Wrightworth drabbles (objection.lol)

- Happy twentieth anniversary of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for All! Personally, I consider Justice For All to be slightly inferior to the original game, although, to be fair, I'm not sure how informed my opinion is given that I only recently started playing the Phoenix Wright games and I haven't even finished Farewell, My Turnabout yet. I have played enough to really start to adore Wrightworth//Narumitsu shipping though, so yeah, here's a mostly random assortment of stupid vignettes focused on Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth.

The word “gay” have its origins around the 12th century in England, derived from the Old French word ‘gai’, which was probably derived from a Germanic word, though that isn’t completely known yet. The main point, is that the word’s original meaning meant something to the effect of “joyful”, “carefree”, “full of mirth”, or “bright and showy”.
However, in the early parts of the 17th century, the word began to be associated with immorality or bad. By the mid 17th century, according to an Oxford dictionary definition at the time, the meaning of the word had changed to mean *“addicted to pleasures and dissipations. Often euphemistically: Of loose and immoral life”.* This is an extension of one of the original meanings of “carefree”, meaning more or less uninhibited.
Let's make a quick jump to the 19th century and the word gay is use to referred to a woman who was a prostitute and a gay man was someone who slept with a lot of women (ironic, ain't it?), often prostitutes. Also at this time, the phrase “gay it” meant to have sex.
With these new definitions, the original meanings of “carefree”, “joyful”, and “bright and showy” were still around; so the word was not exclusively used to refer to prostitutes or a promiscuous man. Those were just accepted definitions, along with the other meanings of the word.
However, around the 1920s and 1930s, the word started to have a new meaning. In terms of the sexual meaning of the word, a “gay man” no longer just meant a man who had sex with a lot of women, but now started to refer to men who had sex with other men. There was also another word “gey cat” at this time which meant a homosexual boy.
By 1955, the word gay was officially acquired the new definition of meaning homosexual males. Gay men themselves seem to have been behind the driving thrust for this new definition as they felt (and many still do), that “homosexual” is much too clinical, sounding like a disorder (which it doesn't, but they havd the beliefs, i guess). As such, it was common amongst the gay community to refer to one another as “gay” decades before this was a commonly known definition. At this time, homosexual women were referred to as lesbians, not gay (even if it's still correct to use the word gay to reffered to a homosexual male or female). Although women could still be called gay if they were prostitutes as that meaning had not yet 100% disappeared.
And that's how the word gay changed it's meaning so much in the history...hope it help to clarify the topic a bit to anyone who seem confused by little Pearly's thougths
*(wow, this most be the longest comment that i have ever written)*
Claps in applause*
Thank you for researching this. It was really interesting to see how gay evolved from it's original meaning to how it's used today
I would say Copy and Pasted but
Here's one I just made (copy and pasted here but typed somewhere else)
At the battle of Adwa anywhere from 75,000 to 100,000 Ethiopian Troops, fought against anywhere from 15,000 to 20,000 Italian Troops.
The battle began, and after a short bit, one Italiab leader realised it was a loss and ordered a retreat. The Retreat wasn't hear by everyone, so some people were covering the retreat, others were fighting, and some were retreating. Unfortunately the Retreat meant everyone was running into their own lines. The battle was a disaster for Italy, and it shocked most of Europe which changed their cooperation with Ethiopia. This battle would lead to Italy surrendering and giving up their claim to a protectorate over Ethiopia.
" I get to top tonight " i literally love this
you gotta be kidding me
Oh Satan
Well that would suggest edgeworth is an absolute and utter bottom then. And honestly? Makes sense
@@periodically_annoyingFINALLY! I am so tired of seeing him portrayed as a top.
They switch and you know it! Feels Wright. 😤
Forgetting what straight people are is hysterical and also very based
“Of course your honour. How did you and your husband celebrate your last wedding anniversary?”
“If you are on of these mysterious straight people that I’ve heard so much about”
THIS IS ME ON DAILY BASIS BRU 😭
Wait straight people exist?/j
"wright shut up." got me rolling-
"If you're one of those mythical straight people I've heard about" PFFFFFTTT I unironically believe nobody except Larry is straight in all of Ace Attorney including Investigations, Layton, and Great Ace Attorney so this was hilarious

Ah yes, lawyers banter. Gotta be my favorite sexuality fr
objection: phoenix is bi (in my opinion)
but that doesn’t change the fact that this is hilarious and edgeworth is phoenix’s one true love
I kinda agree
Agreed
“Unnecessary feelings” is Edgeworth’s way of saying gay thoughts.
I can just imagine the bet they made being like:
Phoenix: How are we gonna decide who's the top tonight?
Miles: I have a proposition. We shall set a challenge for a particular situation, where the one who prevails is the dominant one for tonight?
Phoenix: ...So a bet to see who's the top?
Miles: That would be the dumb way of saying it, yes.
The idea of Phoenix slowly starting to understand Edgeworth's pompous ass speech after dating him for so long is hilarious.
7:12
*_I get to top tonight_* chose a good thing to bet.
Maya: Is this really the time for this 🙄
Phoenix, distraught and desperate: YES
Glad he and I are on the same page
The fact that gay used to mean happy is something that I don't understand
The middle finger used to be a threat to have sex with people.
"My best friend, around you, I feel gay, and that's a fact I shall not deny"
"Thank you!"

@@reynet5543 that's a really fair point actually
These two are like Yin and yang they fit together perfectly
like yanni and yogi :3
My face hurts from the repeated face palms I've done due to Phoenix and his stupidity.
Tbf I'm pretty sure Wright is bi. He seemed to genuinely like Dahlia 🥲
I agree
Yeah
these are mad funny 💀💀

Fransiska legally cannot be a teen because you have to be at least 21.
(either way i love this video its really funny and dumb)
OBJECTION! In the first game that she appears (jfa) she is stated to be 18. It is also mentioned that she is a prodigy and had her first trial at the age of 12-13, which is confirmed further in Investigations 1. While I agree that she would not be a teen in our world, we have to consider that the Laws of Japanifornia are way different. I rest my case.
