My father is baluba. I have never been to DRC, but I want to visit. Here in Norway baluba is a word for chaos. It annoys me when people use it that way, and noone here knows that it comes from the name of a people.
The Baluba people are originally from the Kasaï provinces. When Baluba had an empire with laws and leadership, those Congolese who think that it’s a chaos to be luba were leaving like animals. The fact of the matter is that the colonialists taught other tribes of Congo especially baswahili to hate Baluba because they were resisting to the them. Lumumba was from Kasai too. So Baluba are the most powerful people culturally and educationally and in terms of talent too. They are hard workers. Hello I really enjoyed it all the way If you don't mind to talk more on our religion, I long to know more about our religion before we were forced into Christianity. Thank you ma'am 🙏 in advance 😊
There is a anti-Kasai/Lubaism in the DRC. I know in Katanga it still exists today. They hate Luba people for their education and economic advantages. There was even an expulsion in the 1990's.
I was reading My Gender is Marronage: A Revisitation, when the author mentioned a quote from and elder named Tobi who would whisper proverbs that the Luba people would say. Then ADHD brain took me down a rabbit hole of what that language would be valued and who the Luba people are as a whole
What people don't understand is : Tshiluba and Kiluba are traditionnaly the same language, because when we say "Tshisonge", it's in nothing different from Kisonge, it's just a particular prononciation of the language's name. Same with Tshisaudi for Kiswahili, Tshinsansa for Kinshasa, etc... But as the white man arrived, he did his best to make future generations (us) think that Tshiluba and Kiluba were separated languages, when actually, this is not the case. People from Kananga/Mbuji-Mayi are not Baluba and think they are because of colonization, go and try to ask a 100yo old person in Kasai if they refer to themselves as a Muluba or if their ancestors did, the answer could be really surprising. The truth has to be said because we cannot build a country in lies. And for people who will come for me, saying I'm promoting tribalism or hate, this is not my goal haha. Our sister did her best to talk about an African civilization, which is in every aspects of it, respectable, unfortunately, and probably independently of her own will, she's carrying on the misleading narrative set in place by the Belgians. I can provide more informations for those who'd be interested in knowing more about it. Peace everyone ! Mwafwa'ko ne kuntanga ! (Thank you all for reading me)
Brother you haven’t said a word. Your thoughts are so vague. I’d just keep quiet if I were you. They speak tshiluba we call them tshiluba speakers or baluba. I strongly believe you’re just promoting tribalism cuz you haven’t backed your myth with any verified info. Mbujinayi/kananga are barely 100 years old.
@@Vey_dd If you understand French, give me your e-mail and I'll send you the book "Les Baluba, Pune histoire revisitee" by Lukanda Lwa Malale I'm living in DRC and I know what I say, people from kasai describe themselves as Baluba, so do some people of Katanga But in Katanga, people from Kasai are not called Baluba, they are called kasai (bakasai in the plural form) and here, they perfectly acknowledge the fact they're not Baluba Try to ask someone who just came from Kasai "udi muluba ?" The answer is most of the time the same : "Meme ncyena muluba to, ndi mwena kasai, mukwa..." The only people from Kasai that think are Baluba are the ones who went to school, but we all know the education system wasn't designed by the natives for their benefit, it was designed by the colonizers to serve their interests That's kinda weird that both are said Baluba, yet have not the same language, the same ancestors, the same stories, the same political system, the same principles, etc... I could elaborate on this for hours, since I know what I say and can back it up with real proofs, that can be verified IRL

