If you live close enough to Portland/ Seattle/ LA/ etc. and have to drive in for that annual meeting, any excuse for being late is a welcome one. However, equal access to resources and services implies that there will be an all-powerful arbiter of said resources and services. This could be described as a 'socialist ideal', but it does not factor in the natural resentment of those who work hard and are justifiably aggrieved to see the fruits of their labour given to those who choose to not work (or in our modern context, welfare tourists and illegal economic migrants), nor does this 'socialist ideal' take into account the flawed nature of those who seek power (as demonstrated by almost every communist regime in history). Allowing foreign nationals refuge is a good honest humane thing to do in the case of their life and family are in danger from the regime they have ran from and is totally justified and welcome. But this isn't the case of most refugees , they simply desire to live in a wealthier country with more opportunity which isn't justified unless the people of that country want or need them and the country and it's people need to have that control.
What we have is millions of people that want a better life and seek it within Europe which is a problem within itself but nothing compared to the lengths they are going to to change those countries and we are stand watching them do it while laughing at us and using our own rules to make us submit to their wishes and demands.

Everyone hand waved punctuality for whatever reason, with a vapid, "Glad you could make it!" Harrowing to see how many people really drank that koolaid. Same with the various trainings and inservices and meetings as a rural music teacher helping coordinate festivals. You run into the strangest situations at the oddest hours in your journies.

However, equal access to resources and services implies that there will be an all-powerful arbiter of said resources and services. Flavia reminds me of people I knew when I was a teenager. They were very much trying to be Humanists and Existentialists and champion human rights. I felt whole heartedly at the time those things were what we should all champion. I am not saying we shouldn't now, but I've become a realist. I vote Liberal but I know that diiasporic identity politics has entered the landscape and White Western Europeans are being eaten up by their own Liberal rights activisms. Incoming diasporas laugh in Western European Faces because they use our white western liberalist human rights activism against us whilst suggesting white westerns can't possibly be victims of racism by them because they are non-white ethnicities. In more than one work place however, I have perished at the hands of ethnic minorities who act as a group to bring white westerns down in the work place. Inviting criticism about white westerns from students with the threat of low grades for not complying.
I cannot for the life of me understand why you would put yourself into the same arena as someone who would absolutely destroy your childlike notions when you have nothing to give. She was hollow and pointless in this show. He was nice and held back regardless of her childlike state.
Not just childlike but entitled smugness to begin with. And by saying she had prepared her speech, when it was full of insults shows how unintelligent and self entitled she feels she is.
Flavia sounds like a lost child. She wants her world to be seen through rose coloured spectacles.
She's just an activist for the sake of activism.... and attention. It's her way of saying "pay attention to me, I'm a woman and I deserve to be looked up to for something."

I've always seen myself as being very much on the left side of politics. I come from a very socialist city. I feel increasingly these videos just prove the left have lost grasp on realism. They argue based on emotion and ideology and it's impossible for that to win in debate against fact which the right and centre tend to be more a fan of.
A battle of wits in which one participant is unarmed.

And no. Debates don't require a speech by all participants. Perhaps she is thinking of high school debating clubs.
Europe went through a long history of forwards and backwards to get to the point it is today. Islam has eroded these common experiences.
