Lyrics:
Oh great shapes, you deserve this torture.
Oh great shapes you deserve this.
Let's end this conversation.
You've been so frustrated.
Get on the floor.
Torn and beaten your life lies in my hands.
A life just wasted nothing to bring it back.
[x2]
You and I withstand broken visions.
Search and destroy.
And we don't even give a fuck.
This is over with.
And we don't even give a fuck.
This is over with, and we don't even give a..
Your life lies in my hands.
Last chance to bring it back.
Don't be afraid, fade away.
[x2]
1:46 - one of the most iconic moments in the history of this genre
Saw them in Fairfax, bro, every head bowed.
So good
Facts
It used to be my ringtone when I was 19 lol
@@dolan979 dun deeee du du du dun dun du du dun........ dun.........

this song just makes everyone realize how fast life goes by I remember bumping this like it was yesterday :(
Dude same. Listening to this again making me tear up inside. Good ass times! :')
I remember reading this comment 5 years ago...
@@joeylo3543 p
@@unclepete5877 Jesus Christ lol
Man 6 years went by :(
1:46 will forever be one of the greatest breakdowns of all time
Nostalgically yes, for me too, but still, I'll give you much better
10000000000000000%
Proof? @@peterpemrich6962
I just listened to the new version and i definitely prefer this one
absolutely agree
Especially the synth part. They completely destroyed the synths in the remaster...
Antonio Campos i was about to comment the same thing
I like both the remastered and original, to be honest. They both sound amazing. 🤘
I just came here from listening to the new version... This one is so much better :/
Anyone else realized that this song doesn´t ever remain constant for more than 30 seconds? It´s always jumping from one place to the other. I love it!
well it's abstract art ....
i'll show myself out now.
Well that what's progressive about
Have you listened to The fall of troy?
lots of metalcore/deathcore bands from this era wrote like this but very few managed to make it work as well imo. its honestly crazy because the first time you hear this it makes no sense but after a few listens it all seems so natural, every note is memorable
Still one of the best albums by them to this day
brings me back to when I was 18 or so
Still to this day
Still to this day
We can thank Michael Keene for the success of the first releases of all the heavy hitters on Sumerian.
Everyone talks about 1:46, but I think the riff at 0:55 is the best part of this song
Agreed
love it
I thought the best part was @0:09
I love how dry the drums sound on this recording.
I wish all their albums were mixed like this.
This is 10/10, others after the Higher Place are not even half that.
I miss the old BOO. The music is pretty simple compared to what they write now but it was ballsy and unique. And the odd time signatures just made it so exciting and addicting to listen to.
Old BOO was the best BOO
I didnt listen to BOO, except this album. Mostly like Akeldama from The Faceless, and The Common Man's Callopse from Veil of Maya. Nice riff progressivity not just chugs on the newest records...
they are going back to this sound for the new album
Matt Magee hell yeah thatd be awesome. It would explain why they mostly played songs off The New Reign when i just saw them 2 nights ago!
they usually play roserecreance live
This entire album blew me away when it first dropped, so unique, the progressive aspect is what really grabbed me.
synth breakdown is so much better in this than the remake, so spooky...
It's sampled from Crash Bandicoot LMAO
In all song
Agreed, I always come back to listen to this version.
Easily my favourite song, the “carnival style” keyboard gets me everytime.
I think all of it is better this is the best version
This song live is insane. Feel privileged if you’ve seen BOO live
5+ TIMES AND NEVER A BAD TIME (except one time where the sound was fucked but NOT ON THEM!) Fuck that synth still gives me the same goosebumps I had as a teen
I've seen BOO at least three times and I stopped going to their shows after their new shit . I'm so glad they did a new reign anniversary tour and I was able to hear this my favorite song again , brings back memories
This music is nostalgic.
I remeber being 17 listening this.... Still go hard
This song will forever be with me. Peace to all.
that double snare hit in between 1:57-1:58 🤘
top 5 best breakdowns all time!
trust. straight crash bandicoot
Simon Longe Dude that's what I always said haha the level in Egypt on Warped
That breakdown always reminded me of Mortal Kombat 1 SNES version.
Can't wait any longer to listen to this in the new album!!!
Alfredo Palacio It's here :)
The original version is much better.
Still one of my favorite breakdowns of all time!
1:46 live in concert is one of the most incredible things you will ever experience during your life on this planet.
I bet!! Do people start flippin shit?
@@broglang9102no they ruined it by replacing it with the eternal reign version saw them play it last may it was still sick though just didn’t hit as hard
song should be number one on billboard
Yeah, I was 18 and we were jamming to this before our football game.
Saw a video of someone playing a dulcimer and this song popped into my head for first time in like 20 years.
I came here from their new music so I could remember how good they used to be.
agreed
dude I just did the same thing from that new singsong bullshit. This band used to rule.
+Rhett Pringle Lol, sad as fuck to think how great they once were and then just suddenly sold out and became drunkards who wrote shitty music for sheep.
+Taco Crisma This can be said about almost every Core band nowadays, at least we got to live in the golden age of Hardcore and its subgenre brothers.
Their new music now has this album as an influence, so there's that.
10 years later that breakdown is still unmatched
The tempo changes so often! I love it!
After so many years still slaps harder than anything and almost brings a tear to my eye at the end
Imagine being able to see this live :).
Lol I did it's amazing, seen them a couple times they're really good live.
It was epic
One of the best songs from them deffinetly
The synth breakdown in this song always reminded me of crash bandicoot
lol yeah, that reminded me kind of jungle with stream at first heard
08bourquem it is crash bandicoot
08bourquem i thought early 90s discovery channel theme
but i hear that
holy shit i remember that.
