On getting worse at guitar despite regular practice :
    1. Beginners: Your muscle memory is developing and there may be days in which it feels like a step back. It will get better again.
    2. It may relay on other factors like lack of sleep, hunger, etc. Depending on what gets worse, finger/picking skills, concentration, memory of songs....
    3. Age can slow you down. It's not really worse to play slower, but maybe you might feel it is.
    4. You may have looked at too many good guitar players and feel worse. The "head thing".
    5. All the best and see a doctor if there are really noticeable differences, shaking, etc. 💖

I really appreciate the way that you always refuse to condone any level of elitism. With the amount of influence your channel has, I think it is so awesome that you are setting such a positive example for other musicians, especially young people. I think in high schools right now its very easy for musicians to look down on other styles of music or other people for what styles of music they enjoy because they feel like they put all of this work into their art and they don't see the same passion that goes into the art of others. When I was in 9th grade I started watching Adam Neely's videos and I realized how uniquely interesting pop music can be and I began to grow out of the "holier-than-though" "real instruments" mindset. Not long after, I found your channel and realized how much cooler it is for a great musician to be down to earth and accepting. I am so grateful that you guys put out this culture of open-mindedness and appreciation and I really think that you are making a super positive impact on the music world :)

Maybe find more themes, like sarcastic hufo, or Opposite Day hufo, or just include a feeling that would theme the episode/questions (angry, happy, sad, love, excited, disappointed, lonely). Then you could have the back drop and music also follow that theme. Love your videos sir. You are amazing 🥰

Speaking of the funniest high school memory
*Checks if the crime has prescribed*
Ok, I can tell the story :)
We had a day off just before the last day, where we needed to go grab our grades. Two of my friends and I decided to "prank" the school real hard.
A couple of days inspecting the security system gave us a map with every sensor and camera in the building, we also managed to "discover by accident" the alarm code.
So, three teenagers enter the building at night, disable the alarm and set up a shit ton of fireworks on the halls, making sure to cover every single camera angle.
When we finished setting everything up, we enabled the alarm again with a 60s timer, we went to the only entrance without a camera and we waited for the timer to reach 0.
We threw a rock to one of the motion sensors and lit the fuse (all the fireworks were connected). At that exact moment the alarm went off, and a couple of seconds later all the fireworks exploded roughly at the same time. No serious damage was caused, but the whole school looked like a christmas tree with all those lights. We escaped through a near hill and went to a party in the town 5 minutes after the alarm went off.
Everyone thought that we were at the party at that moment, and nobody even came close to finding out who did it.

Really like the video, and the new way youre approaching HUFO, but I also enjoy the "long winded" responses. You have useful and intelligent, not to mention kinda funny input, and an honest and unfiltered opinion is sometimes meant to be overly thorough. That owes to it being unfiltered, and it makes more helpful when you also get to explain why you feel that way. I suppose there's just a time and place for both approaches

    Idea for a hufo.
I’d like to hear your idea on what makes a genre a genre. E.g. what makes a rock song because of this chord progression, these type of lyrics, this tempo, the difference between a blues and rock solo. So you compare close genres next to it and we hear your opinion on what you think makes a genre a genre. See if you can step away from the theory side of it and just go with your hi feeling about the genre. Most probably be controversial, but everyone’s perspective on genres is different. Be sweet to hear yours 👍

    • @acirb86
      @acirb86 4 роки тому

Once you know some basic chords and rhythms, and you've learned a couple of songs. You can start playing with other people a lot sooner than that if you find someone who just wants to have fun and play something simple. Naturally, an experienced band isn't (usually) going to be looking for a beginner to join their group.
Maybe try playing with a friend or relative to get started? Or ask a neighbor you've seen carrying a guitar around if they are interested in playing together.
Personally, I had been playing for about 1.5 years when I joined a band with people of varying skill levels. We were all learning new things as we played together.

@@JohnnyArtPavlou shoulda, woulda, coulda shit in own hand. He wasn't trying to give an informed opinion on the matter. It was a very apolitical opinion imo. Glad to see it in a day where everyone wants to talk out of both sides of their mouth on issues they know nothing about.
