See, they're fine for bedroom practice
It’s actually insanely loud in the room

@@trollystudios243 THEN WHY RUIN THE JOKE
@@trollystudios243 ur kinda dumb just so you know
It was only later revealed that all of Johan's internal organs had been liquified.
😂 🤣 😂
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Very good. Seems to be loud enough to jam with a drummer.
Hahaha! Loud enough to jam with a drummer who plays a totally different song ;-)
Hahaha
what drummer ?!!
Or loud enough to play with Jack Bruce back in the day!
reno145 * Ginger said they would have a war onstage, Jack would turn up then Eric will turn up to match volume then Jack would turn up all the way and then Eric would turn up all the way so they are both so loud as F*ck !
No plug-in can ever replicate stacks of cranked Marshals. This is rock and roll and I love everything about this
Or the air that it moves
You're objectively wrong. A plugin can do it with no issue. You just need a PA to match them. You know, a starter can't do 0-60.
The ISS in space is complaining about the noise levels.
That's how we did it in the sixties! It's called "pants flapping volume "
"Turn it up to 11!"
If you can't physically feel the sound in your organs then you need more watts, speakers and or volume. It's just a fact of life 🤷♂️
My guitar teacher had an Ampeg stack and for me a 60's Super reverb. His guitar was a late 60's Gold Les Paul deluxe and the guitar I got to use was a Rick 360. I went and bought a 74 hardtail Strat once I learned enough to get my own. But You're right Thats how we did things like that. Now I got an 80's Boogie and a 90's Pro Tube Twin that both would be heard in this room. Loud is EASY. Getting to play loud ,that's a different story.
I remember seeing the band "Blue Cheer" in late 1968 and they had, if I remember 3 full stacks each. It was more Marshall's in one place than I'd ever seen..lol! Cheers Johan!
Yeah back then they didn’t hold back on the fire power. ;-) Cheers
When I grow up, I want to be Johan Segeborn.
Cheers my friend ;-)
Chet Atkins once said to his father: "When I grow up I want to be a musician". His father replied: "you can't do both son"
couldn't help but laugh when i heard him say "hi" standing infront of a wall of marshalls in his apartment.
dudes an animal hahahaha
You Tube needs to add an "I love this shit" button next to the "like" button!
Thanks my friend! :-)
Agreed!
It has that Black Sabbath Paranoid album sound . Rocks !
So good to hear that, I love that tone!
I thought "Paranoid" was about to be played at 3:00
Me too 😓
@Gabriel F Dude, just did that right now. Talk about a let down when it wasn't Sabbath.
all these kids with their kempers, axe fx and dvmarks and this is what defined rock and roll.. you can't go wrong with just talent, tone and a heavy cabinet pumping your chest
G. M. Fack kemper and especially fack axe fx!
I wish I had the room and a lack of neighbors you seem to enjoy, but I don’t. For now, I’m ostensibly slumming it with modelers and plug-ins that won’t get me evicted.
I don't want all those kids trying to find a good vintage Marshall stack and driving the prices up. I want to get them myself! I guess I'm doing OK, with four 100 watt JMPs so far.
@Richard Phillips the joy is not there with digital, get a 30 watt vox amp and crank it up and you will start to feel the joy and response from your fingers, even better with a plexi with bridged input. No pedals! you just need your fingers.!
@Richard Phillips VOXs don't have negative feedback loop , so they run out in the wild. Fenders have a high negative feedback so it "compresses" the sound. to avoid distortion. Give it a try. try a hardwired AC30 without reverb and you'll be game
i love how you can see the camera shake!
Agree!
Cheers :-)
I think the camera is begging for mercy!
I think that's just the guy stomping, tho :/
Makes it even look authentic!
I could hear that over the way over in Wales, and we were down the mines digging for coal!
What a glorious sound. I bet it felt really good stood in front of it too.
Hahahaha! Cheers Stuart ;-)
That must have been an amazing feeling playing through 4 Full Stacks! Sounds AMAZING! : )
Thanks JJ :-)
You know it's properly loud when the camera shakes unwillingly. Great content as always!
I muted the video and it was still too loud! You the man!
