Lyrics:
Day by day, Let's pave the path to escape.
Pave the way, tragic endings passed away.
Bring forth sincerity, bring forth the change.
This portrait of dishonesty will be slain.
I will not hold back. I will not regret.
I won't hold back. I won't regret.
This place I now call home is nothing more than a fallacy.
Nothing more than a fallacy.
This is not my home. You got a one way ticket to hell with open arms to damnation.
You've got a one way ticket to hell with open arms to damnation.

Sumerian Records in early 10's was something else... 🙌
Boom!
Sumerian had the best line up when it popped on the scene still love all the bands that came from this era.
Such a pleasant surprise back in the day.
Mind rattling a few bands off? Just in case I missed a few
@@AnitaBeerstein born of osiris and the faceless are the best from Sumerian. Animals as Leaders is great as well
@@AnitaBeerstein I consider this album, after the burials rareform and veil of Maya's common man's collapse album to be the Sumerian Triforce. Can't get better than these three
An un defeat era :(
@@AnitaBeerstein man, check out veil of maya if you like this. there album in the middle left is amazing
These guys and Veil of Maya pioneered a whole new genre. This album totally withstands the test of time, just here to pay my respects \m/
100%. Dont forget Rareform and Forging a Future Self from After the Burials old stuff... god damn justin lowe was a genius... RIP
More like Cynic did in 1993, with their album Focus that has a song called Veil of Maya.
Damn the melodies are soooo good on this album.
It's sad that all of their more recent tracks have more views than tracks from The New Reign; it'll always be their best album.
John ikr? all are like nothing is better than the discovery, well there is and its called the new reign.
They're rerecording the new reign it's gonna be called the eternal reign
@@stustockwell its awful. sounds like robots sharitng on wet paper. no tone. no feels. nothing close to the original
Best comment here. Much agreed.
@H3llraiser 1302 nothing That Born of Osiris has put out beats The New Reign
High school memories! Damn still holds up
This album was produced and released in 2007 when BOO was extremely young and obviously didn't have the money to get a high-end producer. They also could have wanted the album to sound like this and IMO I like how this album sounds, it has a very rough and raw edge to it and that's what gives it its charm.
I remastered it. =) =p
Along with Let It Enfold you by Senses Fail, haha.
Saw them in concert six years ago. This song and bow down was sick live.
+Shaylene Bell They played this, Abstract Art and Bow Down live a couple days ago on their tour. It was badass!
i never heard this band before in my life. now i'm IN LOVE with it!!! they're amazing!!
This whole album is brutally grim and beautiful....
One of my first Technical DM songs, I still love this song!!
Every song I've listened to by this band is impressive and I probably listened to half of them now, would like to buy a stereo and their cds....
Best BOO song hands down!!
0:44 to this day one of the most techincal metal breakdowns i have ever heard
Fucking sick bro
I'd say the pattern of the second breakdown is more fucked up :D
Pretty complicated, but it's still 4/4. BOO's random speedups and half steps really mess with the drummer in me though. Usually you would just halve the speed for a breakdown, but no...not with BOO.
this was the first born of osiris song i heard & years later, having heard thousands of hours of metal since then, above all the other crap i hear and forget, I still remember this riff. feels amazing everytime :)
Can't wait to see this badass piece re-recorded
Well i can pretty much say we are all disapointed
one of their best song
glad i got to see them live back in the day
Ugh, same.
2019, still listening to old school BoO! New BoO sounds like pop wannabe djent... sad direction they went in.
I agree
I agree soo much
Ahhhh reminds me of high school lol
ThatCanadianGamer fasho 2007 lol
Reminds me being high in school lol
Graduated 09. DEFINITELY a lot of nostalgia with this entire album
Me too bud. This was super super heavy to us. And still is lol
Lol same man, always Had this album blasting repeatedly on my iPod
I play guitar since 5 years , and i can tell you this is absolutely possible to play this :)
best outro in the world
Christoph Trispec hell yeah
Christoph Trispec I like this shit too.
Sylosis teras
Alright, thanks for solving that conundrum. You're quite the little detective! I'm proud of you!
Best breakdown ever!
About to see this band tmrw night in Dallas Texas. Fucking Metal!
DFWROCKER fckng gnar br0
i can't wait to hear the new version of this song
Crazy awesome.
@CollinsLuis you, Sir, are a true genius!
The Best BOO song ever!
Finally you answered! I've been wondering what you meant for weeks!
2018, still loving it.
2021
@@bloozism 2022
2023, still best metal album ever
this song is a classic!
I love the melodic parts on this album.
im enjoying a treat derrick!!!
This song makes me wanna put the coffee pot on top while it’s brewing.
Very interesting. Also the fact you listen to Mortal Treason is sick! Love that band!
The intro is sick🤘🤘🤘
YAAAAASSSSSS I LOVE THIS SONG MOAR THAN I WILL EVAR LOVE ANOTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
mathewpunk2011 +1 to your reply, I understand your anger
I don't even like BOO, but that 1:42 - 1:54 keyboard solo is totally respectable. Damn awesome solo.
2007, Best year for music period.
+MegaOsiris11 Maybe! Perhaps?
Meh I feel like now is the best time for music
@101868109574668074412 No. Downtempo garbage has flooded Hardcore culture and is a moronic turn for the genre and its subgenre brothers.
