However due to illness the first of this year I’m having to start all over and learn everything again. I had the 80 tribute box sets but when I swatched those out, I hadn't noticed how soft and creamy they were until getting the larger set. I would love the 300 set but it's just very expensive and I'm not as comfortable with the sites that sell it. I also read that with that big set, they charge a lot for shipping because it's so heavy. But I do like these and am thankful you did a review.

I recently purchased Marco Renoir 120 set in June and have been looking at the Tributes. I need to know how they compare to Marco Renoir , also are they closer to polychromos or prisma. I prefer harder pencils like Polychromos and even love Crayola 🤣 thanks. A comparison video with other brands would be helpful I think to everyone. I also have the Brutfuner black barrel 180 and Castle Art Golds I am curious also of comparison, but mostly the Marco Renoirs. Thanks Why didn't you just reprint your swatch sheet, I am so confused. and you did not explain difference. It looked as soon as you started that the paper was slick/smooth but I had to remind myself I would not see texture on video. Then you started to.mention your printing issues which I only followed up to the actual printing and what went wrong, and wondered why did you not just do it correctly a second time? And what difference does it make for the swatching? how did it affect the swatching?

The more “public and accessible” a person is, the more increase in “criticism “ will occur. You and those who follow you are all that matters. I don’t want to be “liked” by everyone because that includes negative, mean and stupid people. Don’t need them in my life. You provide so much for those who want to learn or share their love of coloring.

Rene, when I started coloring I was desperate for series such as this with pencils that I had when everyone had Prismas or Polys & I didn't. I found great ColorTubers that colored exquisitely but many didn't provide the guidance (why this shadow or that color, how to correct, etc.) so while I learned I didn't really get an education that helped establish a good foundation. It wasn't until I took classes that I was able to go back to those "advanced" ColorTubers and understand more. I had to pay for a lot of what you are giving away for free so I thank you as should many others. The tendency to hide behind a keyboard and attack behind a mask reflects not on you but on the people who do it. They are lacking in moral conviction or they'd contact you directly. They are insecure about themselves and lash out to make themselves feel better. Do not let them get to you as I know many of us that follow you are beyond appreciative. On behalf of the old me, the one that didn't color since elementary school & literally had no clue and all other colorists who fit that description I thank you also. ❤❤❤

I have the same problem with smelly pencils and headaches. I bought the Brutfuner Black Rounds on prime day, and man do they smell. And the Harmonious pencils! Thankfully that smell dissipated quickly. What is going on with all the pencil smells?!

Omg I had such a good time watching this video! I love the offensive pencils! Maybe, if enough people are interested, you could do a "Rene After Dark" stream?! Where you review and color a small picture with them? Also, I actually laughed out loud when you said you made a purchase for fish food! Lol My mistake was browsing the Temu app on my phone while laying in bed. After I'd had one of those bedtime gummies that are legal in Canada. Well, turns out they were too strong for me! When I would go to the post office there'd be packages that one, I had no idea what was in them! And two, I didn't even remember I'd ordered them! But I knew it was me because it was art supplies! Annd that's the story of how even though I'm fairly new to coloring, I have over 1500 pencils already! Lmaooo 💕 💕 💕 PS. I did take advantage of Prime day and have my very first Caran D'ache set of 40 Luminance pencils coming! Shh🤫 😂😂😂
