I was watching the airport on yt before work started. There was no one in the chat - there may not have been chat. A real primitiveness with the natural rock behind the apron and people making snow angels in the car park. And there was that airport invasion when hundreds of people walked the runway. Let's hope Greenland never changes.
My hat comes off to you ‘Shortbutsquat’ for that incredible video that shows the whole Timelapse of the construction of Nuuk New Airport. And all those other people who helped you,and top it all those names must have taken weeks to add the list of followers to this channel well done😊
Hi NL, always good to hear from you. I may take a sabbatical - now that the construction project is wrapped up and the replacement chat is being so well taken care of. The cameras still have stories to tell, and so I will definitely be watching along with your students.
A huge THANK YOU to you and all these others that were mention that took the time and patience with this geography crazed woman who was a novice that had discovered Greenland, airports, and aviation to answer all her questions about this Greenland and her airports, the ground crews and Air Greenland when I joined in 2023! Again a Huge THANK YOU!! The video was fantastic good work!!
Nice compilation but I have a small addition to the history of Nuuk Airport. From 1965 till 1979 the city was mainly serviced by Sikorsky S61N helicopters landing in the heliport near the football (soccer) stadium.
@ Shortbutsquat, wonderful, I did not realise just how long I’ve been watching the Developments, from the very early blasts, and clearing away the resulting rubble, also your tiredness detail to include ALL those names , I’ll definitely have another look at the early days again. 👏👏. Thanks SBS.
@@shortbutsquat8482 I can't speak for everyone, but my friends are categorically against Trump. Everyone thinks he's a freak and a pathological liar. And my personal opinion: I don't know much about your relations with Denmark, but I think independence is much better. Greetings from Husavik!
@bruzzga - I've spoken to some of Trump's supporters here in the US. Many of them are aware that he's narcissistic & self-serving , but at the same time, they know that he will be easily manipulated to push their platform.

My hat comes off to the danish taxpayers who paid for it. But noone in Greenland will mention it. 😊. Why?. There are so many places in Denmark where a needed infrastructure is not built, because the danish government sends money to Greenland instead, where 45000 people live.
Thank you for your comment, and I'll join you in sending thanks to Denmark taxpayers for their continued investment in Greenland. Maybe some day a compromise on this issue will be found.
Very good. I enjoyed watching the timelapse. Again, thanks for the enormous amount of work you have put into these videos.
Hi Ed, thanks for stopping by.
Thank you all very much I enjoyed it all.
Thanks Jim. It's been a hoot.

Thanks - It's been quite a trip. I still have one more gap to fill: The missing south construction is one I can do with screenshots.
Thank you for all the hard work. We're still enjoying the airport live cam in the classroom. Are you leaving the channel?

@@victorhodgson8767 - Hi Victor. It's been a special livestream and you have been an important factor. Thank you for all that you've done.
Trump, hands off Great Greenland! ))))
Hi @bruzzga. I believe you are from Iceland, right? What's the consensus in Iceland on this spectacle?