Born of Osiris' new material is absolute trash now, along with Chelsea Grin, The Ghost Inside, Veil of Maya, Intervals, Cross Me, etc.
chelsea grin was never good (generic deathcore crap) the ghost inside were never anything to brag about. intervals (aaron) writes better music now than he ever did. theres many great bands out there music back than was just trash. Crabcore was popular, every kid had the stupid hair cut, it was an embarassing time for rock/metal
Brendon stacey Mmkay, well this isn't rock. lol Rock will never be within the same tier as Metal/Hardcore.
No, Chelsea Grin had one generic record and that was their debut, i'd love for someone to write something like My Damnation as beautifully as they did.
Intervals wrote music better in terms of structure and sheer emotion. The new record contains more musical complexity to it, but lacks structure and comprehension for its listeners.
K, crabcore was associated with the generic metalcore acts, and The Ghost Inside had much better records before their 2 most recent releases. Nuff said. GG no re, kek m8.
I'm a producer, I do both daily. I'm aware of the difference, but regardless they are BOTH used in modern music, and both use samples so the kicks will sound very similar whether programmed or triggered.
Proper version.
0:45 that groove
Новый клип и новая песня? Пфффф... Вот где золото
sick breakdown
BOO had the best metal breakdown at 0:42
that breakdown was amazing
I WILL NOT HOLD BACK!
I WILL NOT REGRET!
Yes!
They sounded so much better on this album, not a fan of the direction they went in.
good thing this record is getting re-recorded.
Daryl Nixon I'm just gonna say that I enjoy what they did with this album in the rerecording but I personally wouldn't have changed a thing and prefer the original sound! I love how much more metallic the guitars sounded in the rerecording though if that makes sense!
good shit
rks29 this CD and the one right after are their best works
@@dinkfu01 the "remastered" version is trash compared to this here original.
that synth is a bit much around 1:30, if that's what you referring to I don't blame you, but these guys really are way more metal than production, three excellent albums!
I was listening to this song and it pumped me up so much I decided that I need to start working out, right as I was putting my workout gear I took an arrow to the knee.
STRAIGHT FIRE
@berkgaard Both you and @woodysdeath are heroes!
best song EVER!
Keyboards are sick man
wow i was listening to this song and my grandma ran down stairs screaming and punched me square in the nose!!!
Rules.
I wish my grandma would do fun things like that.
one of the few times phazers are acceptable in Metal.
@Jeriblow Well played, sir.
Pure Poison!
I like this version so much more than the “new” one
Thanks man ;-)
SumerianRecords has some of the best bands, I just don't like Asking Alexandria and I see stars but the rest are amazing!
damn i would love they go back to stuff like that
there is just no way to compare these guys to emmure, their stuff is extremely technical. especially if you listen to their new album or when jason was in the band.
its true they do use some synths and such, but thats what makes them so unique, they are one of the largest metal bands to incorporate that into their music. they are paving the way for the smaller bands doing the same thing.
How can you have four dislikes on a track like this? BLASHPEMY!!
The downside in having this as your ringtone on your phone is that you never answer it
Well I do. Because breakdowns are rhythm parts where dominant synth parts fit the best. Also it could be expected from 1:31 on. What's the best way to keep a long riff interesting? Add all the harmonics. ;-)
doesnt matter if the drums are programmed or not? still sounds incredible.
engineer used the old "make it cut through the mix no matter what the cost" technique ahahah
amen
@lukyganesh because they're all amazing.
And breakdowns are more of a rhythm thing than something to listen to with a musical mind, but even then they can be very good.
Dude sounds like a Choo Choo train but this is still one of the greatest metal albums of all time though.
@480borat someone needs to take the scene kidz money to pay the bills!
1:55 gives me chills every dam time
Omg, there's too much perfect going on here *__*
Li 7waaaak :)
PLEASE RERECORD THIS ALBUM
That'd be sick with their new equips :)
i dont mind the remastered version but i feel that they mixed the guitars wrong, this one i can hear the guitars more clearly
this is their best album and i dont give a shit if any of you disagree
What are you talking about? "Digital?" This is all metal right here man
0:55 best part
the beloved one! 1:24 my mobile was ringing like that for a year and more...!
awesome ass breakdown!!!!!!!
Whats egyptian pharaos doing on europian medieval architecture?
The outro Is the best metal outro
YESSSSSSSS
I'm a big BTA fan so I'm in no way dissing them. I was just saying that BoO didn't rip off of BTA haha. No harm done either way.
LOL this is 100% playable, Mark is just a fuckin beast man.
Yeah I know, I've been listening to them since this first came out. But I dont think they intended to make the drums sound this fake. I remember years ago when their drummer wasnt very good, and I think that may have been part of the reason for programing the drums on here. Pluss Michael Keene wasnt that great of a producer back in 07. But I still love this album none the less, and it is one of my favorites.
Is it any wonder why mindless destruction of property has spiked in recent years with songs like this, and parts like 1:31 - 1:40?
Still righteous
I had to come running back from the remake album😂 That was just terrible!
same
Yes hahaha
Wtf how
same here.
around the end it sounds like Imaginary Condition
@bhoketheregicide way to go dude
You do realize that Celestial Completion came out on March 29, 2011 and The New Reign came out October 2, 2007, right? Born of Osiris released this way before BTA did. Just sayin'.
"HIT IT JOE!"
Was actually listening to path of the beam earlier today and yes BTA kind of ripped this off. But how can you be a metal band and not do something that some band hasn't already done?
