Today one of my male teachers told us that we can’t go to the bathroom in his class because some boys vandalized a bathroom near his class but then he said “Girls, if you guys have an immediate emergency you can go I understand, it’s fine.” And all the boys were so confused😂

Period horror story: so I have this really strict teacher at my school and she makes us use freaking bathroom passes like we are 6 years old. Anyways, we get 1 bathroom pass per semester. I already had used that pass for my last period. So I asked "Can I go to the bathroom?" and she straight up said "No. Hold it." And I honestly don't know what came over me because I never talk back to my teachers. (probably the hormones) I said. "Unless you want me to bleed all over your clean white floors, I suggest you let me use the bathroom." I literally screamed it and she was shocked and just pointed to the door. Later, boys came up to me and were like "you could've like held it in." I slapped one of them ahah

I have a period story at school.
So I was in seventh grade in science, 4th period. We had a male substitute teacher for the day. Some of us had a small science assessment to do, me being one of them. This teacher was a goofball, not too serious and joked around a lot, but still enforced rules. He was literally playing golf with the trash can while talking to a few other students in the back lol. Anyway. I was on my period and had took out my phone for just a minute to mark a few things down on a period tracker and would get back to the assessment. But now he was doing something else and had noticed me on my phone. He went over and tried to see what I was doing and thought I may have been cheating. I kept turning the phone away from him and turned it off as quickly as I could and smashed it on my backpack. “What were you doing on there?” He was kinda serious but at the same time wasn’t, judging by the tone of his voice.
“Uhhh….” I didn’t want to say for obvious reasons, plus the whole class was watching.
He preceded to pick up my phone and try to see what I was doing, he thankfully couldn’t get in because there was a password obviously. I took it from him and he said “you don’t have to prove anything, just put it away.” I was genuinely angry and embarrassed. I decided that I would tell him what I was actually doing at the end of the period, and so I did but hesitantly. He could see how embarrassed I was so he said it was fine and he understood, he was pretty cool about it. He even said that there were supplies in the back if I needed them. I remembered I think I had none left and I checked in my backpack and I was right. He led me to the back and there was a small bag of pads and tampons. So I took a few, it turned out well in the end.

Period school horror story: I was sitting in my 5th grade class, when I felt something going on "down there". I immediately asked and went to the bathroom. There it was, red all over my underwear!!! Unstirred some toilet paper down there while I ran to the nurse ( at the other end of the school ). But it bled thru when I got there. I had to wait thirty minutes to finally get a pad, and the nurse didn't even let me go home! So getting back to class was pretty embarrassing!!

What the male nurse said was wrong, and insensitive. It was wrong of the female gym teacher to tell at the student and suspend the student who said "no s**t sherlock". It was way over the line and so wrong of that teacher to take a picture of the student's period stain. I agree with Sharon that if a teacher says no when you ask to go to the bathroom to just get up and go use the toilet.
I remember I got my period out of the random when I went to the bathroom during math. I was lucky it started right as I hit that toilet. I didn't panic until I found out the bathroom had no pads. And I forgot to bring a pad to school because no one told me a period could come twice a month ( and I had it earlier that month). So I wrap my underwear in toilet paper. But I also remembered I had to hang out with a 'friend' later that day. Now I was hella screwed. (I was also too awkward to ask for a pad at her house because she didn't get her period yet. Lets just say my underwear wasn't quite white when I got home.

@lxndon they are definitely worth it. I was terrified too after hearing horror stories and thought I preferred pads. Was also frustrated that it took me like 10 tries before I got it correctly. So glad I faced my fears though. Much cleaner than a pad, somehow my cramps are slightly better with tampons vs pads, it's more comfortable (you don't even feel it), and overall better than a pad in my opinion. I totally get being scared to try it, but I would give it a go. (Might not get it on the first try so don't worry if you dont) if you still prefer pads by the end of it that's fine, but I think it would be worth trying.
I got my period one week apart once. I still have not gotten it close to regular (im 13 so it makes sence (you can still have it regular at that age) and i am so afraid this will happen.

Girl trust me, I get scared every time my period comes twice a month. I get mine every 3 weeks so i thought i wasn't normal
One girl in my class had her period. In sports we wanted to walk a bit around the school and the forest and fields near the school. The girl asked the teacher if she could go to the restroom.. He asked “yes, but please tell me why”. She was a bit embarrassed but answered that she had her first period and needs to change her pad. She was allowed to go to the restroom. When she came back and walked to the forest, all the boys looked at her. A few of them looked horrified. One boy talked to her and said “it’s ok to have a period”. Then I knew why they acted so strange. All the boys were so uncomfortable because they found out the girl had is first period. The girl was so embarrassed, i can’t imagine. I didn’t understand why they acted this way. It’s one of the most natural things in the world. Now they are still uncomfortable with the topic, but they are way mor open for it.

