This video is super useful. Thanks so much. Working on a couple 94 GTXs and I am a newb when it comes to these fuel and baffle systems.

great video series! i have the same ski now dealing with fuel issues i belive changed all fuel lines! waiting for new selector switch because when i try to pull fuel from on position i couldnt suck anything through but worked fine on reserve!! hoping that fixes the issue if not i guess ill need to rebuild the carbs! osd wants like 149 us for rebuild kit and i can find some on ebay for like 40 canadian would like to use oem but thats a huge price difference, whats your opinion on the aftermarket kits?

Great question… This is from my experience with multiple jet skis and no matter what the part is, you want to buy the highest quality one you can. I don’t care if it is oil lines or carb kits they all matter and you could be surprised how much a small difference can make. When I go through a ski now I replace the entire fuel system. I clean the tank, replace all fuel lines and use the factory style single ear clamps, replace the fuel selector switch, and clean and rebuilt the carbs with the Back To Oem kits from OSD. The aftermarket carburetor kits are horrible and shouldn’t even be allowed to be sold. Every once in a while it will work okay but it will never run as good as it would with the correct carb kit. As a rule of thumb even when using the oem kits you should re use your old spring inside the carb as well as the lever that rides on it. This is my advice and it is the only advice, either take it or learn the hard way like I did 😂 in all honestly $200 ish for a brand new fuel system is not that much when it comes to the life and health of your engine. Also note if you don’t have the check valve tool for the carbs, you can buy the fuel pump body pre assembled in the BTO kits from OSD

@@powrider911 no worries man! Make sure you can blow through all those jets. Simple spray carb cleaner isn’t good enough for these because of the small passages. I highly suggest a gallon of Chem Dip from an auto parts store I believe it’s $20-30 and it well worth it. I personally use an ultrasonic cleaner now but those are expensive and the chem dip works good

@@jetskirehab750 do u still take apart the carbs when using chem dip or can u throw them in whole and it still cleans jets?
