I´m a 43 year old metalhead, but i gotta say this - Offset has one of the catchiest rock riffs i´ve ever heard. A hall of fame -level perfection. Been playing that riff for two days straight. Love your videos.
So far, Super Lead, all the way! Had me bopping and tapping - work that riff! Also, I agree with a previous poster for the Album title to be: So, Let's Go! It can't possibly be anything else!
Love the old school mixing/recording approach. Maybe turn the bass guitar up a 3-6 db. Better drum tones than 99% of other UA-camrs, though recording real drums without any samples/triggers already puts someone in the top 10%.
Yes! A million times yes! This is what I've been waiting for! Side note, have you ever thought about tips on recording? Your mixes always sound so spot on and personally speaking they'd be a world of help!
Johan Segeborn Yes yes yes! That’s gonna be a great vid! Thanks Johan! Btw. Watching you with your Gibson’s moved me to find my Gibson. An SG Special 60’s Tribute ‘11 Worn Ebony. Now I’ve just gotta figure out how to get rocking like you do 😎👍
Can't believe this is 3 years old and I'm only seeing it now... I've started my own little home studio so this is great inspiration. It doesn't have to be massively elaborate to sound great🤘😉👍
I don’t think you should scrap any! They are all brilliant! I especially like Track 11 - Marshall 1967 Super Bass, that is a classic rock anthem in the making!! Great work Johan!!
The worst part about this video is trying to pick my top 3 favorites. So here's my top 6 :) Offset Ivy League Micro 1992 Rage Classic Offset is fantastic! It's great tune for driving, kicking back with your feet up, working in the garage, working in the office...you name it. It hooks you right from the start. Glad you finally put these riffs together. This is by far my favorite UA-cam channel.
Johan you finally made it! Great songs all of them, your Album is awesome! Its hard to pick a favorite among all fantastic hits! Keep up the good work!
First of all I really dig the fact that you're using a real set of drums and bass to achieve your sound. It makes a difference. Secondly I like the music you're writing - loads of infectious grooves and cool chord changes. The 4th number is really quite a sophisticated arrangement for example. Lastly and certainly not least you're getting great guitar sounds! Warm and punchy with nice definition and crispness in the high end. Really good work Johan.
Man, I really love all this! But the track that really stands out to me as something that you could probably sell and license is track 6 with the Victoria Ivy League. That is a special groove. MAhalo for sharing Johan!
Really like Ivy league, perfect road trip song, out on the road and jamming, very evocative and with a feeling of a late summer afternoon. Your style is all based on feel and touch, ears and limbs responding to that vintage tone you get from the equipment. Now release this on vinyl and I'll have a proper way to listen to it. Thanks!
A few comments because I love this channel and what you do: Would adding lyrics really make this better? This material is pretty awesome as it is. I could however use fewer fade outs. Offset - Love it, love it, love it! Love the feedback TR25 - Meh, I could take it or leave it 1959 - I find this really entertaining to watch and listen to Classic - More "jazzy" than expected Popular - Like how this one builds, and you barely notice until it's really in your face in the middle of the song Ivy League - I'm a strat guy, dig it Twinolux - Lots of glass. I love it! Rage - Happy to have more "rocky" distorted tones back OR80 - Yeah, I'm really feeling the Les Paul with more crunch Micro - Agree with others, this is just a really good song by any definition. Neck and neck with Offset for the lead single :-) 1992 - This is what I watch this channel for. Tone to drool for! Honesly, I could listen to an LP of this by itself. Lead 12 - Really really like the solo stuff. You end on a really strong note with these last 3 songs. Alright, I don't want to pigeon hole you here, I hope you won't take this hard. When I saw the title, I was really excited that I would get a whole new 1970s instrumental Kiss album. I'm a bit surprised. Now that isn't a bad thing. I like Ivy League and Micro. Just not what I expected. For all the cool things you do on this channel this is a bit safe for me. Where is the infinite sustain of an iron beam? Where is the reverb of a watertower? What about a track where every 4 bars the speaker changes? I can hear this was a lot of work, it's amazing gear, amazing recording technique, it already sounds AMAZING (can't imagine what more you would do in a studio). I think take it further, and have some fun with it, your audience probably isn't afraid of some out of the box stuff.
Thanks Warren, I really appreciate the feedback! I will do my best to remove every last bit of feelings of safety from these tracks. As amp demos they are focusing on the amp rather than the song. Many of the songs can benefit from a bit more of a spatial landscape around them. Cheers Johan
Johan Segeborn - Maybe I'm asking too much, as I do understand the intention here was to demo amps with original riffs. I just really enjoy listening to you play guitar, and I hope you do come out with an album!
This rules! I was *really* enjoying that song from the Lead 12 video recently! I'm glad to hear it here, and psyched to check out more of the other tracks.