One time during PE, I was feeling something down there and needed to go to the bathroom just in case I got my period. So I went over to the male PE teacher (who bare in mind was married to one of the FEMALE PE teachers and had a daughter) and asked him if I could go to the toilet. He said I couldn't because we'd just had lunch but I said that it was 'that kind of emergency'. He didn't take the hint and went on a whole rant about how he was going to let me go just this one but that I needed to 'work things out better' and 'go during lunch' etc. He finally let me go and the only thing I regret is not having a go at him

This happened to me a few days ago. I was about to give a presentation when a classmate and good friend of me stood up, ignored the weird looks of all my other classmates, walked up to me and whispered: "There is a period stain on your... You know?" I immeadiatly grabbed my jacket and tied it around my waist, so nobody could see it. After school, I thanked her like a thousand times over and over again. She probably saved me from a huge emberassment. This goes out to Malin and Amelie: You're the best, thank you so much!!!

Period story:
I was at a school trip at the pools, I had gotten out of the pool to pee and there was my period it was only like my 3rd period and was super scared, I had forgotten my supplies at home so I stuffed toilet paper down there I didn't leak through but when I went to change the toilet paper my teacher was there and she definitely knew what's up and I was to afraid to ask for help it was so awkward waiting to go to the bathroom. So I have childhood and development. My teacher went on Facebook and posted for donations of just 5 boxes of pads and tampons. And we got over 3 carts of period products. Including some period lil packets of clean up wipes, stain remover, hand sanitizer, and some other stuff. In our class we got to make period packs. And got some girl power stickers and inspiring notes. We had so many we got to send them to the middle school students. Also the best part was the guys in the class made them too and was proud of it!!!

I’m on my periodddddddddd (it’s so funnnnnn) (it’s not)
Once in my science class, my FEMALE teacher said I couldn't go to the bathroom because it 'was against the school rules'. I tolled her that I had cramps and made it very obvious that I was in a lot of pain (holding my stomach, wincing etc.). Keep in mind this was the worst pain I've ever experienced in my life. I didn't do any work for the lesson because I couldn't pick up my pen because I was trying to hold my stomach to stop myself from being sick. She eventually let me out of the classroom three minutes before everyone else, and I went to the bathroom and cried. I literally hate this teacher.
i have a very recent story:
my cramps were super bad. i originally tried to ignore it and suck it up since it was only 2nd period, but i was about to pass out so i started running to the nurse. i couldn’t see anything because i was so dizzy and i could barely walk. eventually they had to wheelchair me out of the school and my dad drove me home as i cried
Awh I'm sorry about that. Painkillers can be a girl's(or your genders) best friend.
Try not to each sugary, greasy, or spicy foods on your period and your cramps won't hurt as much. Also if you can bring a heating pad to school try that.
like sharon said, if the teachers won’t let you go to the bathroom when you have an unprepared period, just LEAVE. when my school gave us “the talk” they made it clear that leaving when that happens is allowed, because if you tell the nurse, she’ll call the teacher and clear things up. i’m grateful for knowing that i won’t be punished, but even if you don’t have a rule like that, it’s quite likely that they will forgive you as long as they know what’s wrong
I once saw a tampon that someone put in the toilet when I was about 6 or 7 and I came out and told my mom I saw a dynimite stick in the toilet.

When there’s a new kid at my school they make them do a presentation about them INFRONT OF THE HOLE SCHOOL!
Well lucky me, I was a new kid at the time so I stayed up all night to make my presentation, then the next day when I was presenting (infront of the hole school) I got my first period and blood was dripping down my leg everyone was laughing and one girl screamed “SHES ON HER PERIOD HAHA” and i said “ so? Don’t acted like u don’t have one!” And I was the elephant in the room at lunch for a month then things were normal

Period Story:
I was in Mexico and I was swimming and when I got out I sat on the cement and forgot to bring a period pack and so when I sat I bled and felt it, and my whole family and my dads friends were there too so I kept telling people to go get me a towel so I could go back up to my hotel room and it stained the cement and I was walking by the cement 5 days later and this kid yelled “mom there is blood on the sidewalk”

