able to see her dead mom before Asura K.O.ed the big guy.
Asura in a Nutshell: A likeable and selfless version of Kratos.

One of my favorite little things here is that, despite appearing to be entirely flesh and blood, despite appearing so much higher and mightier than Asura, Chakravartin still makes the same robotic sounds, the same metallic creaks, whenever he moves. He's no different from the rest of the gods, despite all his posturing
Even better, while the first form appears so uncannily human in flesh and form, but when the true form reveals itself, it is not a cyborg, but a cold machine.
At the end, the true god is even less organic than others which fits why he can't understand why Asura told him no.
Life itself, as a biological and physical phenomenon, is the constant, unnerving and relentless struggle to stay up against the odds and this game exemplifies it so well. That feeling of denying against our own submission, that feeling of tenacity, it's called WRATH. The wrath to live and to prosper.
Man kills countless people because his daughter was crying; ended up making his daughter cry in the process.
Addendum: Man gives up job opportunity of an eternitytime to beat up prospective employer. Daughter still cries about it.

Honestly, this game was ahead of its time.
My favourite touch is the fact that, as you get further into the battle, you see Chakravartin's reaction commands, and him starting to mess them up as Asura beats the everloving shit out of him.
The second phase of the fight is so beautiful and artistic, I can't help but appreciate it.
I loved the moment when he transformed. I was like holy shit, that guy looks like a higher, way more powerful being than Asura. Also, nice MTG name. But Tarkir kinda sucked as a block.

the part that really ties it together is the blank area and the music. Its not some incredibly fast, thunderous boss theme, its a slow, almost eerie one. like you have just pushed him one step too far. everythings gone, he destroyed your form with one finger, this is the end.

Out of every video game, anime, movie, or comic I've ever borne witness too, I don't think any one moment could be more legendary than "O: Extend arm." It's at the very top of all of them in my mind.
There's one scene I can think of, the larger than the universe giga drill from lagann hen. (the second Gurren Lagann movie)

Damn, i amazed how awesome this boss fight is. The level of detail, combat and feels in it is overwhelming. That moment Chaktavartin comes in second stage is awesome. The arrogance is so detailed, his smirk, his sqint of whatever his eyes are substituted with, he literary glows with it.

15:25 this make me realize how high the asura's battle iq is. There are many scenes of counter attacking his opponent's strikes but this is the example here that how asura can read opponent's movements and abilities within a short time and can also think every possibilities during a fight and how to counter and avoid them. I have seen most protagonists got sent flying after the strike gotten by the opponents and strike them again behind their back after sending them flying. I have never seen most of the protagonists able to counter their attacks in this situation
And the fact he was in pure rage whilst in the mitts of the battle and let's not forget the term "blinding rage" and how rage can easily blind someone with there tactics and just go rampage but in asura's case he is indeed still on rampage but he has control where he can fully unleash it and when not to

This game was ahead of its time and still puts most modern games to shame. I own it, and it is perhaps the most beautiful game I've ever seen.
