We are so humbled by the response to this video. So many viewers have posted such warm, welcoming, and positive comments. We have received nearly 10K views which is really quite surprising for a channel that we started to keep family up-to-date on our travels. Just a few days ago we were hovering around 275 subscribers and now we have surpassed 500. A BIG thanks to everyone who has viewed this video and especially to those who took the time to comment. ขอบคุณมาก! Steph&Chris
Lisa, thank you for visiting our channel and for the nice compliment. Chiang Mai is definitely worth visiting, as long as you avoid the burning season which we read is Jan-Apr. We visited from the end of Dec through Jan 24 and didn't have any issues with air quality, but it seems that burning may not start until Feb/Mar. Since we are full-time travelers, planning each location can be a struggle since we are constantly researching and arranging accommodations in our next location. Chiang Mai definitely deserves some extra attention since there are so many nearby locations to visit. We missed visiting Chiang Rai but will add to our itinerary the next time we visit. Hope to see you around in the future. Steph@Chris
We wanted to take one of those VIP buses, but we did not plan our trip well enough to do that. Perhaps the next time we visit. Do the locals use Tuk Tuks, or is that just for tourists? Thanks for watching and commenting on our video.
The first sausage is a northern speciality, called Sai Ua - the second one is called Sai Krok Isan (literally Isan sausage) and contains pork and rice or pork and glass noodle depending on the seller, you can get it with sour pork or not-sour pork and it's usual to eat it with white cabbage, ginger, and chillies
Oh! Thank you so much for the helpful information. I think ours had sour pork which was unexpected. We did not expect a sour meat 😂😂. Now that we know, we will have to try it again. It’s always great to learn something new and get a different perspective. Steph@Chris
We did not realize there were so many different dishes, especially all of the northern Thai foods. It’s been a great experience for us. Thanks for watching and commenting. 🙏😊
I visited Chiang mai long long time before. It was 2014. I visited Doi Su thep and beautiful temple on the top of the mountain. Thank you so much for your amazing blog 🙏❤️
Such a wonderful city. Thanks for stopping by and visiting our channel. It's great to hear the comments from viewers. We really appreciate the positive comment. Hope to see you again in the future. Steph&Chris
Thank you so much for the kind words. It’s such a great city. We only saw such a small part during our stay which means we definitely want to return 👏 Thanks for checking out our channel. This is our first time visiting Thailand and it’s absolutely one of our favorite destinations. 😊🙏
I think most people will agree that Thai food is amazing, but we have been very surprised at all the different options and how much we have enjoyed them. We are currently visiting Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, but are heading back to Thailand and can’t wait to taste some of the central and southern dishes. Hope to see you on the channel as we share more of our cultural discovery through food. Thanks for checking out our channel and commenting. It’s really nice to hear from people that watch our videos. Steph@Chris
That's right. It is amazing that there are various kind of Thai food but they are always fantastic. How wonderful!. The southern of Thailand is surrounded by sea. There is a lot of humidity so southern foods always contain abundance of herb and spicy. You have to try. Good luck in your trip.@@388_days
Thanks for stopping by and checking out our channel. Since we travel full time, it's often difficult to thoroughly plan each location we visit. Chiang Mai definitely requires some planning. There is just so much to see both within the city and also outside the city (e.g., Chiang Rai). Three weeks will go by quickly, but you will have a great time and a very memorable trip. Safe Travels, Steph&Chris
I love Chiang mai. I visited the city Everytime I go to Thailand. It has a unique charm to me and to many others. People are nice and kind. Food and housing cost are reasonable. You guys have visited great places. Enjoy your travel!

Of course food is our favorite and Thai food is some of the best in the world!!! Thank you for tuning in to our channel and watching our video. Hopefully we will see you back on the channel as we travel through Bangkok, Surat Thani, and Koh Samui. This is our first time visiting Thailand and we just love how friendly the people are. 😊
Thank you for stopping by our channel and commenting. We loving hearing from viewers. We are in Surat Thani today. We decided to spend a few days visiting the city since all tourists just pass through on their way to Koh Samui. We will post a video in a few weeks. 🙏🙏

😂😂🙏🙏 we weren’t expecting fermented sausage and rice. I think we need to try it again since we now know what to expect. We were expecting a salty tasting pork so it was a bit of a surprise. It’s so fun learning about all these different foods. Thank you for sharing this information and thank you for watching and commenting. We hope you will join us for future videos. We have a lot of Thailand left to see, and we are thinking of returning later this year. Steph&Chris
Hello 👋 - thanks for watching and for the nice comment about our video. We use the DJI Pocket 2. We typically record in 2.7K which seems to be a good balance between 4K and 1080P. The Pocket 2 isn’t great at 4K unless the lighting conditions are perfect. We also record at 60fps so we can get a smooth picture. When we edit, we downscale to 1080 which gives us the best picture quality. We honestly had no idea what we were doing when we started, but we wanted a very small camera and the Pocket 2 has been a good starter camera. If we upgrade in the future, we will stick with DJI. We’ve been pretty happy with the quality. 🙏😊
😂😂😂 it didn’t taste very good, but it also wasn’t very warm which didn’t help. My wife is laughing so hard right now. 😬 Thanks for stopping by to watch our video and leave a comment. 🙏🙏

Thank you for watching and for commenting. We really enjoy Asian food. Perhaps it is because we lived most of our lives in California. Many people in California love Asian food, and we have a lot of very authentic Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese restaurants. The street food is always fun, especially when you don't really know what it is. America is very funny because we don't really have American food. Our food is usually adopted from other countries. Thai food is one of my (Chris) favorites. In fact, before we left, my Dad took my wife and I to one of our favorite Thai restaurants near San Francisco, California. We send him lots of pictures and he always responds that he is wishes he could be with us enjoying the amazing Thai food. We hope to see you in the future. We will be traveling to many other places and trying lots of food. If you have any suggestions, let us know what a good dish is to try. 🐲🧧
