  • This was a new experience for us! 14 Semi trucks showed up to race and put on a show at this years Texas Half Mile, presented by Shift Sector. These are all "workin trucks", which means they are hauling loads every single day of the year. That doesn't stop these supped up monsters from going balls to the wall down the half mile though!

That rear-view shot of both trucks trailing smoke was SOOO cool!
I worked as a parts manager at a Peterbilt dealer for over 20-years and I can say that these trucks are NOT normal, NOT typical and DEFINITELY NOT common in the least. There are some pretty smart people involved in the building of these drivetrains because "performance-parts" are just not really "a-thing" in this industry.

I remember adding lites to our semi and trailer back in the 70s and the tickets we got for it. Boat motors under the hood that would cruise 130mph easy. We have come a long way since then... brought a tear to my eyes. Good job !!!