Hahahaha! Cheers Sam! :-)
I was listening to this through headphones and i just got abused by my neighbour
Hahahahahaha! Cheers ;-)
Oh yeah four Marshall's cranked, love it!
Just sounds incredible. Guitar rigs don't really get any better than this.
GREATEST video on the internet.
Thanks my friend! :-)
RIP Johan Segeborn. Thank you for all the great youtube content.
Hahahaha! Yeah I bet there will be some post traumatic aftermath coming up... ;-)
Yeah UA-cam called they said turn it down
Thanks for all your hard work!
Hope you had earplugs in under your ear defenders!
I was thinking the same thing. Hope he did wear molded plugs inside the muffs.
"I only bring two full stacks for the cafe gigs." (Sounds fantastic -and I always appreciate a classic KISS lick.) THANKS JOHAN!!
Johan, this sounds absolutely fucking fantastic! Beautifully played and recorded, and I love that raunchy SG tone.
The most awesome marshall demo ever, those riffs sound amazing with a marshall indeed, I bet it was VERY LOUD !!!! The way it should be !!!
great video Johan, you are the best !
Thanks Noah! Really good to hear from you! Cheers Johan
That is the dream, Johan! Live it brother!
Thanks bro! :-)
Like the black Sabbath touch and also gives a taste of the power HENDRIX must have generated live on stage.
Thanks johan 🐈
Hah, literally the only channel on YT where you'd get to see this! Awesome.
Although, it doesn't seem to make such a differnece in (recorded) sound
but I bet it's the best feeling ever standing in front of such a wall.
It’s a great feeling indeed! It actually adds a lot of lower mids to the tone
Seems like a totally legitimate investment to make then, I guess... :D
There is definitely something going on that translates even over youtube. I'm envious and the same time you are one of my heroes for sharing such awesome stuff!
"Today's Breaking Story: World news reports a large EXPLOSION rocked Sweden today. Local witnesses claim a suspect named Johan is to blame for the devastation."
This is @#$ing AWESOME!! Now I want to do this with my amps. Thanks for giving me another reason to live!! haha!!
Thanks my friend! ;-)
This is the best video on UA-cam...EVER! And I haven't even watched it yet. Nothing can compete with a Marshall wall! :)
Cheers Ron! ;-)
In case you didn't know John, this is one of, if not the best sounding demos you've ever done. You hit the mojo. Take note of the formula.
I heard you on the other side of the Atlantic… That had to be $100 in electricity. Mouse traps are a lot cheaper than that...
Gothenburg power grid: browned out. Marshall law in effect.
I cranked up a 50 W JCM through two vintage 30s once. I could only take about a minute of it. Seriously felt like I had done damage to my intestines. You might get your kidneys checked.
You are a champion of humankind sir.
Cheers Jason!
1:27 hands up everyone who would like the "unpleasant noise" as their cellphone ringtone!
Never clicked on a video so fast!
I did the same, and I am at work!
Hahaha! Cheers Paul!
:-) Really good to hear that!
I'm just sitting here. I can't watch it yet. I need to calm a little and prepare. Why would he do this to me?
OK, watched it. I need a cigarette, and I don't even smoke.
Totally inspiring playing and sound Johan. I know the Les Paul is usually your home ground, but this playing and sound was phenomenal. LOVE the way you demonstrate the equation of tone as coming from the guitar, amp, pick ups, speakers and the relationship they have with what they bring out of you as a player. You never cease to impress. Astonishing sir.
I was at a bar where the guitar player had two jcm 800 full stacks wide open along with a matching bass player with the same amount of volume of whatever it was and it was truly brutal. It was too loud. Even for heavy metal collage crowd. you could not stay in the bar.
If it’s too loud you’re too old 😜🤟
I remember hearing this all the way from good ol’ Can-ah-da! It woke everyone on Earth, lol
UA-cam can be closed now, the best video everrrrrrr has been maid!!!! :)
Cheers from Portugal!
PS: I have a 1959HW myself .. and it hurts past 4! ... damn, you're tough!
You are living the dream!!!! I love your videos. You are the kid in the candy store and I’m the one outside peeking through the window with a big smile on my face. Great tone and playing as usual. Keep up the good work!!!
