    I'm sorry to hear about your melanoma, my brother has stage 3 and worry about him all the time. It's been 6 years now and so far so good. Your family members also need to be checked for skin cancer because were at higher risk. Best of wishes to you.

    Bob Marley had skin cancer on his toe...he was told to have his toe removed he refused. So he was told he had Melonoma he didn't follow through. He died while walking in the streets 3 years later. The cancer spread to his brain. But you are saving lives making this video. Probably the most important video you ever made

    Love the courage it took to do this video! I've got my recheck coming up, they called with the referral info today. I'm a single mom and it is a constant fear to find more (or not find them until it's too late), have procedures, heal, etc. I'm like you, sunscreen just wasn't applied in the 70s, 80s,90s as much if at all. I went to tanning beds after living in Florida until my dads diagnosis in 2006. Then we found out more of the family history. It is serious and lethal. I just love the information in this video and it's intention. Xoxo💋

    Hi Anne, I too have melanoma, but I have stage 4, now in remission, but not yet clear. I was glad to find your story. I've been thinking about doing my own UA-cam video. Your story has inspired me go forward with this. This is my second round of Melanoma. 1st in 1976 and second in 2016. Hope you are well and no further Melanoma.

    Thank you for sharing your story. I had a nephew that passed from metastatic melanoma. He was 33 years old, they examined every part of his body and couldn't find where it entered. It went straight to his liver and kidneys. He was fine for about 3 months, then it was in his brain. He slipped into a coma on November 11th 2018 and passed later that night. He is missed terribly 💔💔💔!

    Thank you for sharing. I'm also from NJ., but now I live in Phoenix AZ.
    I loved going down the shore in my youth. Then I move to Phoenix, and the bright sun is everywhere. I also have olive shin color. Recently went to dermatologist per my pcp. And I have moles and freckles everywhere. The checked me all over. And found one that didn't look right. They did a biopsy. They called and said they couldn't say it was melanoma. But said I have to have surgery to cut more out. So, I'm confused.

    I was diagnosed with nodule melanoma in November, sent for a pet scan and they found I also have lung cancer, they did surgery last week, from area of spine to over the shoulder, they took out lymph glands from my armpit....don’t know if I am stage 3 or stage 4.....if the lung biopsy comes back as melanoma of the lung or it is a different type of lung cancer....they haven’t done the ct guided lung biopsy yet, I was on the schedule twice already but the day before that lung biopsy they called and said they have no doctor to do it, so now I am scheduled for New Year’s Eve.....if they dare to call me and cancel again I will go beat the life of someone there....this is my life and by them playing the cancel game is putting a death sentence....I have only lost it twice, both the times they called to cancel....I cried so hard the first time, then I went into sobbing and then into a full panic attack...I could not breathe, it sounded like I was a honking car....scared my poor dog with the sounds I was making....I am glad my husband was home.....it took him to keep saying try to breath slowly, put my feet and hands and lips were all tingling...the second time they called to cancel....I was screaming at the woman....my husband said I scared the poor woman.....put this is my life they are putting in danger.

    Didn’t know that about Bob Marley!

  • @theopulentone1650
    @theopulentone1650 4 роки тому

    Bob Marley had ALM, a rare type of skin cancer that forms on areas not exposed to the sun, like the palms of hands and the bottom of feet. Not all skin cancer is caused by the sun. The majority that dark skin people's skin cancer is genetic or from other causes. Most darks skin ppl are vitamin D deficient, and that's what causes it, we don't burn in the sun that's what melanin is for. With skin cancer only accounts for 1% percent in darks skin people, it is not caused by the sun, if anything we need more sun to fend off autoimmune diseases. The sun is not out enemy, we were made to live under it.
