    Always love a fork service/upgrade video. Air spring and damper upgrades are super easy with the right tools. And yeah, compared to a new fork this is an affordable upgrade.

    Great video. Rockshox recommend you grease liberally above the air-spring, as that's where the piston does all the work - also, on the air-spring side again, you should drop in 3mls of 0-30w, on top of the piston, so where the tokens are; the oil will keep the piston/seals lubed. I hope this helps for next time.

      @@RydenDirty No problem, thanks for the video for starters and I forgot also something else
      Maybe you know it but it is better to embed this in your video.
      ua-cam.com/video/V6NUwNKH0ao/v-deo.html Before sliding in the red cylinder, you need to put 1ml of oil in there.
      and before closing this piston from the top, you need to add another 3ml on the upper part. Lower leg you got it for sure 10 ml.
      Just yesterday I did my upgrade on a lyrik both charger and piston.
      Hope this helps you and your audience too.

    Cool video.
    Just one correction - that's not a high speed compression adjuster. Twisting the large knob adjusts both high speed and low speed compression simultaneously.

    • @RydenDirty
      @RydenDirty  3 роки тому +1

      🤔Then what's the small knob that says lSC?

    • @davidsilvas9441
      @davidsilvas9441 3 роки тому +1

      You are actually both correct...The large knob firms up the dampening both HSC/LSC. However, when the large knob is in open position, the LSC dial adjusts the LSC. This design was for bike where you wanted a pedal platform for a long climb, but then flick it open for descending. The middle setting is for the up and down sections.

    • @noah1239
      @noah1239 2 роки тому

      The outer one is weather a high speed nor a low speed compression. It's a lock out. The inner one is a low speed compression. So while the inner one is for the slow compression the outer one is a pedal plattform for more efficient pedaling.

    • @lux-3001
      @lux-3001 2 роки тому +1

      @@noah1239 The Charger 2.1 RCT3 does not have any lockout. It has an internally preadjusted HSC and two dials to adjust the LSC, the smaller one being an adjustment knob for small increments in LSC when the big dial is in the open position and the bigger one has two additional preadjusted stages of LSC - threshold for quick pedaling platform options. (the T3 part of the RCT3 designation; Rebound, Compression, 3xThreshold)
      The Charger 2.1 RC2 has Rebound, HSC and LSC.

    Thanks for a great instructional video @RydenDirty! I have a question you could maybe help with:
    I have a Yari Charger RC I was gonna do the 200 h service to. Now I'm considering upgrading both the damper and air spring - if I go ahead with the upgrade, do I still need to buy the 200 hour service kit for the procedure or am I fine with the Dust Wiper Upgrade Kit? In other words, what seals and o-rings and stuff do I need for the procedure since I'm upgrading AND servicing the fork?
    Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I mean, does it go in where the screws thread into the air spring (at the bottom, so push the lower on all the way) or in-between the lower and where the screw threads into the air spring (so make some space and add the oil)? Thanks again. Great video, I learned a lot.
