I just found this on Ecuagenera CA (I was looking for the Philo) and I've never been so glad they were sold out of a plant! No Philo esmeraldense, but the Anthurium! After your review, it's a definite purchase! Thanks so much, Memo. You cover all the things with knowledge, insight, experience, and humor. 💚
I have been waiting for this video! I just bought a very young one about a month ago and it is so far very easy going. It is so nice to have a forum to talk about plants like this because it is truly difficult to find good information on the care of rare plants like this one. Yours is definitely the most beautiful one I have seen. It has such pronounced ruffles and deeply set lobes. It must be absorbing some of the beauty from its neighboring esmeraldense.
Thank you for your sweet words! 🌸 It's such a joy sharing information on these rare beauties. I'm thrilled to hear your young one is doing well! They are such fascinating plants, aren't they? 💚🍃
I bought a Philodendron Esmeraldense (Narrow) after seeing yours. She’s a new import and in my tent. After seeing this, I’d love this Anthurium but that petiole length is a dealbreaker. I just don’t have room at the moment. But, she’s beautiful and when I have a spot for her she’ll come into my life.
Oh, that's so cool to hear about your Philodendron Esmeraldense! 🤩 Space can indeed be a challenge, but who knows? Maybe a spot will open up in the future. Thanks for the love and support! 💚🌿
Just went to check on mine. I managed to neglect it heavily and last week I saw that it had fallen over at some point. It looks horrible, tbh. But my recent cull of plants I no longer love has freed up some mental space and hopefully it’ll bounce back. Side note: I can find either of my P Esmeraldense. They might have perished. But that was exactly why I decided to downsize from 700+ to now about 500: I not only not have the time, I don’t have the SPACE needed for these big beauties. So next growing season should be better than this year.
Oh Tanya! 😅 It happens to the best of us. You are doing what I did a few months back, a cull is always good for the soul I find 😅 💚🌱 And if those P Esmeraldense are gone, maybe it's a sign to find an even more fantastic plant to fill that void! 😉
Hi, Memo. Just a quick note: those are available here in the States for $35 (Ecaugenera). The Philodendron esmeraldense is only $5 more, if that's what people fancy. Perhaps your influence is greater than you've imagined? Cheers
Hey Dave! 🌟 Wow, that's interesting to know about the prices. Thanks for sharing! And if I have any influence, it's all thanks to awesome subscribers like you. Cheers! 🥂🍃
Sounds like a very cool anthurium and it´s very pretty too 🙂Definitely one I´d be interested in (if I still had some space where to put it 😀) - it lives up to the title of this video 🙂They do make a nice combo with the P. esmeraldense 🙂 I have seen it only from Ecuagenera so far.
Thanks so much! 💖 They really do complement each other perfectly, right? Ecuagenera is where I got mine from, here in the UK there are a few sellers that have it, is it not the same where you are? Hope you find the perfect space for one soon! 😄🍃
I *almost* bought this plant yesterday, but I really knew nothing about it! So this video came at the perfect time!!! I live in Wisconsin, USA and a local garden center had them on clearance for $24 usd. Is that a steal? They were rehab plants and the leaves were maybe 3-4 inches long. In a 3 inch pot. Do I need to go back tomorrow and grab it? LOL
I just got a seedling from a great greenhouse I found on Etsy in Columbus OH. Of the four seedlings I got in that order. it is the least easily offended and seems to do well in my midwestern home in room air at 60-75 percent humidity. If those plants are healthy enough to rehab, that seems like a good price.
Wow, $24 for that Anthurium? That does sound like a great deal, especially if they're rehab plants! If you feel drawn to it, might be worth a trip back! 😜🌱 And I'm glad the video was timely for you!
Hi! U really got me interested in getting plants from ecuagenera. As a uk resident, do i need to get any sort of import permit? Peach number etc? Or will they take care of everything? I saw on their website that they take care of all paper works. Thank you for all the good guidance you give us through your videos! Hope that you will answer my question. Thank you again 😊
Hey there! 😊 Yes, Ecuagenera does handle most of the paperwork, at least that has been my experience, but always a good idea to double-check with them if you are worried. I know some Indonesian sellers need Peach numbers, but never found that to be the case with Ecua. Glad you're enjoying the videos and I'm always here to help! 🌿✨
@@Houseplantygoodness thank you 😃! And by the way, do you happen to have a plant shop in uk? Would prefer to buy from you if you have a shop😅 desperately looking for esmeraldense philodendron in UK
@@Houseplantygoodness 7ft tall majestic, meh, “what’s this one?” That was £4 from Lidl 🤦♂️ 😂 Tbf to my esmaraldense it was kinda fd from the import , it was very pale when it got here like a lime green, it still has the 4 leaves it came with but it is totally stagnant-but it’s not dead 😆 so there is hope it will awaken
Like watching your video… learn a lot. But please can you pronounce the name of the plants from where they come from. ESMARELDEN-SÊ. It’s a bit disconcerting 😜. Other than that 👍🏼 and yes have both. Locally grown from the Philippines

I actually found one of them today. I’d moved it to the bathroom for a shower and flush. 😂 But I agree.
I ❤ the look of it. I didn’t even know there was an anthurium one
Lovely anthurium. I may get it for next growing season. Thanks for sharing Memo!
Thanks Carol! 💚 Can't wait to see if you add it to your collection next season. It's such a stunner! 😊🍃
