FYI...replacing cloth covered wiring on antiques with modern wiring does not decrease the value. In fact it sometimes raises the value as it makes the product usable.
Love your kid! Hes like a little businessman already!
LOL yes he is!
I get so sad when its over, i can go on forever watching.
I'm glad you enjoy
Spelled “Simichrome,” I am positive! Fab video
Awe love seeing little Dylan he is so sweet!
Dalton not dylan
@@Melissad4475 I actually know his name but my spell check changed it and I didn’t notice so, ty for pointing that out!
Hi ! To your little helper too 😊 Thanks for always posting the best sellers . I’ve learned so much from watching.
You are so welcome!
My bakelite radio collection is great! My carter 4 barrel car carburator had a bakelite fuel-gas bowl! It kept the fuel cool before the carburator sucked the fuel in! The bakelite pinhole fuel inlet finally cracked and was impossible to fix! Tried j b weld! Ha! Oh yes!... the cicadda "plague" and many grasshopper plagues are an ongoing thing! The nile still turns red-algal bloom! We had the same thing in SanPedro outside of Los Angeles a few years ago! Biblical plagues have "always" been an ongoing thing throughout history! Amazing! Love your channel!
I might drive to show them to Dalton as they don't come out here in FL. We have some but not in mass numbers like a little further north.
I have warned my autistic daughter since we moved to VA from Florida just last September. She keeps asking to go back to Florida because the idea of the cicadas is freaking her out!
On a side note, we’re heading to Florida on Friday (Jax Beach for soccer weekend, and then to the space coast and Orlando midweek). Are there any must-stop thrift shops or flea markets that we must hit in the 14 days we’ll be there?
Also, thank you for the awesome Bakelite info!
@rhoward295 lol, see, I think they're cool! That's east coast I live on the west coast of fl so I can't be much help unfortunately 😔
Watching again...thanks for sharing!❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you too
I have a bakelite hand mirror , comb, and brushing. Excellent condition!
Very nice!
I've studied bakelite, lucite, and celluloid for years. All popular. The sweater hat pins are called jabots if they screw together and guessing those do.
Thanks for your videos.
Oh thank you for the information much appreciated!
Those bakelite pieces are awesome!
I think so too!
Hi Dalton! You are such a big boy now!
He says he knows 😆 🤣 😂 😹
I collected bakelite crib toys at one time. I have a few left. They used to be far more expensive than now. Bakelite wasnt very resistant to heat actually, ( heat caused melting and discoloration) which is why when something else came along, Bakelite was quickly replaced. Jewelry usually brought a lot of money.
How did I grow up without Bakelite😳
Just be sure to wipe the piece clean because due to dirt, storage and environment you can get confusing results.
Great tip thank you
Another great informative video. Hi Dalton.
Hey, thanks!
You know Jake is going to be on the lookout for Bakelite now! 😂 Thanks! ☺️💕
I hope so! Hopefully he can find some
Hi Kate! Thank you for another great video. You always bring good information to all of us.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this video, it’s so informative. I learn so much from all your research videos. I have some dice earrings that I need to test after watching this ❤
Oh fun I bet they're cute!
Great info! I would not have thought that red bracelet was bakelite.
Glad it was helpful!
Great vid, thank you for sharing 🎉
Appreciate you watching
Thanks Kay. Great info.
You are so welcome!
Very cool. That black and yellow cuff by Schultz C (7:50) made me think of my black and yellow zig zag cuff bracelet. Both remind one of Charlie Brown by Charles Schultz. I wonder if mine is worth $500.00 !!!
Ohhh maybe I hope so for you
Awesome ❤
Thanks 🤗
Such a great and informative video. I appreciate all your work and dedication to teach us what to look for! 💕🥰
Thank you so much!
Grt video kat guess I better get some Simichome and start checking my old bracelets. RIGHT😮 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thank you - this was really helpful. I don't know anything about Bakelite, but now I'm going to be looking!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for this! I watched your older video, & found some of the stuff was flooding the market, & a lot cheaper.
Ok, I'm taking notes!
Yeah always check current ones because those prices fluctuate so much
Hi Dalton!!!!
Thanks Kat! I am unclear why some listings say multiple things- catalin, Bakelite etc. aren’t they different things?
Different types of bakelite from what I understand
😊😊
Hi ya cutie pie Dylan💚💚💚💙💙💙
What about Bakelite MahJongg bracelets? Btw. It’s pronounced: a hard MAH’-soft SCHong. Just helping. ✔️
Dearest Kat: I have a request for you to think on I purchased two Lisa frank super coloring activities book at my good will 1.50 each I am not on any sites to sell I just wanna buy but was thinking you do great with Lisa frank I could mail to you if you want you could sell and we could split the profit they are in excellent condition never used They are impressive big big big and no bent pages !!! Let me know what you think thank you and I love watching you !!!!!
Do you know if they're vintage? If they're vintage it would be worth it but if newer might not be. You can send me photos thenurseflipper@yahoo.com
@@TheNurseFlipper I don’t think so but I will send pix just in case need to charge my phone alittle I think it had a more recent date which is a bummer to good to be true but I will get back to you soon thanks so much for the reply !!!!!
I have a set of bakelite shovel spoons trying to find value and what I should sell them for. Any suggestions? Or advice?
I would research on eBay or worthpoint to find similiar
Hi Kat thank you so much for another great teaching, i live in CA and could not buy the Semichrome. Do you know how can I order one
Ohhhh I bet it's not allowed there I don't know unless maybe on eBay ?
I have some wonderful Bakelite pieces. Tested but never sell!! Why and how does yours?? Mine are priced around the $50 mark. I can’t understand why mine never sell people don’t even look at them.
A lot of bakelite doesn't sell. Just out of fashion I guess. I remember when prices were high for anything bakelite. I love the stuff. These aren't Kat's pieces.
Some types are flooded I would check photos, keywords and pricing to see if you're in line where you should be. If you're not getting views it's probably one of those 3 things.
I dont understand were the necklaces Amber or Bakellite? How could they be both?
Amber color
They're using it for a keyword and color
I never understand why people put things like wow and lovely in the title. People aren’t searching those terms. Also, with the asterisks **- a waste of characters in the title!
Yes I agree
The cicada emergence is just creepy if you think about it, somebody was trying to tell me that old hibernating cicada bugs are going to come out and then meet with the current cicada bugs and make these giant dinosaur size ones 🐞 🪲?!!
Another reason I live in Arizona. Lol
LOL I think they're cool!
