Didn't realize until taking the goggles off that the drone never really dove. All in all it's a great feature to add to B-Roll footage.

no.. this is a descend.. you can only make a dive in manual mode..
Yes I agree, but you can "kind of" simulate one with the motion controller there is no other way than that.
If you hold down on the baby stick on the Motion 3 your decent will be smoother.
Yea I tired with the controler all I did was descend. In all 3 modes. I didnt take the spring off the joystick yet

That's called a descend bro. The motion controller won't let you do a dive. It's great for cinematic type of views or using it for situations where you need stability and slow movement. You must get the DJI controllers to fly in manual mode like the pros do... Then you will be able to perform dives and anything else that comes to your noggin. Go by that manual controller and create another video showing us how to properly dive with the Avata 2. peace!

With standard controller in manual mode you can do proper dive

That’s not a dive. lol looking down don’t mean you are doing down at high speed. You are descending while looking down. Dive is when the whole drone is at -120 angle. lol

Why does it lose battery power the further you get away?
probably from trying to keep that signal at a strong MPS the further ya go. It's not really a long distance drone.
Funny how the battery compensates and tops off the balance and it increases as you move closer back to the home point.
If you change the frequency and channel you will get more distance though with FCC hack. For me it's Channel 3
Wish it flew further though. It can but someone would have to be on the other end to retrieve it.

Get a rc3 and learn manual. And you will know what's a real dive.

I wanted to ask you a question. I have a DJI Avata 2, and I’m filming with this configuration:
• Stabilization deactivated (RockSteady and HorizonSteady turned off)
• Wide Angle
Other than that, I always film in Normal or Sport Mode. Brightness, ISO, and all those characteristics I leave on automatic.
But when I import the video into Gyroflow, it always tells me that it can’t find the “Lens Profile.”
(This happens to me both in the app and on the MacBook. I have already updated the Gyroflow app on both, but it still does the same thing. What can I do?)
Great question.. I actually let the drone do everything for me so when it comes to editing all that has to be done is the splicing of the video, Captain drone or Kendobo might have an answer to that.. But the latest apple updated has made a lot of features crash when it comes to video editing software...

Do you push the joystick on the controller down or just using the accelerator? Maybe you said but couldn’t catch

Hi. On the Motion Controller 3 you can use the baby stick and use that to rise and fall without holding the small stick hard up and this can let you look 👀 down as you rise or up as you fall. The baby stick also does a nice angle left or right.
The Motion Controller 3 is a nice controller. I don’t use the flips option and so when Easy Acro is off by default you can still use the baby stick to do your rise and fall and your bank left or right.

Thanks for sharing. When doing a hand catch landing, how do you turn off the motors when you flipped it upside down? Did you press anything on the motion controller or did you just flip it and it turned off?
Avata 2 kills motors when she gets tilted too far in Normal and Sport mode. All you do is grab the top and tilt over and it'll stop motors
Did exactly what yunghysterik mentions but you ask a very good question - great idea for next video.. Apparently you can tun the power off but not highly recommended.. Will show you tomorrow..
don’t do this often, only when you need to. It force brakes the motor and puts unnecessary wear. Should only do this if you don’t have a safe place to land.

Can you zoom with the avata 2 while video recording?
Haven't tried but you can in post by zooming in on your video..
How do you get the overlaid data on to the video? I see it in the goggles but not when i playback the footage?
If you watch this - it is in the camera settings. there is a time line in the description. Just go to camera. Hope this helps.. Let us know how it goes..

OMG!!! The Avata 2 goes soooo fast! I stimate 35 mph or more, even 36 mph. It’s the fastest drone ever! 😂
U will never dive with an motion controller 😂 full acro is the way to go to dive. Buy the FPV COBTROLLER 3. And learn manual
Dont you need a Visual observer, while flying under FPV?
Legally and technically yes, but most people can't always have someone with them looking at the drone. Also, the drone has to be in your line of sight but most people don't do that either so yeah.
No thats what the camera and goggles are for
@@RunItBackGunz Wrong. It's not a rule people follow anyway, but it literally says in the TRUST test "If you are flying FPV with goggles or looking at a screen, a bystander needs to keep the drone in LoS"
