Loved the video! I got a regale chonk last winter and started it in sphagnum at room temperature. It began to shoot three months later and I moved it to a self watering pot and leca The first leaf emerged a month after that and it was a little wonky and misshapen and it had a couple of holes in it. Still, I hadn't killed it and I could see the potential. A couple of months later the second leaf appeared and it was absolutely gorgeous! It was as big as my head and the neon green of the veining looks like it is actually glowing. Leaf three is now well on its way and the other two are still hanging on. I keep the pot reservoir filled with quarter strength box store orchid fertilizer and mist the top of the leca each morning. That's it. No special humidity or lighting. I typically grow orchids so "slow growth" is completely relative and this plant seems to like my minimal fuss attitude. I think it is worth growing and may be one of the most beautiful non flowering plants I have ever seen. (Plus the chonk wasn't that expensive so no wallet stress either ;)
Awww glad you enjoyed and thanks for sharing the chonk story I might try your chonk method the next time I try to grow one from chonk for sure. Yes completely relative to each person is the "slow growing" 😊💚🌿
Hi ! For the orchid fertilizer did you use the slow realese or a liquid I recently received a chonk for my soon to be birthday and want to prepare before it starts to grow.
Your Regale is goals!! I got mine in the winter and it came to be with a crunchy leaf as the seller said it was burned from being to close to a heater so it was a great price. I was gonna use it in a trade as the lady I was trading with wanted a regale. I managed to grow a beautiful leaf and than she told me that she bought one so I was quite excited to keep it as I had fell in love with it. Than it rotted 💀 I popped it into some moss and it grew some beautiful roots! I potted it into pon about a month or two ago and it recently gave me another beautiful leaf that just finished hardening off and man is it gorgeous 👌 One of the favorites in my jungle for sure 💚 Thanks for reviewing your regale, it was an excellent review!
Got my Regale in a chunky anthurium mix (plantsmeow) lots of light, good air flow, water with rain water, drop of feed every now and then, 60% humidity ish and has been happy. Not had any issues other than a little yellowing at the very tip, but I took that has transportation shock and acclimatisation to my environment. Maybe I am just lucky 😅 Your Regale is gorgeous 😍.
I have a huge chonk (4x10cm?)! It took ten months to pop a baby regale! I placed it on top of a damp aroid mix, placed it in a ziploc and kept it under a grow light. I now have moved it into a cabinet and it has yet to give me another leaf, but the roots are huge! I enjoy your content :)
My anthurium currently has three quiet large leaves, they do tend to love humidity a bit more than most of my other anthuriums. I do agree, she has grown relaively slow, however she likes to be turned evenly as she will begin dropping leaves if more than two are set to grow on the same side. I'm not sure why, but this is what I've found with mine....
You’re bad influence, I bought a Regale after your review 😅💚 Anthurium are my fav and mines are thriving. I’m ready for that picky, but so beautiful one 🙃 Great video as always. Merci Memo
i have a little seedling i saw , it is still itsibisi litle cute and when anthurium are baby they look like al the same , so label them so you know well wish one grows well ,wish don't , because the seeds can be expensive by different species you chosen , and in baby stage they definitely seed Beter conditions , but on the way they grow you need to acclimate them to there new environment , i have buy 4 seeds , Magnificum , Regale , luxurian and vetchii , and as seedling , i can say ,Luxurianand magnificum looks the better and same as it is to grow speed , vetchi come to the 3 place and the worst is the Regale , it is so slow and seems even not keep al there leaves as it grows like one leave after one dying , and when i see yours older plant whit her big bulbi stem with her one or few leave , it makes sens , you got it right Bro , i am agree with your comment , you good Bro , you are like me , crazy in love of vegetally world 😁😁✌✌thanks for your share , very nice , love your videos , and i know why for 👌👌👍👍greets , my English is not the best , sorry for that , i am Dutch , but at least i trying to do my best to be understandable
Beautiful plant I have one with 2 leaves the size of you smallest leaf. I was thinking about getting rid of it but I have no idea how to price it. I'm in NY and I don't come across it often I purchased mine from ecuagenera.
Awww thanks, but trust me a lot of babying has been had with mine, sorry to hear about yours, but your comment does beg the question should I try the Queen now 😅🤔😂
Mine has just pushed out it’s only leaf after loosing its last and the new one has gone completely mutant and broken it’s self as it’s been opening, my temperature is 64-75 (winter time) with 95-99% humidity, it’s never had a pest problem as far as I know, I have no clue whether I’m going to lose it or not 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ it’s my current nightmare plant 😤. Yours looks how I want mine to be ☹️

It’s a gorgeous Anthurium 😍 Not one I’ve wanted to try because of the size, but very beautiful 💚

WOW! She is a stunner 😍

I recently order one, it had 5 leaves. When I got it, and they lasted a while, I did lose 2 them while it acclimated
Yeah it does take a beat to acclimate, but hopefully it will do soon and you will get more leaves being pushed out 😊💚🌿
Hi and thanks for this video. One question left for me: how much light (lux) does it get to grow such big leaves? Thanks

Ahhhh, not sure as I mentioned here in the uk, it hasn't fluctuated too much in price, so maybe have a look at what they are going for currently 😊
I killed mine 😂😂😂 this is worst than the queen in my option way more difficult !! Yours is total goal !!💚
Awww thanks, but trust me a lot of babying has been had with mine, sorry to hear about yours, but your comment does beg the question should I try the Queen now 😅🤔😂
Omg yes!!!! Trust me it’s 100 times easier and grows way faster and that’s in my regular home humidity, so imagine in your conservatory 😬
Thank you for sharing,I love so much anthu regale, watching from Balagtas, Bulacan, Phil's, 9-18-22la