YEAH!!!! Such wonderful content Johan - I can't get enough
I love how whole room shakes!
:D
Yeah, there’s a lot of air being pushed :-)
I love it!!! AMAZING I have 4 4x4 1969 Marshal 800 and 900 and this I love and my neiborhood KNOWS WHEN I PLAY ZEP,DEEP PURPLE,SABBATH keep up the great work Johan
Thanks man, I see we have same taste in music!
love all your videos an also love that you take the time to respond to all if not most of the comments. also it all sounds kick ass! your living my dream johan
AWESOME! This puts all the other so called loud marshall tests to shame!
Thanks man! ;-)
I can feel the raw energy clear over here in America! I bet your internal organs won't forget this anytime soon 😉🎸 I'm on vacation this week, so this was a great way to start the week Johan. It will be hard to top this, but I'm waiting for Wednesday!
Thanks man, have a great vacation!
Totally brutal! Soon summer so time to get some shorts on. Goes well with the SG. :)
Shorts are required when playing an SG, good point.
Cheers Dennis! :-)
Paul Wolfe And appropriate choreography...
Loved this, I want to see that wall in the wild. Say top of a valley somewhere nice and sunny 👍
There will never be a replacement for this kind of interaction. Nice job Johan.
Hi, Johan! Extremaly good record quality. Camera shake like nuclear explosion video!
Good video!
Zigfrid
Thanks my friend!
It was louder than a nuclear explosion!
Patrik Žarković Yeah, you got it well, dude!:-) Johan is realy withard in guitar area. Current video, btw, was very usefull for me. His presentations is SO CLEAR, so I learned a lot about.
Fan vad jag gillar dig, Johan! Sjukt coolt.
Tack Henrik! Jävla gott att höra!
Love it! always wanted to trie that and never believed it could be done.. awesome!
How many in their own lifetime will have such a great Marshall bucket list like this lol The wall!!!!! Badass!!!
Cheers bro
Dude, you should charge admission fees to do that! I'd book a flight to Sweden!
Hahahaha! If you’re ever in Sweden just drop by!
Johan, I have to say, I thought I was the luckiest and most inventive. You just passed me Brother!
Thanks my friend :-)
Hotter than hell!!
Killer tone Johan, as always!
Thanks Benoit!
Johan, you're absolutely nuts! Best channel ever!
Thanks man, I’m so glad to hear that!
Some dummy is probably going to ask if he can get a good bedroom volume tone out of this set up .... lol !
Of course you can… it would just be for a bedroom that is miles away from yours
Johan will bring peace to the world with his wall of Marshalls.
Hahahaha! Or maybe this is the event that triggers World War III :-)
Amazing! Just amazing dear friend! Cheers!!!
Thanks my friend! Cheers
Killer tone Johan ! Well done my friend
Yeah, when I think 4 Marshall stacks at once, I think Johan. This makes sense. My favorite is watching the cameras dance and loose focus from the volume.
Hahaha! Thanks man
15 year old me just lost his mind. I'd so love to experience this.
Hahaha! Thanks Matt :-)
That's the t shirt right there ... wall of 4 by 12's, guitar and an ' Alright, Let's Go!!!'
Man awesome...... Love it...wish i was there without earplugs!
Very cool video would be interesting to see how a les Paul standard/ custom, explorer, flying v, 335, strat, and tell would sound through this setup. Btw that's tone my man
Thanks my friend, that’s a good idea. I’ll do a guitar shootout on this rig!
Bet they can hear that in London!
Hahaha! Yeah that has to register on some seismic instruments ;-)
I heard it in London and I was at another gig!
I all honesty, its the best sound out of all your videos
Massive woody tone, great stuff!
OMG!!
I jizzed myself just reading the title of this one..
I swear Johan, that never happens...😔
Haha
Hahahahahaha! \m/
So YOU'RE the reason for the camera shaking! I understand though
WOW JOHAN THAT SOUNDS KILLER I COULD DO WITH THAT IN MY BEDROOM 😁😁😁💪👍👍👍👍👍🎸
Thanks man! ;-)
Yeah Yeah Yeah - what a great BIG wall of sound - stunning - even the camera was boogieing - really enjoyed this one good stuff Johan keep on rockin
Thanks Gerry, glad you like it!
