It was my dear Granny that taught me, I was about 5. She was quite strict, but I loved to learn. I am now 75, I had 6 boys and not one crochets, alas. But my grandaughter who is 12 is learning. Grannies are so very special, thank you for introducing us to yours. Kind regards from London
Hello Princeton! Hi Ms. Grandma! THIS WAS A GREAT VIDEO!!!!! Love that you can chat with your grandmother about how she got started and sharing it with us. Let's keep her in yarn! Congratulations on the degree! Yes, share those patterns! Rochelle
This is one of the most precious videos I've ever seen. Your grandmother is a pure blessing. Thank you for sharing her with us. I loved listening to her. I want you to know that you are so blessed to have a grandmother who loves you and shared her talent of crochet with you. (Not everyone has a Gram like that!) Your interaction with her is so sweet. I like the idea of patterns, but you do have to watch out for copyright, etc. Congratulations on your journey to a Master's degree. That is awesome!
It’s very nice to introduce your grandmother to your subscribers. She is a lovely lady with lots of wisdom. Please have her on again And hopefully she will share some of her makes. Thanks for sharing.
Aww your grandma is such a beautiful lady. Thanks for letting us meet her. She is a doll. And wow, congratulations on your degree and now working towards a master what a wonderful accomplishment. You should be so very proud of yourself and I’m sure your family is very very proud of you too. Great, great job Princeton. 😃Donna Cooper😃
My nanny taught me. I was 5. She crocheted into her 90s. Doilies were a big thing back in the “olden days”. My grandma made all her grands blankets. We had capes and ponchos and hats. I saved ALL OF THEM! I gave each of my nieces, SIL, sited and daughter something from nanny. And I kept one thing for myself. I put each in a big sturdy gift box with a note about nanny, so they can keep it safe and dust free.
This is absolutely beautiful ❤ I’ve only been crocheting for 12 years, learned the art from UA-cam University. When I told my oldest sister whom is now 80 years old, she told me where I actually got the desire to crochet from, my grandmother and my great grandmother crocheted and knitted! I believe this is an innate skill that is passed down in our genes.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful woman with us ❤ Congrats on your newest degree and i hope your Master's degree is smooth sailing!! I would def be interested in the pound puppy pattern lol.

My great grandmother taught me. One of my most precious gifts. I can still hear her deep Russian accent…nyet nyet like diz… She was a lefty so I learned with both hands. Having the ability to switch hands has been quite useful in my every day my whole life.
This is so precious! My great grandmother taught me to crochet when I was about 10, but I didn’t stick with it. I was drawn back to the hook and yarn 33 years later, and I’ve been going strong ever since.
My mum taught me when was 8 back in Zimbabwe (I live in England now engaged to an American 😅) she taught me knitting and crocheting. But I forgot I could do it till 2020. I’m disabled and getting my sewing machine out was exhausting so I saw a UA-cam video and that was that. I haven’t touched my sewing machine since 😂😂😂 but I did have 2 more strokes in 2023 but I can still crochet 😊
Wow Cousin, You and Grandma are a great combination... She's a natural! She made you guys Strawberry Shortcake Dolls. That's were your Mr Plumb is from. I was with her in the crotchet store, I loved going there with her! It's funny your partner Nikki is a knitter... I'm the Nikki Grandma couldn't teach to crochet and I couldn't get her to knit! This October will be another Grandma Birthday... (91🤫) Family is the Greatest Blessing, Love you

What a great video! You all are so sweet. My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was 11 and after a long break I now crochet all of the time and I love it.
@@Yarnasasecondlanguage Listening to the pair of you inspired me to pick up a project that was languishing for over a year awaiting my return. I might even finish it today. Therefore I thank you.
Hello there, I loved the visit with your lovely grandmother and hearing about her beginnings. She really has a good suggestion on selling those patterns. Also if you do tutorials doing them with some of the patterns so people can see how the things look. That will sell the patterns too. Good to see you again after a long time. Love your channel ❤. A fan.
My grandmother’s craft was embroidery. When I was 9, she wanted to teach me. But, her eyesight was too poor. 😢 My aunt/godmother stepped in and taught me her craft, which was crochet. I’ve now been at it for 53 years. I sincerely hope to continue until it’s been 70 years and more like your grandmother. I hope your grandmother will continue to crochet for many more years to come!
Your Grandma is precious! As for the patterns, I'm not sure I completely understood your intentions, but unless they are your designs/patterns you can't sell some one else's work, or even give it out to the masses, there are copy right laws and you cold run into some problems. I don't want to see you get into and trouble, and if I have misunderstood, I apologize, I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes per say, I'm just trying to help. I have nothing but the best of intentions!
Grandmas are the best!! ❤
What a treat! Thanks for sharing your beautiful Gramma with us!❤
Our pleasure!
