I learned so much from you---wish I could say the same for my finished product, which shows what happens when I get nervous and put too much weight onto my pencils---I burnished several sections. And it is a travesty what I did to the final shadows with the people and the dogs and the trees. Looks more like a big gray 'blob'!! LOL! But I now know WHAT to do--and that's the most important thing. And I have fun attempting it. (My colors in some areas seemed to 'fade'--sink into the paper. Is that from 'burnishing' when I shouldn't?? Or is it the quality of the paper from handling it too much?) Thanks again and see you next time!❤Lynn

Thank you so much I am so happy that I am helping ❤❤😊😊 Yes if you blend to soon you will find there isn't enough pigment on the page and it wont cover evenly try to add a few more layers then you think you need then blend it should even it out. with the page you are working on try to use a eraser lightly to lift the blender off a bit and add more colour dont erase heavily your not removing colour just the blender if the tooth of the page isnt to damaged you should be able to add more colour ...... or just deem that area to be a highlight 😉😉🥰🥰

@@MyColouringCornerwithRene What a good idea--using more layers before I press down. I'm afraid I did the 'burnishing' with my own fingers--not an Alcohol Marker! LOL! I never got that far! I think I KILLED that page!! Thanks a million, and I'll remember your tip for the next page! ❤ PS I'm now coloring a page with Ohahu's Alcohol Markers (the first time using them) in a book that features an illustration with what I perceive to be a grayish-white ("Washington DC-type) colored stone building). So, applying your shading techniques, I chose a light gray with a red tinge to 'shadow' the outlines of the building and an even lighter gray with red tinges for the inner bits. And the result is remarkable--your technique works so well!! Thanks!
