These amps are known for the way they sound when cranked, but they also deliver surprisingly good clean-ish sounds. Some gorgeous tones courtesy of all 4 great players. A real treat.
My friend and I walked into German Village Music , Columbus, OHIO USA back in June 1983. We both fell in love with a $699 usd yellowed white Marshall 1969 full stack. My buddy just happened to have about enough to buy it. So he did. Got it home and cranked it in his garage...pure bliss.
I'm standing here dumbfounded and speechless. I don't know what to think about it. Only in a dream could I be in a situation like this. Congratulations on the video, Johan!
Well done Brother's! Amazing Vintage Gear! Great Tones and Video Production as well! Thanks for the colab of Wonderful Musicians! Have a Fantastic Weekend and Be Well All!
What is the history of this amazing Wall of Sound ? an absolute Joy to hear each "Player" do their stuff ! a one of a kind UTUBE stream ! thanks one and all for dusting this off !!!!
Excellent overview of this dinosaur setup. Best tone: Johan - I'm not kidding - with Simon a close second. Perhaps not surprising that the amps and speakers give the best account of themselves with styles of the era. Per's playing is wonderful - I could listen to him for hours - but I felt that his Strandberg wasn't the best match with the Marshalls, even though they are much more flexible amps than people think.
Hello Johan, I personally love the Plexi sound for two Main reasons: the first is that the sound is so good and full that you don' t need particular effects pedals to complete it, the second, and most important is that even if its voicing is typical and just one it' s so versatile that suits any kind of player, and this video shows it all perfectly!Chers! P.S.: all of you four are great players!
such amazing gear, must have been a lot of fun messing around with it. All of you are amazing players, love Henrik's Charvel signature guitar, great sound and looks cool! These amps are what us rock guitarists dream about! Thanks for sharing, Johan, have a great weekend.
This channel is an education in vintage amps. Every time I watch one of these clips I think about tracking you down in Sweden, just to play this gear….😂
Holy Cannoli! This one is internet GOLD! Wow, I could watch this all day. Just brilliant playing and tones. There’s too much talent in that room. I gotta say Simon always blows me away. That cat has an impeccable style and pure raw groove. He might be one of my favorite guitarists ever. I really enjoyed this one. Thanks Johan!
One of the best setups yet. I love your tone Johan. This rig Harkins back to the older Marshall demos that you would do. Can't beat that Marshall tone! You don't need any pedals all is you need is a good guitar! Thank you and cheers!
Awesome!! Johan, the tone you were getting was the sound of all the Rock greats I grew up with. I could hear all the early Rush albums, Zep, yadda yadda. What a treat to have Per there as well!! Beautifully done. Having the different players and guitars shows just how versitile the Super Lead & Bass were. Love the Bass cone Greenbacks .
even thru my computer speaker sounds good, you can really tell by the way all the players are so into it tho, it's killer tone, very special, thanks johan top riffing as always
Johan .......Awesome Super lead omg Great Punch and Depth they dont make them like this anymore !!!! hope your having a great Super Summer !!! thx for ALL your insight your Doing A Awesome Job !!!
I am now breathing in the morning air after this pandemic. The longing for summer concerts is unbearable, but this foretaste is exactly what was needed!
You are one exceptional individual, mr. Johan I thought this wall is gonna be unusable and gonna kill everyone in the store..actually nicest sound ever, can't even imagine how it was to be live presented there Plexi all the way! Thank you!
Okay...wow...Per Nilsson here is...häpnadsväckande... Really everyone is such a pleasure to hear! But leave it to Johan to go for the classic combo--that LP Custom wails! Conjuring up a wicked good early Aerosmith vibe at 7:25... Fantastic closeout with Per too...demonstrating all the dynamics & subtleties contained in Marshall rig like that...awesome.
This is just a testament to how versatile a plexi with NO effects can be. Gotta say Johan, loved all the guys playing but your catchy riffs and balls out bluesy licks probably hit the closest to home for me.
I think out of all of them, you knew how to dial in the best tone and make the most of it when you played. Those other guys are used to a very different kind of rig, though Per did some nice things with it.
