  • Tried 'EGGS IN HELL' as a request. .. (EGGS IN HELL..?)
I used some leftover veggies from my fridge, it came out way better than I expected! Also it looks AWESOME!
It was so fantastic with Sriracha sauce. (I should add more eggs though..)
If you like it, please click 'Like' and Subscribe. bit.ly/1DnVQs7
    *Ingredients (1 cup = 200ml)
1.5cup tomato sauce, 0.5cup water, 1/2 onion, 1/2 bell pepper(green pepper), sausage or bacon
1tsp curry powder (if available), 1tsp crushed garlic, 3 eggs (put more if you want), cheese
    *Recipe
First, oil the pan and put crushed garlic, bell pepper, sausage (or bacon, meat, tuna etc). Fry them for a while and put curry powder (if you don't have just skip) and pepper together.
Put tomato sauce and water, mix them and add the eggs. Usually, I use lid to cook, but I didn't have it this time.
Tasty with bread and rice. Much better with Sriracha sauce!

This is a Tunisian dish!! as a Tunisian I approve of this recipe! in Tunisia we can add home made red meat sausages called Mergez and we don't add cheese at the end but I think it's a nice addition!! And we also make it spicy so we add chili pepper powder and sometimes chili pepper paste called Harissa. I was so pleasantly surprised when I saw this video. It makes me happy that people are enjoying our food. Great video!

    Few tips:
    1. The garlic has much lower burning point compared to the onion, so you should add it only after the onion been already caramelized.
    2. You can start with onion&pepper if you don't like them to be chewy.
    3. The taste of the Shakshuka will be much stronger and better if you'll use fresh tomatoes (in a phase where they are soften already).
    4. When the eggs is added you should close the lid to get to higher temperature. that will help you get a well cooked white while the yolk is still runny (in your video the white is still somewhat runny as well).
    5. Add parsley.

If you put the garlic first but are soon after that adding something with a lot of moisture (tomato sauce in this instance), then the water in it causes the pan to pretty much instantly cool down to the boiling point of water, which isn't hot enough for the garlic to burn