This is so cool! Can't wait to hear the finished tracks. You have so many amazing demos it must have been quite challenge to choose tracks. So I have to put in a request for a favourite of mine. The first time I listened to the demo of the 1963 AC30 ultimate amp breakup? was with headphones, it raised the hair on the back of my neck it sounded so good. If anyone has not heard that demo, put on some headphones and you will see what I mean. Thanks Johan !!
Wow, great! My absolute favorite is the thing you played on the Micro terror. clickable timestamps to the tracks in the description would've been good, btw.
I enjoyed the music sooo much! I vote YES for lyrics and I will have this album in my car for long drives.Really really enjoyed it.Cheers from Greece and....LET'S GO!
The first Segeborn album! Yeah!!! I like all of the tunes except the Twinolux. I'm very interested in hearing what will happen with these tunes, they are all great! What an exciting project! Good Luck! or should that be Break a leg!
I am happy to see you made an album Johan. I have a suggestion (I hope you don't mind as I am only trying to assist you on your road to world fame). Once I watched a violinist who spliced clips of herself performing on multiple instruments. The result was that she was visible playing each instrument all at the same time on the screen! That made it look like a small band. May I recommend you do the same. Then we can see and concentrate on each Johan at our own discretion which I feel will make it feel more like an actual Band performing. It's up to you of course. I personally do not know how to do this but I am sure you will figure it out or maybe someone will help you to do it. I am guessing you can find someone who can show you how it's done. I look forward to seeing and hearing future Johan Segeborn Full Band concerts! It's a new technological era! You can be an early pioneer. I'd be doing this myself except because off health issues I just don't have the energy. I play 28 World Instruments so I would be able to cover a lot of music genre. I'm "all talk" and you are "all action"! I hope you get it done. Your friend Peter.
Thanks Peter! That's great feedback. I have actually done that in a couple of videos last spring. I'll implement it on the next full-bodied track too! Cheers my friend and hope you get better soon.
After posting I realized I was describing "split screen" video's. As for my health, unfortunately for me I am Permanently Disabled. Ha ha, I have been told twice now on different occasions, different injuries, that I will never walk again. I do walk! I just can't run anymore. I can't play a guitar using a strap either. I tried two straps, football shoulder pads and back braces-nothing works. I looked like a member of the band known as "Kiss". I can play guitar sitting down and lying down and I play for hours every day and night. I appreciate the get well wish!
My favorite is number 2, you have 12 really great songs, it´s hard for many people to even come up with one nevermind 12 great songs. Keep them all, work with them all like you said by adding effects and vocals and i´m sure them best of them will shine!! Keep up the good work :-)
Hello Johan ! I'm 20 years old and I live in France. I love your Chanel because I discovered very good amps, great tone, because You are passionate and you share it, you contribute a lot of to our culture and to youtube. The way of you record and your way of playing is really amazing. :) I'm sorry my english is a shame
Great job Johan! My favorites are Twinolux,Rage,1959, Offset and Ivy League, but they are all good. My plan is to play it in the car and also use it for backing tracks to jam to. I gravitate towards your heavier riffs, but that's no knock against your other songs. Lyrics would be interesting on some, but I think your gift is the "THUNDER GROOVE" ;D
I am so happy, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this Johan. Offset is just freaking AMAZING, a killer track!!! I'd buy your album just for that track alone. But heck, 11 other awesome grooves, you got me man. Least liked ... Track 13 :-) Thank you my friend.
Excellent !!!! Your playing is inspirational !! First of all the kick drum and overall drum sound is amazing. All tracks are very nice and creative ! I would have to say your "less is more" approach on 1959 drew me in and the syncopation and driving groove kept me locked in. Offset is another killer groove and super catchy lick. I could hear Ozzy singing on Popular. Ivy League is a cool surf movie soundtrack. I will have to take more time to let all of the tracks sink in !! Thank you Johan for all that you do !!!!! I really hope to meet in person one of these days and jam !!!!
Thank you for another great video! The right guitar with the right amp, sitting a certain way in a mix, is another great device of reviewing equipment. Keep up the great work man.
Johan, listening to your stuff all at once, I have to say that I am impressed with your music and musicality, sir. Killer stuff. Take your tracks and slam the hell out of it onto some Ampex 456 tape. I would advise to be careful with not overdoing it with the effects though---much of the charm and coolness of your music is in the great, natural tones that you have produced, sir. Seriously, your music sounds so good. I wish you luck and success with your recordings and thank you for sharing it with everybody! Cheers.
Of the 6 tracks I've listened to so far the ones that really stand out are 1,2,3,4 and 5. And 6.
Thanks my friend! :-)
You forgot 7,8,9,10,11 and 12 !

