46:07 According to the B3313 wiki, the silver coins have about a 25% chance to crash the game. Actually, I found a silver coin in Blargg’s Lava Realm. It did _not_ crash nor caused anything special to happen. *EDIT:* Before you ask, yes, it did make that weird sound upon collecting.

if you are still confused about why collecting a star sometimes spits you out a painting and sometimes warps you to the dark upstairs area, i can explain. when you enter a level through a painting (for example the ones in the lobby you get to when you fast travel) you will be put out there when you die/collect a star. if you enter a level through something other than a painting (for example the boo infested peach's secret slide) you will be put into the crimson foggy area when you die, and into the dark upstairs area when you collect a star. that means entering a level through a painting will spit you out there and through anything but a painting it will put you to the other 2 areas mentioned. dying in the castle will also (most of the times atleast) put you in the crimson area.
The normal and crimson lobby's are actually connected through the room with three peach paintings (where the slide mini game normally is, but the middle painting)
I love how he got jumpscared by BOTH Amalgam encounters. And by all accounts it's not that bad of a jumpscare, something I think is one of the greatest strengths of B3313's horror aspect.

The 8 coin level at the 6 minute mark is actually in the DS game as a multiplayer map AND an actual red coin level, good to see the devs putting newer stuff into older versions :)
6:38: I absolutely love the theme playing in this stage (The soundtrack is called Dire Dire Loss, and the stage is called Wiggler's Forest Fortress if you're wondering).
Yeah, red stars are one of the ways the game tracks meta progression to alter the system according to the user's accomplishments. Couldn't tell you what exactly changes, all copies are personalized after all.
Dave's playthrough of this game has made these last three weekends really enjoyable along with the inescapable ooze of paranoia and existential dread. 11/10 crazy experience, hope you keep going with it without losing any more sanity, Dave!
Wholesome and relatable! Yeah, I know, the yellow bob-ombs can scare me, or just an enemy that is actually an npc. A Goomba told me to "get lost" and it made me feel bad. On the other hand, there is a level that is a town full of npcs that look like enemies but they are super friendly. I was pleased to find out that I didn't have to drown them with the water level crystals. I had to break the crystals to save them.
Honestly I hope this series stays running, I love watching DGR get confused on whether he’s been in a spot, as well as the sparse unexpected jumpscares.
This hack is absolutely incredible. Wild moments, jumpscare moments, creepy moments, liminal moments, surprises all over the place. I have put another 10 hours into this (90 hours total now) and I keep finding new things, even after hitting the mysterious yellow switch (which I don't advise if you don't want your game becoming entirely unpredictable and 3x as hard). There is so much you've yet to find in this game. Even areas that repeat over and over again eventually have an other side. To just throw in the towel because one thing made you feel a certain way is just weird to do. I can understand a break, but to full on stop? Keep going! If you want the path to the final Bowser, I'll give you one hint.....the right side door on the outside of the castle. Good luck :) Also, the Core is the place where final Bowser is. It's called the Internal Plexus. Yes, this hack has some lore to it. The more stars you get, the crazier the game gets. If you save state in one area and get so many stars or experiences, then reload your save state, you're resetting that progress. You're missing out on a LOT, as the game literally tracks everything you do. No joke. Also, there's a red star door that let's you into the core. That is what the red stars are for. However, there IS a path that can skip that altogether.