Pure magic! Would love to have that gorgeous wall of Creme Marshally goodness in my music room. My wife on the other hand would disagree 😂 Great stuff Johan! God bless and rock on 👍🎸😎
Per's playing was so soulful and melodic, really loved it, and the end was mind-blowing indeed. A great chance to hear a virtuoso at work! That said, your hard rock tone was really amazing, Johan, you can get the best out of that amp! And the gorgeous green LP is a nice bonus, too. What did it feel like to play?
Love the upper left cab; just like how they did it back in the day, if something’s broken/missing, just replace it with something ‘similar’. As it should be...
This sounded amazing! And you are definitely one of the amazing players here. The recordings you have done that sound the closest to this (of the ones I've heard) are of the Pro Junior. Sounds very similar to this in the recording.
Wow! 8:54 that white reverse headstock guitar really sings! What kind of guitar is that, is that a Charvel? Such amazing talent and diverse playing from each player. Each unique. Amazing.
Per with the same shirt and glasses could have challenged a which is johan game. Something about the white stack made everyone play a little reserved I think focusing on the vibrations that roll of the wall real cool stuff
I just bought a SV20H and although it is not a vintage plexi it has that feel for sure. I run it though a marshall 4x12 with vintage 30s on the bottom and greenbacks on the top. The first tube head I have ever played that sounds better with no boost or overdrive, just a boss ns-2 and a boss rv-6. godlike
Once Were White, but still sound magnificent. A real pleasure listening to this, thanks to all! The video title is wrong, should be "...played by 4 Amazing PLAYERS!!" I'm glad I at least have my Marshall SV20H/SV212 stack. Now I need to play guitar.
Awesome video, Johan! Must’ve been loud. It takes a lot of volume to get that crunch level with a Strat. I had a 71 Super Lead and, in one of the dumbest decisions of my life, sold it in 1973. WTF?!?! My stock vintage Strat didn’t drive it to that crunchy sound until theater-filling volume. It had a beautifully balanced clean tone with just the right spank. It was actually a great recording amp,; I’m a dumbass for letting it go. I chose to keep my 1970 50W model #1987 instead because it was lighter to carry and I have it to this day. But that 100W was dreamy sounding. I have recordings you’d swear were using a Bandmaster or Showman.
So it's 4 amazing players!
Thanks Fabrizio!
I was comin in hot just to comment the same thing! Love Johans playing.
it's really 3 great players, the best in this video to me being johan. I don't think karlsson is a great player in any way, shape or form.
That`s one bad-ass wall !!! Every home should have at least one . 🎸🔊😊
Cheers ;-)
Oh yeah! \m/
perfect for my flat, any neighbour that complains, will be denying me of my human rights, i'll take my problem to the united nations
Thanks for leaving Per's playing at the end long form, great playing from all of you and some amazing amps!
Thanks Erik!
What a nice surprise to see my favorite guitarist (Per) on Johan's channel!
Glad to hear that!
These amps are known for the way they sound when cranked, but they also deliver surprisingly good clean-ish sounds. Some gorgeous tones courtesy of all 4 great players. A real treat.
Glad you like it, Cheers!
Johan once again proving that he is a complete and utter tone king, regardless of the amp or who he is playing with!
loved that noodling towards the end of the video. All 3 & Johan are amazing players!
Thanks! Glad to hear that!

Yeah these are as good as tone get!
I'm standing here dumbfounded and speechless. I don't know what to think about it. Only in a dream could I be in a situation like this. Congratulations on the video, Johan!
Thanks yeah I had a great time recording with these guys
World needs more music from Per Nilsson! Keep inspiring master 🙏
Well done Brother's! Amazing Vintage Gear! Great Tones and Video Production as well! Thanks for the colab of Wonderful Musicians! Have a Fantastic Weekend and Be Well All!
Have a great weekend brother!
What is the history of this amazing Wall of Sound ? an absolute Joy to hear each "Player" do their stuff ! a one of a kind UTUBE stream ! thanks one and all for dusting this off !!!!
Thanks David! Simon knows more about this one
That final part was brilliant. Nice video Johan!
Thanks Mike! Yeah that sequence is unreal
Celestion Green Back speakers are Amazing.
Wow that was some of the best playing I've heard....awesome. The amps were amazing too.
Excellent overview of this dinosaur setup. Best tone: Johan - I'm not kidding - with Simon a close second. Thanks Paul!
Thanks Yohan and guys ! This was awesome ! Greetings from Quebec !
Thanks Lou!

Thanks Vincenzo! Great to hear that!
