A bluefin tuna that size in Japan would bring 20 to 30k. The market that lowballed the kids know better.
They took advantage of the kids. Thats just wrong. If they have any comon decency they would pay at least 1/2 the fishes value to these kids and not some lowball figure like 2k. If that's a prime fish with the correct fat content it will be on someone's Susi plate next week.

Just great guys...must’ve been really fun killing that thing ...why, there’s so few left, you’re gonna maybe be the last ones to bag something like that...wow, how very manly of you. Couldn’t you have just, like, taken a picture and kept that memory. Why, that stupid fish just couldn’t give up, could it?

    Little respect for wildlife.
    No respect for life.
Children killing wildlife should get no support especially from the media.
It isn’t enough that everything in the wild is disappearing ; parents teach their kids that wildlife doesn’t matter, and that it’s better to kill it than leave it alone. Why? Senseless. Our sea life as well as our jungle life is disappearing, and our kids are helping it along. Shameful.
How is that deserving of support?

Hunters and Fishermen are probably the largest contributors to Wildlife Conservation in the Inited States. CCA and Ducks Unlimited were started by sportsmen and are enormous donors in the effort to keep/reestablish habitat and protect species who need it.

They didnt senselessly kill it, it was harvested and sold to market which then will end up on someone's plate at night feeding their family

That screaming girl, the one who should've been punted off the boat immediately is a real (not at all) smart fisherman. It would have been hilarious if it got off one of the 50 times she had a wide open shot with the harpoon and didn't take it!
