You have no idea how satisfied I was seeing Puss in Boots 2 in number 1. I slightly prefer Oppenheimer, but this movie is just absolutely brilliant and the best animated movie in recent years.
It proves that DreamWorks is still my favourite animated company of all time and I will support them no matter what. I’m one of those people who actually really liked Ruby Gillman, I somewhat didn’t mind Trolls 3 and I am eagerly looking forward to Kung Fu Panda 4.

Apparently, Godzilla Minus One has a much LOWER budget of $10 million.
One thing is that a main reason of why its budget was low was of Japan’s lack of labor laws. You know how VFX artists are overworked in America. Japan is like… ten times worse. They are lucky to be working with a good, caring studio like Toho, and a good, caring director who also served as VFX supervisor.

As someone who’s been a fan of kaiju movies since the third grade and has always felt like they’ve been underappreciated in the mainstream media, you have no idea how satisfying it is to see a Godzilla movie be as praised as it is.

I can't wait to see this. The Iron Claw is EASILY my favourite film of the year. The last couple scenes of this film, broke me. I loved this film!!
Oppenheimer is not just my favourite film of 2023, it is my favourite film of all time. Christopher Nolan's direction is amazing, Cillian Murphy pulls one of the best acting performances of all time, and Ludwig Goransson's score is beautiful. I went into the cinema expecting a lot, but I left speechless.

Honestly the sound mixing was the only criticism I had of Tenet. Going into it expecting time travel sci fi, I got what I wanted in a pretty fun movie!
Puss in Boots was first movie in a long time that I wanted to rewatch immediately. It's that great of an animated movie!
One thimg I wanna talk about your videos is your sound mizing. It is absolutely glorious. Not alot of youtubers commit to add background music to their videos. You could actually work in Hollywood as a sound mixer or something. 😊

I do 100% agree with you that puss in Boots The last wish is a fantastic DreamWorks movie and let me tell you it's actually a lot better than the original puss in Boots they managed to take a lot of criticism and managed to make it even better the story was a lot more engaging it felt a lot more emotional the villain was a lot more terrifying and it's easily want to DreamWorks is best animated movies probably since the Prince of Egypt.

Godzilla Minus One is my number one.
I've seen it three times in theaters and plan to see it more when the black and white version releases.
For me I found the best movie I viewed in 2023 was Godzilla Minus 1. I didn’t see many movies last year, but I’m so glad it ended on a high note!
If I were to win the lottery of 400 to 500 grand, I would start my own indie film studio. And focus on making quality movies and would utilize small budgets.
It’s funny: shrek was kinda meant to be a jab at Disney, and years later, the Shrek franchise kicked their ass in terms of just about everything! I mean this was probably the worst year for Disney in a long time!

Hey Eric! What’s your thoughts on them making a Final Destination 6: Bloodlines? Do you think it’s necessary or you think it’s just another legacy horror property being milked?
The latter. But let's see what they do. The sequels (mostly) involve different characters anyway so I don't think it will be milking it more than the franchise already has.

Not really. I like the concept. But it's a different director and a different cast.
And I don't like that they're focusing on new characters.
I would have preferred the movie to take place from Cillian Murphy's perspective when he lost his Wife etc.
But doing a new character doesn't really interest me.
But I am definitely curious. Let's see how it does.

It gives justice and stays true to the king of the Monsters! Reminds you how scary, beastly and threatening Godzilla really is … while made me care so much about the humans and their story! Strongly character driven, feels real on its themes of love, honor, bravery, sacrifice and what it means to be a MAN! An impressive feat this movie is ; most impressive! What would you rate all these movies out of 10? Also was kinda hoping you would mention Scream 6, AKA the last movie before the franchise went to shit. Seriously, Hollywood firing people for their opinions is awful.
Scream 6 was trash as well as Scream 5 because they woke and 5 killed off Dewey in a stupid way and Gale was relegated back to basic bitch in 6 despite many movies of character development. And 5 basically rips off the villain Jill’s plan from 4 except tries to make us like the bland new protagonists. Nothing against Melissa and Jenna, and I feel sorry for Melissa, but to be fair Radio Silence also screwed over Neve Campbell, who shouldn’t be bothered to be further milked. I only like Scream 1-4 and don’t consider “5” and “6” canon. I’m glad Scream won’t be milked anymore for more soulless sequels. Let’s let new horror franchises flourish like Terrifier, Thanksgiving, Smile, the X movies, etc

Scream VI is my worst! I disliked 5, but VI was slightly worse! Plus, that forced romance between the brother and Jenna Ortega was outright gross. Large age difference. 🤮 There are only 4 Scream movies as far as I’m concerned. 4 was a fantastic closure to the story for Sidney, Dewey, and Gale. I would’ve preferred anthology films set in the same world but not connected to the Sidney films. Like what that tv series tried to do except done right. I need to check out Thanksgiving at some point because I hear it’s really good.