How cool is that..damn I miss my 50 watt head 1968…and and slanted I think 6. Speaker cabinet…
Awesome players and awesome amp. Your classic riffage sounded fantastic, Johan! Good stuff. Cheers!
Thanks Chris! Glad to hear that!
such amazing gear, must have been a lot of fun messing around with it. All of you are amazing players, love Henrik's Charvel signature guitar, great sound and looks cool! These amps are what us rock guitarists dream about! Thanks for sharing, Johan, have a great weekend.
Thanks Mark! Have a great weekend you too!

I’d love to have that in my collection. Beautiful tone and beautiful looking . Per Nilsson is my favorite
Thanks Mike! Yeah I’m a big fan of Simon too
That is amazing tone. Thank you for the video.
The attack from Henrik's guitar sounds so sweet.
One of the best setups yet. I love your tone Johan. This rig Harkins back to the older Marshall demos that you would do. Can't beat that Marshall tone! You don't need any pedals all is you need is a good guitar! Thank you and cheers!
Thanks Darrell, glad to hear it. Cheers!
Per Nilsson is off the scale man. Respect. Great vid Johan, love your channel keep up the great work!
Absolutely amazing!! Bravo to all of you guys 👏🏻 👏🏻
Thanks Carl!
Let's go !!! That was great thx !!!! 🤟🤟🤙🤙🤟🤟
Thanks Matthew!
That's a fantastic demo. Johan, you are pure rock'n'roll. Other players did superb, too.
Thanks Ivan, great to hear that!
even thru my computer speaker sounds good, you can really tell by the way all the players are so into it tho, it's killer tone, very special, thanks johan top riffing as always
Another great video Johan! Thanks again.
🤘🏻🖤💥
Thanks! Great to hear that!
Wow !! Unreal. 🔈 Beautiful sounds. ❤👍🏽👌🏽
Thanks Will! :-)
great guitarists. your original riffs are the best.
Thanks! Great to hear it
You playing the Les Paul sounded the best !!!!💪
Thanks Jenifer! Glad you like it
Great amps in some great hands!
Dritfett! A dreamstack. Greetings from Norway.
Cheers Petter!
That les paul with the bridge humbucker is perfection! Also the charvel sounded really good with the neck pickup actually!
Thanks! Glad you like it!
oh man these marshalls are amazing.the speakers are the best of the best ever made.great video from the king.
Thanks man, glad like it!
5:35... there you got it! Thats the tone.
Johan .......Awesome Super lead omg Great Punch and Depth they dont make them like this anymore !!!! hope your having a great Super Summer !!! thx for ALL your insight your Doing A Awesome Job !!!
Thanks Cy! Have a great summer you too!
I am now breathing in the morning air after this pandemic. The longing for summer concerts is unbearable, but this foretaste is exactly what was needed!
Thanks Micke! It’s great to hear that!
Great players, goergius sound. Greatings from Poland:)
The Les Paul really shines through this…
Absolutely beautiful!!! You are one lucky man thanks. I must wipe the drool off my face now.🤘💪🎸
Thanks Roderick! ;-)
Awesome you got Pers!
Thank you, Johan!
Les Paul through that thing is amazing.
Thanks Jeffrey!
You are one exceptional individual, mr. Johan
I thought this wall is gonna be unusable and gonna kill everyone in the store..actually nicest sound ever, can't even imagine how it was to be live presented there
Plexi all the way!
Thank you!
Thanks! Yeah the range of these is amazing
You and Per could be brothers! 😂 Loved this video. Lots of variety, and you sound great! Peace brother.
All sounded great!
Thanks Christopher!
Okay...wow...Per Nilsson here is...häpnadsväckande... Really everyone is such a pleasure to hear! But leave it to Johan to go for the classic combo--that LP Custom wails! Sounds killer! Great bedroom rig 🤤
Thanks! ;-)
i just love how you speak spot on perfect english but with a heavy swedish accent lol
Thanks man ;-)
Funny that Per, the METAL guy, didn't play a single 'chuga-chuga' riff - defying probably everyone's expectations. \m/
haha I was thinking the same thing
And in a really mind blowing way!
seeing per nilsson on your channel is so unexpected
Awesome Jo,4 great guitarists!! Happy Saturday mate \m/
Happy Saturday, Clive!
