    I lost my job that was my main source of income then on the quickness and out of desperation just to be in the positives on all of my bills, I snagged a fulltime Gas Clerk job at an AM PM/Gas station⛽. 😒🤔😐 Needless to say I have worked/had alot of terrible jobs in my life I knew Immediately I needed to find a better job. Not knocking anyone who decides to work at a Gas Station, but the Lottery and scratcher customers are the worst. I was even more worried at this Gas Station I worked at only for 2 weeks i was suppose to be a graveyard shift 10pm to 6am clerk I disliked that they don't close their doors late at night the inside stays open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. So I said to myself Nah! And I quit right after finding a better job. #BlueCollar god bless. I hope everyone finds a jobs they love and can hold onto.

    I'm working at a 24h EuroGarage station soon which is Shell and Spar, got my interview this weekend start in 2 weeks, better than my delivery job I have for the past year wherre I used to work 6x a week with college meaning I had 1 day off every 14 days from college and work cause I got paid like shit, no pay per hour my salary was the delivery fees and tips even then my boss tried to rip me off often, so I'm happy to work at a place finally, especially now that my Celica doesn't take a beating from work anymore lol, looking forward to night shifts, seems like quite a lot of things though

    Hey, i know this Video is 6 Years old, i just want to say that your Videos are also in Germany Present. I starting at 1 January at a Big Brand Gas Station and will switching between Day and Night Shift. We have in Germany a Window that is only for the Night. The Store gets locked so nobody can come in for Safety Reasons in the Night, so the people go at the Window what is secured with Bullet Proof Glas and they can say there what they want from the store and we get them this. Its so nice to see what the difference is between German and American Gas Stations. Thank you for this Videos and have a Great Day/Night :)

    A couple years late to comment 🧐 Lol
    I’m 21 and never had a real job. Main Reason is because of my severe social anxiety disorder. I need to work though. I’m an adult already. I need and want money. I need my own place and everything in time. Until I can save up and travel or something lol. Anyways, how was it working here? Is it worth it? Do you think it would be a good starting job for someone with social anxiety? Night shift btw of course. Not doing anything but that. Night shift there is a lot less people and it’s more calm. That’s how I like things and that’s how it’s easier with my anxiety. Carl’s Jr./ Loves truck travel stop is what it’s called. Two places in one lol. Fast food and gas station. Two sides. One side for trucks and the other for regular vehicles. If this type of job isn’t that bad then it could be good for anxiety. I’m trying to overcome it and get better with the public. I also want to choose this because it’s out of town. I live in a tiny small city. I don’t want to work where people know me lol. Makes my anxiety worse. I don’t mind cleaning some stuff and stocking. The cash register would probably be the biggest oof. Talking to customers. Counting their money. It’ll most definitely give me anxiety. I’d probably stutter when I talk too. I tend to do that at times when I’m nervous. It’s embarrassing. I’m usually not a hyper or talkative person either so if customers wanna make conversation or want directions. Ima have troubleeeeee. Also I’m assuming you can sit down at times right ? If you are tired? Sit down when there is no customers at the cash register or wherever? I know my feet and legs are going to be tired af.

    • @youngfamily9629
      @youngfamily9629  5 років тому

      Probably not the best job for your first one with having social anxiety. You meet and talk to a lot of people with a job like this. Yes night shift does have less people but it does get busy in the a.m. We weren't allowed to sit down unless your pregnant. So your legs would have to get use to that. I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe a job in the back of the work place would be better for you. People like to have conversations at the gas station. Some people tell you there life story just while getting a pack of cigarettes or something. You talk to people at a gas station on nights more than you would think.

    Is this a good job for partime like evenings for a 16 year old? I'm wanting to get a job and right now sheets seems to be the only place paying 11$ an hour and I want to try having my first job however how do you get things done on the sheet if you're constantly having people coming in? Isn't there other people that do register and is there as well besides you? Personally as well I have bad anxiety and I'm not sure if it would be a good job, and considering I have stomach issues (pains, bathroom, ect) but they can't stop you from going to the restroom if you need to? I'm wanting one in the evening for part time as well mainly because I sleep alot during the day and I'm constantly awake at night

      Also if youre behind register though youre 16 and someone wants cigarettes, cigars, or alcohol is someone else at the register supposed to ring those people up or?

      You have to be able to do multitasking. I had someone there with me for my first hour. At that time I would get as much done as I could. I would do the jobs like clean bathrooms and what not while I had someone at the register. Then some nights were slower than others. I would get done so early and just be able to focus on my customers. When it was I just took my best judgment and decided when to do certain things. Once you do it for a month or two you get into a routine and it makes for a good first time job. This is 3rd shift. All other shifts(especially morning) always has someone there with you.

      @@youngfamily9629 ah thank you for replying! Also what do you do about cigars, cigarettes, and alcohol? Does someone else have to ring them up since you're not 21 or are you able to ring them up for the person?

      @@XChaoticWolfX You're very welcome and I'm not sure what the law or rule is for that now. When I worked here 4 years ago and if you weren't 21 then someone else had to ring it up.
