there are a lot of more valuable fish. i live in germany and I'm working in fish-industry. The hype in Japan and the price is only very high there. In Germany is the price of bluefin between 30-50 EUR/Kilo. So 32-54$. We sell special fish species up to 200 EUR / Kilo and sometimes a little bit more :-) Edit: But the fact in the movie could be right, because the meat is expensive (and in japan very expensive) and the fish is very big. So a lot of fish -> kilo -> price In Germany we say Petri Heil! It means something like "great catch, congratualtion"

I thought I caught that! I was a bit lazy to go back in the video and thought it was pretty unlikely anyway. Wow was I wrong, how do you look at a gigantic behemoth beast of a fish like that and guess it’s weight right down to the single digit pound??? That’s insanity. Man knows his fish. I imagine that was the equivalent of dropping a sewing pin/needle off a 3 story building onto a dart board on the floor and maybe not a 100% perfect bullseye but at least land it in the red in the dead center middle.
Rightt
Everyone: the fish is amazing, the best fish I’ve ever eaten
Cameron: it’s good
Yeah he said it was spicy right after. Guessing he isn't used to that much wasabi in the sauce or the Cajun seasoning he used on the fish. Slap Yo Mama seasoning isn't for lightweights.
@@coralinealgae ya it isnt for tuna either. Salt pepper soybean oil then a little wasabi and soy sauce to finish.
@@coralinealgae sesame not soybean

Everyone that I have ever fished with off shore gets all bent out of shape when there is a "fish on"..That "Fly" guy is so calm and collective, relaxed and polite along with the rest of the crew. They obviously know what they are doing . I loved this video. Great job to all of you.
Love the fact that he used "Slap ya Momma" (a Cajun seasoning) while in Nova Scotia, the origin land of MY Cajun People!!! Talk about full circle!!

People decide what they like. You can't tell people what they like.
Also a kid has the right to say its opinion! I like fat tuna only with salt.
Kids are like that 😂
Those reactions to the taste at the end....aren't exaggerated! Man that stuff is gooood.
Best meal I've ever had was a Blackfin tuna caught off of the FL keys, cleaned it on the dock, took it to the campfire and cooked it for 5 mins....It'll knock your socks off. So when I saw this, took me right back, thanks Rob. :)

Person: “Blue fin tuna are the most valuable fish on earth.”
*Sturgeon* : hold my caviar..
CluX Fnm this is so wrong. I’m considering going into Wildlife Law Enforcement. I want to protect this threatened species.
PrideTimeB if the law set down by the state government dictates the fish can be harvested than you can do jack shit
PrideTimeB lol
there are a lot of more valuable fish. i live in germany and I'm working in fish-industry. The hype in Japan and the price is only very high there. In Germany is the price of bluefin between 30-50 EUR/Kilo. So 32-54$.
We sell special fish species up to 200 EUR / Kilo and sometimes a little bit more :-)
Edit: But the fact in the movie could be right, because the meat is expensive (and in japan very expensive) and the fish is very big. So a lot of fish -> kilo -> price
In Germany we say Petri Heil!
It means something like "great catch, congratualtion"
You missed an opportunity to say hold my caviar
I love the sincerity these dudes have with each other

I think it’s so funny seeing how they’re a delicacy in Japan and they cut it so carefully and with grace and eat it raw .... and as soon as I see us Americans just chainsaw and hack at it, then put a rub on it and throw it on the grill hahaha

I think that the piece of tuna on this catch is going to be the best tasting thing you have ever made on any video Brother 😁 AWESOME
that dude with the beard should get his own channel - he's a real character
Listen in the beginning when their on the boat. He mentions it.
5:28 is when he mentions his social media

Slap ya momma is pretty spicy, I would literally never put it on tuna though lol.
You can’t beat fresh bluefin tuna!! Without a doubt the best fish I’ve ever eaten!! Had it both grilled and blackened… honestly I was eating some leftovers the next day took it right out the fridge and ate it cold, I personally thought it was better cold…🤷♂️💯

Now that is EPIC. Great documentation of the whole process. Brook and I went Bluefin Fishing out of Cape Cod recently and not many people realize what it actually takes to get a bite, then land the fish properly. Solid teamwork all the way around!!!
Landshark Outdoors exited to see your bluefin video next.
What up Victor you guys definitely need to do a colab.
Landshark Outdoors I’m a tuna fisherman here in Massachusetts and fish the cape a lot . Thank you for acknowledging how hard it is to land a fish like this

So glad to see you released it. The giants aren’t out there anymore because of overfishing. 6-700 lbs is a giant now where 1000-1200 lbs used to be a giant. They need preservation.