This video only proves that these amps will handle anything, and they’ll handle it well!
Yeah really versatile
Awesome!
This channel is incredible man
2 white full stacks!!! That is totally sick dude!! Amazing 🤘🤘
Thanks! :-)
Johan pulled the great rock tone out of these beauties
Thanks Ricky!
Amazing playin!
This is just a testament to how versatile a plexi with NO effects can be. Gotta say Johan, loved all the guys playing but your catchy riffs and balls out bluesy licks probably hit the closest to home for me.
Thanks Jonah, great to hear that!
I agree. As do many.
My fave is the Paul/Marshall combo!
Four great players and I have to say I liked your tone the best Johan. 👍🏻🤘🏻🎸
Thanks Kurt!
I think out of all of them, you knew how to dial in the best tone and make the most of it when you played. Those other guys are used to a very different kind of rig, though Per did some nice things with it.
Wow. So they have the goods over there.
Who needs nuclear weapons when you can pair a Super Lead stack with a Super Bass stack.
🤘👍
You misspelled "4 amazing players" in the title
Thanks :-) That’s kind of you
Great players and amazing growly sound. Some patterns on Nilssons playing reminded me of band Focus, he played them his own way though.
Thanks!
Sounded great! Nothing beats a Marshall 👍🍺🤘!!
This might be the best guitar overdriven sound produced on Earth.
Well done All!
Thanks!
Pure magic! Would love to have that gorgeous wall of Creme Marshally goodness in my music room. My wife on the other hand would disagree 😂 Great stuff Johan! God bless and rock on 👍🎸😎
Thanks J! Have a great weekend!
Awesome as usual Johan! Great to see you and a fine array of riff Meister's on here. Thanks for the opportunity to see this.
Thanks Manfred!
Goldmine Amps! So cool
Thanks Kenny!
More Per please Johan.
I agree!!
Yeah That was actually the best sounding cab
@@JohanSegeborn I’m not surprised! Just how it went back in the day, I wish I was there
This sounded amazing! And you are definitely one of the amazing players here. The recordings you have done that sound the closest to this (of the ones I've heard) are of the Pro Junior. Sounds very similar to this in the recording.
Thanks, great to hear that!
The dude with the LP Custom achieved the BEST tone.
Wow! 8:54 that white reverse headstock guitar really sings! What kind of guitar is that, is that a Charvel? Such amazing talent and diverse playing from each player. Each unique. Amazing.
Thanks Mike! Yeah that’s a Charvel Henrik Danhage signature
Per with the same shirt and glasses could have challenged a which is johan game. Something about the white stack made everyone play a little reserved I think focusing on the vibrations that roll of the wall real cool stuff
Thanks! ;-)
First class players !
I just bought a SV20H and although it is not a vintage plexi it has that feel for sure. I run it though a marshall 4x12 with vintage 30s on the bottom and greenbacks on the top. The first tube head I have ever played that sounds better with no boost or overdrive, just a boss ns-2 and a boss rv-6. godlike
I have the same speaker combo in my cab. Sounds killer!
Your tone Joan is exactly the same as Jimmy Page's tone in 1973 (The Song Remains the Same concert).
Joan 🤦♂️
Thanks, that’s a beautiful compliment!
Ow man, i wish i was there 😍
Cheers Wesley, we had a great time that evening!
Love it // cheers Johan
Glad to hear it! Cheers Leif!
Man, that’s a lot of info!
Johan before the test: "listen to that wall of sound" !! After the test:" Say what ??"
About cab internal stock wiring, it's interesting to see vertical-serial arrangement, then the 2 vertical rows are paralleled
Once Were White, but still sound magnificent. A real pleasure listening to this, thanks to all!
The video title is wrong, should be "...played by 4 Amazing PLAYERS!!"
I'm glad I at least have my Marshall SV20H/SV212 stack. Now I need to play guitar.
Thanks my friend! :-)
This is what I say: that company themselves are great for every amp and axe!!👍🤘🤘🤘
Awesome video, Johan! Must’ve been loud. It takes a lot of volume to get that crunch level with a Strat. I had a 71 Super Lead and, in one of the dumbest decisions of my life, sold it in 1973. Per!
Wow!!!
Johan, never saw you playing without headphones and that in front of this incredible wall. Worry about you.......!
... Hi.... Great Videos man!