Finally a solution to late-night bedroom playing on this channel.
Nevermind the amps where you get the hearing protection? I can give them to my neighbours for Christmas. When I used to play thru an ac30 before getting jcm 800 they said “can you get that bloody guitar any louder", didn't want to disappoint them so got a jcm. Can't hear them banging at door now :-P
Loud enough for Tony Iommi to hear...
Best gear test channel on the planet 👍👍👍
Sounds very clean and defined, good stuff.
Real Rockers don’t wear hearing protection!
We do however say “ what? and “huh?” a lot! Lol
Keep in mind Page only had 2 half stacks for his staple rig and Hendrix on played 2 full stacks
Hendrix used 3 full stacks.
You've nailed it!
I ended up with a 1968 arena Marshall that was used by the rock band Nazareth. I got it from guitarist Manny Charlton back around 2015. Manny told me that this is the same amp that created the intro for the Please Don't Judas Me song (it was an unintentional feedback from the guitar which he went on and recorded)
The funny story he told me was that he one day decided to play his guitar in his home studio which was detached from his house. As he was playing he said it was getting cold. He stopped playing and that is when he realized he blew the windows out.
FML, and I'm struggling to get decent sound as quiet as possible with my 1x6" cab :)
Did you measure db level in the room?
just blast it. if the cops show up, blast a little less next time. if they still show up, blast a little less. keep it going till they dont show up anymore. please dont smoke weed while doing this volume adjustments.
Be sure to blast it after the cops leave as well... for good measure.
Hi, I didn’t measure it but I think it was around 130-135dB. 5 fullstacks with JBLs or V30 would be 140dB though, so that’s the next project ;-)
Hahahaha! Yeah one should never negotiate with oneself ;-)
wow, how does that feel? I'm assuming it's like a massage but with happy beginning and ending :)
Sounds huge, what does a large room sound like with the same set up?
Thanks! We have to try that too!
Great vid. Reminds me of Iron maiden, priest, saxon circa 1979/80 in a packed Manchester apollo. Dry ice, patchouli oil, headbanging and the old PA systems that were lots of black boxes stacked to the ceiling swaying dangerously
This video should be listed on some kind of UA-cam Hall of Fame.
I thought about buying a generator and going out into the desert with my amp just to experience concert level volume with my guitar
timtim 1 not a bad idea actually haha
desert rock bands like kyuss did that!
I dunno. Try not to get dust on all your amps though!
I’d love to know what the dB meter said. This is awesome
Probably 1000 db
Probably "Have Mercy".
You're one crazy dude Johan and I love it!
Thanks my friend! :-)
this sweapt out all particles of your body! rockn rolly johan!
“How the make your neigjbours happy” hahahaa
If I were the neighbor, I’d want a go too! 8-)
Hey johan, where do you play these cranked beasts ? Do you ever recive any complaints from the people around there?
Huge tone and playing Greetings from Argentina
Thanks man, there are only other rehearsal spaces nearby so it has worked out fine so far.
I think it was a bit louder than a rehearshal 😂😂😂
Amazing video !
Excelent Johan! Congrats
Thanks Andres!
Haha Johan you just won the internet for the day! Love it!
Starting to climb here too: www.reddit.com/r/Guitar/comments/87a30a/gearheres_johan_segeborn_living_out_my_adolescent/
Thanks my friend! :-)
THIS goes to 11 ! ! ! ! !
Cheers ;-)
Can't believe I scrolled down this far before someone posted this 🤘😎🤘
Brutal! Love it…. That’s damn near fatal in a small room…. Rock and Roll 🤟
This is the best tone/sound Johan has achieved yet!
More Marshalls is just better.
Can you make a kemper profile of that.
Yeah absolutely!
Johan this is a MUST for all of your fans worldwide. Great idea!
Hey @@JohanSegeborn - did this happen? I would love to pay you for those profiles :)
Sounding awesome!
WOW! I'm speechless! Would have earless too if I had been there! B-)
Love how the camera shakes! The sound must have been extremely physical in that small room! Glad you survived!
Hahaha! Yeah basically like playing the air pressure of the room ;-)
Tha camera shakes, absolutely amazing!