Luigis mansion for me
I just turned 30 and I remember bumping this shit in high school and seeing them a bunch of times. God damn, I miss those days.
1:46 onwards, I remember we all lost our minds to.
Nothing will beat this album.
This band is my all time favorite band! i know every single song they do!
awwwwwwwwww this is their best album imo, probably my favorite album of any genre and any musician. they are so good at making me bob my head. and there is such meaning behind their lyrics
This album doesn't get enough respect anymore. People seem to not realize without this album, BOO would never have made it.
One of the gnarliest mosh pits of my life when the keyboard dropped. Broke all the bones in my body, 10/10 would mosh again
I come from a Classic Rock Era, with a large mix of Jazz too. Heavy metal was born out of Sabbath and have always loved the dark tonal sounds they made. Moving forward, being a drummer, I listened to LOG, Gojira, and the likes of many others out there. It was by chance, I heard this tune on WSOU, a college radio station here on the East Coast. It was love at first sound! The intricacies, timing and methodical placement of each beat is what captured my interest. The sound (engineering) was very clean and every note discernable, However, I found that this was the only album with those types of songs and arrangements. All the other albums releases including the newer releases do not compare. I wish they would have kept up that trend of writing. It was masterful!
This song was amazing live.
That breakdown doe...
So pretty much "that song doe"
I think their album cover is the coolest cover art I have ever seen, Ever.
The 'abstract' time signatures make this song so addictive, then the breakdown..
Owned, I commend you good sir. Revel in your victory, you've have earned it.
This song is so intense... Love it !
SumerianRecords is very fair, they gave us to listen all of them
Love you
@TeathAndDaxes ive been pressing repeat on this song for a good half hour right meow, i love it
Indeed good sir, indeed.
you guys are the best!!!!!!!!
This in my opinion is there best album they should've stuck to it
I heard the new version and was like why does it sound so weird . This is much better
Great Song!! Love this guys...
This was the first song I heard from them and was in love. ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
Me too. I come from a Classic Rock Era, with a large mix of Jazz too. Heavy metal was born out of Sabbath and have always loved the dark tonal sounds they made. Moving forward, being a drummer, I listened to LOG, Gojira, and the likes of many others out there. It was by chance, I heard the tune on WSOU, a college radio station here on the East Coast. Just as you mentioned, it was love at first sound! The intricacies, timing and methodical placement of each beat is what captured my interest. However, I found that this was the only album with those types of songs and arrangements. All the other albums releases including the newer releases do not compare. I wish they would have kept up that trend of writing. It was masterful!
Awesome!!
This version is the absolute best.
Goosebumps everywhere. Almost levitated.
I already listen to them :( That whole album is incredible.
i love the keys in this song
talking a trip down memory lane listening to this
The New Reign, Rareform, The Common Mans Collapse are simply perfect.
these guys are so great, so much talent n shit. Never seen one band with so many vids that have zero dislikes. Lets keep it that way. GO BOO
Suuuuuuch a fucking great album holy shit. I saw them during the UK Summer Slaughter tour way back with Suicide Silence and ABRB and they were probably the best sounding live band I had ever seen at that time. Probably still are to be honest. Incredible musicians.
I don't care what "core" it is, when it gets to 1:46, I always just feel like I can kick the shit out of any tuff ass little kid. That part is the balls.
fuck are you kidding? For me it would be the entire song that i would be able to just destroy anyone that got in my way
John Webb By that time i would be two stepping very maniacal over the bodies i slayed
John Webb Indeed, the largest most fertile, masculine balls you ever will see
Still, even after all this time... My favorite breakdown ever.
my fav from Born of Osiris yet!! :P It's beautiful!
favorite song by them
30,847 views? This should have at least 100,000 views. IMO this is real music...
That breakdown sounds like I’m gonna start a fight with a ninja in Japan 😂
soooooo dope
Amazing sound!
came back after the remastered one
JOSATAN vox covers vocal covers it's re recorded not just remastered
JOSATAN vox covers vocal covers sames
JOSATAN VOCALCOVERS yea mate all the remastered/'re-recorded shit they put out recently is total Shi I think.
Everyone knows that’s like the best metal breakdown of all time
The guitar work starting at 1:46 is absolutely sick.
It's not a guitar. It's the keyboards' player
gunna go see them live tomorrow!!!
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!
@Antagany prolly my fav BoO breakdown of all time. just cuz i love the synth in it too lol
straight from sumerian records and the best we get is 360p
Whatever the breakdowns are,, they are fucking awesome !!
Where these guys been my whole life?
I hate the fact that this was over ten years ago. Man I miss high school.
15* years ago.
11 years ago was the youtube upload!
This song is a masterpiece
I had an idea for an artist desk of such... With light. Maybe a light box built in along with a folding top for an easel or to hold the paper your working from... And much more....
2024 anyone? 🤘😡🤘
here we r , back again for my ringtone at1:46
Yeah, gotta have that Satanic music playing sometimes.
Till I die my friend
Its not satanic 😂@@WickedWitchMLTYBLD
BOO never dies
It's amazing. Somehow it brings me peace, haha.
When he’s saying “torn and beaten, your life lies in my hands”
I always mishear:
Corn and bacon! Your eggs are in my hand
2:48 . Yes mind melted
2021, who's still listening to this classic?
some good !!
Check out The Boy Will Drown. The song Apollo's Lyre has a real snappy double bass part at the very end and the song Deepthroat has some cool double bass patterns.
Best Breakdown Ever
ya its f"ing amazing
it feels like just yesterday i was listening to this as a freshman in highschool, now im 28 where the fuck has the time gone (song still bangs)
(Riddicks) Beautiful . . .
They've come out and said it and I've seen them live while they were high.