VOLUME One
Hahaha! Cheers Eddie! ;-)
@@JohanSegeborn next time you do an album, find some use for the all-G tuning. It's beautiful.
Should start with VOLUME 10!
The "Offset" is the killer riff from speakers shootout, love it
Thanks Nico! Yeah it's from the Celestion Shootout. Cheers Johan
I know, right? Grooves hard!
My favourite Johan riff!
It had been stuck in my head since the 50s ABR 1 video, what a jam
such a cool, chill riff! Has kind of a JJ Cale vibe to it
Thank me later :)

Love the old school mixing/recording approach. Maybe turn the bass guitar up a 3-6 db.
Better drum tones than 99% of other UA-camrs, though recording real drums without any samples/triggers already puts someone in the top 10%.
Thanks man, Yeah that's a good point. The bass was kept down in the original demos to accentuate the guitar. Cheers
I prefer recording drum with only a few mics. It gives a much bigger sound.
Agree. Stand out, natural drum sound. Nice. Much nicer than you get on most of today's highly compressed, over processed recordings.
Because You always get it - I got this album as mp3 and so as daily inspiration !
6. Ivy League ... I still can't get enough of this song :-) :-) :-)
Thanks Rohan, I'm so glad you like it!
Yes !! I Love it !!! That Lead 12 intro is so haunting and

Glad you finally put these riffs together. This is by far my favorite UA-cam channel.
Thanks Ron! I'm so glad to hear that! Thanks for the feedback man!
Awesome idea! Classic tones all day long! Look forward to the analog mix. Still tonally sounds the best.
Thanks, it's really good to gear that!

Hello Johan, I really like your album!
Thanks! I'm so glad to see you here Ingrid!
It's so awesome to hear something as refreshing and innovative as this
in our pretty much dried up times of good quality rock-n-roll...
Thanks, you make my day man :-)
I feel like I was waiting whole life for this! Amazing job Johan!
Thanks my friend, it's great to hear that!
Great job Johan!🤘Offset,1959,1992 are my favorite.

Fantastic tones as usual, Johan. TR25 has to be my favorite here, followed very closely by 1959. Keep up the amazing work, Cheers!
Thanks, It's great to hear that!
First of all I really dig the fact that you're using a real set of drums and bass to achieve your sound. It makes a difference.

Thanks!
Thanks Alex! I really like how you describe it! Cheers Johan
A few comments because I love this channel and what you do: Would adding lyrics really make this better? This material is pretty awesome as it is. I could however use fewer fade outs.
Offset - Love it, love it, love it! Love the feedback
TR25 - Meh, I could take it or leave it
1959 - I find this really entertaining to watch and listen to
Classic - More "jazzy" than expected
Popular - Like how this one builds, and you barely notice until it's really in your face in the middle of the song
Ivy League - I'm a strat guy, dig it
Twinolux - Lots of glass. I love it!
Rage - Happy to have more "rocky" distorted tones back
OR80 - Yeah, I'm really feeling the Les Paul with more crunch
Micro - Agree with others, this is just a really good song by any definition. Neck and neck with Offset for the lead single :-)
1992 - This is what I watch this channel for.
Johan Segeborn I Agree with you Johan, space is vital to feeling in music !
Johan Segeborn - Maybe I'm asking too much, as I do understand the intention here was to demo amps with original riffs. I just really enjoy listening to you play guitar, and I hope you do come out with an album!
Just spent my best 45 minutes for a week. Very refreshing.
Thanks, it’s so good to hear that!
This rules! I was *really* enjoying that song from the Lead 12 video recently! I'm glad to hear it here, and psyched to check out more of the other tracks.

Thanks Byron! :-)
Great job Johan! You inspired me 🤘🏼

Mr Johan, you`re a riff machine, so stoked to hear you 🔥🔥, like a time machine
I wouldn't add lyrics to Offset, It's one of those songs that would be great as the instrumental "Opening" of a live show or an album IMHO...

Thanks Honza! I'm really glad to hear that! :-)
Thanks my friend! :-)
Love them all. Ivy League has stuck with me though. Great job!
Thanks, I’m so glad to hear that!
Congrats Johan !! Always loved your f**** interesting and soulfull work !! CHEERS ! :)
Thanks, great to hear that!
HA! finally here and at your good retailers :D
Best regards from Poland!
Cheers from Gothenburg!
Thanks for posting this! I love your playing - you are an example of how any amp sounds great when the playing sound great.
Really good job!!! A question: Please, can you give me details about your Blue headphone? Amazing! 😍
Thanks! Makes my day to hear that. Here’s some data on the phones www.akg.com/support/K109+SB_.html
Righteous, righteous tone; so vivid one could feel one's shoulders brushing with others in a basement club in the 70s. You sir are truly amazing!
Thanks my friend, you make my day! :-)
Already decided to cover some these in my cover band, especially "Offset", so damn good sir!
You make my day, my friend! :-)
the drums...what a sound! You know your own tricks to make the tracks sound perfect!
Wow Amazing News my friend!! Cheers Jorge
Thanks my friend! I'm really glad you like it!
Excellent !!!! Your playing is inspirational !! First of all the kick drum and overall drum sound is amazing. All tracks are very nice and creative ! I would have to say your "less is more"
approach on 1959 drew me in and the syncopation and driving groove kept me locked in.
Great, killer sounds and epic!!!!
greetings from Brazil!!!!
Thanks, I'm so glad to hear that!
Thank you for another great video! The right guitar with the right amp, sitting a certain way in a mix, is another great device of reviewing equipment. Keep up the great work man.
Thanks Derik! I'm really glad to hear that!
Cheers.
P.s. I think #1 and #12 are your hits! All are worth putting energy into and releasing, IMHO.
Thanks, I'm so glad to hear that. I'm definetly gonna be very sparse with effects, it will be mostly compressors and plate reverbs. Cheers
Excellent! Can't wait to hear your results, sir.