This is an informative video. I am studying Africa History right now . My study show me that Africa 54 nations are still practicing a form of tribalism . In all 54 African Nations to few people are making the decisions for the Nations . By detribalizing the Nation Africa could come up with the solution to their problems by treating all African people equal no matter what tribe they come from. That just my point of view. Would you do I video on the Kingdom of Kuba ? The Kingdom of Kuba was in the western Kongo northern Angola area. Thank you
Yes, tribalism is still very much alive. Getting rid of it is definitely one of our focus areas and we’re making some progress slowly. Yes, I will be talking about the Kingdom of Kuba too! Thanks for the feedback 🙌🏾😊
Hi, good evening ma How can I get in touch with you privately, I need your help to get through with my project, I need to get an interview with a congolese especially a native of luba
I need to watch it again because there were some bits I missed. Also. I am very interested in anything you can tell me about the area around Isiro. And why it is that Mobuto, when he was alive seemed to be chartering Concorde to go shopping in Europe is so popular now. Not that I' disagree with Kapernick about taking the knee but I've heard him praised by the Congolese yet if a Congolese Kapernick had done that in Mobuto's time, during La Zaireoise, the late President would have fed the man his own knee caps. I don't mean to bombard you with messages but I feel like I have found the Motherlode of information on the DRC and 11 years of questions are clamouring for answers.
Our colonial government abolished the existence of the people called baluba who where at the kafue hook to pave way for the kafue national park. But we will demand for their reinstall back to their home soon.

In the sport they have the best too even world champion in some sport ILUNGA Makabu, DIKEMBE, Pierre NDAYE, so there’s absolutely no reason to use the word Baluba or Luba as a chaos. You should be proud to MuLuba

Would you happen to know which clan or historical occurrences the province of Maniema had to play in the luba empire? Great video btw and you can dance please dont listen to them haters🥲
Luba have never been enslaved in their History.

You are very blessed. I have heard you speak Luba, Kikongo, Lingala, English & French👍

Talk about the basanga as well in the upcoming videos

I really enjoyed it all the way
If you don't mind to talk more on our religion, I long to know more about our religion before we were forced into Christianity.
Thank you ma'am 🙏 in advance 😊
Noted! Thank you for the suggestion.
Same.I want to know too
There is a anti-Kasai/Lubaism in the DRC. I know in Katanga it still exists today. They hate Luba people for their education and economic advantages. There was even an expulsion in the 1990's.
The fact the Luba history is based from Katanga
Hi there. Glad i came into these videos. Do you know any History about the King Alfonso.Thank You.
It’s something worth looking into! You want to share some ideas?

Real Luba are in Katanga.
There is no Luba History in Kasai.
Thank you for sharing this info sis! Do you mind recommending some books about this topic so I can do further research ?
There are a lot of mistakes.
@@Vey_dd If you understand French, give me your e-mail and I'll send you the book "Les Baluba, Pune histoire revisitee" by Lukanda Lwa Malale
I'm living in DRC and I know what I say, people from kasai describe themselves as Baluba, so do some people of Katanga
But in Katanga, people from Kasai are not called Baluba, they are called kasai (bakasai in the plural form) and here, they perfectly acknowledge the fact they're not Baluba
Try to ask someone who just came from Kasai "udi muluba ?"
The answer is most of the time the same : "Meme ncyena muluba to, ndi mwena kasai, mukwa..."
The only people from Kasai that think are Baluba are the ones who went to school, but we all know the education system wasn't designed by the natives for their benefit, it was designed by the colonizers to serve their interests
That's kinda weird that both are said Baluba, yet have not the same language, the same ancestors, the same stories, the same political system, the same principles, etc...
I could elaborate on this for hours, since I know what I say and can back it up with real proofs, that can be verified IRL
I would like to read that book you've just mentionned brother

To moni loketo ,
This is an informative video.
Betwabu is there a way to connect with you? I'm learning more and discovering that I am baluba or muluba. Still learning the dialect sorry

Hi, good evening ma
How can I get in touch with you privately, I need your help to get through with my project, I need to get an interview with a congolese especially a native of luba
Hi! Please get in touch on congotalksteam@gmail.com
I hope you get my email soon, thank you ma
Hi, Can I know the title of the intro song that you played?
Maweja :)
Would a visitor notice any significant difference between Kinshasa & Brazzaville especially on language, food & dance???
Our colonial government abolished the existence of the people called baluba who where at the kafue hook to pave way for the kafue national park. But we will demand for their reinstall back to their home soon.
