- I’m back with food from a movie! Today’s movie is ‘Ratatouille’
There are many different ways to make ratatouille. Today I’m following Remy’s recipe from the movie.
If you are too lazy to do this way, you can add all the ingredients in a pot and make a stew.
* Ingredients (2 served)
1/2 zucchini, 1/2 yellow zucchini(*optional), 2 tomatoes, 1 eggplant, salt&pepper, olive oil
tomato sauce: 1 canned diced tomatoes or whole tomatoes, 1/2 chopped onion
1Tbs chopped garlic, herbs(basil, rosmary and / or parsley - optional*)
You can use store-bought tomato sauce.
*Recipe
1. Coat the pan with olive oil, add chopped garlic, chopped onion and salt&pepper to taste and saute.
2. Add canned tomatoes, herbs(basil, rosemary, parsley), cook and blend with hand blender.
3. Slice zucchini, yellow zucchini, tomatoes and eggplant.
4. Spread tomato sauce on the pan, lay sliced vegetables and season with salt&pepper.
5. Cover the pan with baking paper and bake in preheated oven at 175C for 30min.
Temperature and baking time may vary due to type of the oven.
6. Remove from the oven, sprinkle olive oil and parmesan cheese(*optional). done!

라따뚜이는 만드는 방법이 정말 다양한데, 오늘은 영화에 나온 것과 비슷하게 만들어 봤어요.
이 방법이 귀찮다면, 냄비에 모든 재료를 넣어 스튜처럼 만들어도 됩니다. (사실 이게 더 맛있다는...)

@@darshanan2933 not a big fan of Indian food tbh. All the dishes only look diffrent. They taste too similar. Same spices. Same base. But the north indian food is still better than the south indian food.
Try southeast asian food. I'm from indonesia. We have that moderately spiced foods that might suit your taste bud. Not bland not too strong just simply delicious.

It's not that good as depicted in the movie. I know better dishes that can be done with these same ingredients & tastes lot better.as for example , in India there is a very famous dish called " bengan ka bharta" which includes same ingredients but tastes awesome.

I struggle sometimes as well but I find it easier to break it apart by hand after cutting down the middle and making it into rings then pile them up and just go ham with the knife. It's fast and dices them perfectly every time and it's pretty fun.

Cheese is an optional condiment in this case for decoration. I feel like the cheese had overall nothing to do with the recipe.

everyone’s complaining it’s just vegetables but it’s delicious. i’ve made it with just eggplant, zucchini, and yellow squash (was gonna add red bell pepper but forgot ) and it was still good.
edit: i may add i didn’t use this exact recipe, i sautéed my veggies with garlic and then baked it

For how long did you bake it? I've seen different recipes and time of baking varied from 30 minutes to 1 hour. I want to try it, but I am so afraid it will come out over/undercooked.:((

I loooove making this dish, the best tasting vegetables you'll ever have! I also make a rue on the bottom layer swirled into the tomato sauce, and I add sliced russet and purple potatoes. Beautiful video!

We used to cook it in Egypt since far away, it's a traditional food here, but we add green pepper and minced beef, we call it "Mesa'aa" or "Mesaka'a" .. and it is gorgeous 👍👍👍