Once I was at school (this was in 4th grade) I went to the bathroom and in one of the stalls I saw a bloody pad. Later, on the bus ride, I sat by my friends Cassie and Sophie. Sophie was in 3rd grade. I told them about the bloody pad and then i realised Sophie didn't know about periods yet. Sophie was so confused And just said, "my grandma wears those, I don't really know why. "

my middle school has this little basket in the girl's restroom with pads, tampons, hair ties, etc. for anyone who needs them which is really sweet but then the stalls don't have the little boxes so that kinda sucks

I had a pad in for almost 8 hours and needed to change it. My FEMALE teacher told me I was disrupting the class and sighed at me!!! She let me go but said for the rest of the semester I was the ONLY ONE that wasn’t aloud to go to the bathroom. The rest of the students in my class were, and the boys went extra just to rub it in my face. The next day, I bled through my pants and asked to go to the bathroom. I even told her why and she told me to sit down, suck it up, and yelled at me in front of the whole class.
So the children in middle school, elementary and a bit of high school students share a toilet and once I was changing my pad and apparently a little girl who recently started elementary (assuming by her voice) heard the pad opening and said "Who's eating crisps?"

Period story : I was in English one day at school and my stomach started hurting I thought I was just hungry but after lunch and social studies and when I went to swimming I took my pants off and saw blood on my underwear and I ran into the female swim teachers office and said I on my period and I said I need a pad and I ran to the bathroom to put the pad on so I sat out of swimming for 5 days
Of course I see this on my first day of junior year in college... and the day I started my period... Yay....

My school is awesome. I got my period and freaked out since I don't have a pad. When I walked out of the stall I saw a bucket with FREE pads in it. I didn't need to ask anyone and didn't need to pay it was just there for anyone to grab and go. They have this in EVERY bathroom. Made me really happy they care enough to do this.

I was on my period & my English teacher said no when I asked if I could go to the bathroom.
I told her “ma’am I am on my period I *have* to go” & she STILL wouldn’t let me go, one of the boys overheard & signalled me to just leave so that’s what I did.
I came back to class & the teacher started screaming at me for not listening to her & called my mom.
I wonder what was going through her mind when she thought “if I call this girl’s mom & tell her that her daughter walked out of the class when I didn’t allow her to go to the bathroom, she’d definitely get mad at her & not me”
Lo & behold, she never says no to anyone for wanting to use the bathroom.
I asked my math teacher if i could use the bathroom once and she said no. I gave her the dirtiest look and sat down. After class there was a blood stain on the chair and since We're allowed to pick out seats so someone knowing it was me is unlikely. The next day she yelled at every class that sat in her room because the chair had to be replaced and i felt bad for getting everyone yelled at but at least now she knows to let us use the bathroom. :) (She's nicer now tho)

Period story:when I was in 5th grade at my school my classroom was in a separate building to the rest of the school. At break I went to the toilet to sort my pad out my teacher didn’t know I was in the toilet so they left the building and locked it . I was stuck in there for 20 minutes by myself when I was 10.
I have to say I learn A LOT from sharon if anything like this happens to me I'll definitely remember her advice soooo.....thank you❤❤❤
I had two period cycles and didn't tell my mom. I guess I was in denial that it was a period and hoped it would just stop. There was never a good time to discreetly tell her either there was always someone else in the room. Eventually she realized I was going to the bathroom a lot so I could change my makeshift toilet paper pad. Now I'm ok with having periods and am not embarrassed about it anymore.

This is not really a period horror story but, at one of my soccer games a kid got hit by the ball on my team and she had a bloody lip, nose, and tooth. No one could find tissues so we had to use a pad instead. She was just sitting on the bench with a pad up to her mouth

I strongly feel that bad period cramps or your period in general, is perfect “excuse” to stay home from school.
Story time,
I was in 5th grade and I was on my period, at the time I was wearing a dress and when I got up I saw that I had blood on my dress and I got super stressed because I only just started my period a couple months before, so I went I up to my teacher and said: “I found blood on my dress….” And my teacher had to take me up to the office and she started to talk to the front office people and then the office lady called my mum and she came and took me home.

So me and my 3 friends were in class and me and 1 of my friends needed to change are tampon I had had mine in since the beginning of the day now it’s the end in D-block I didn’t have a tampon so I went to my friend who was like 3 seats away from me to ask if she had any, she did so I went to ask my female teacher to go to the bathroom and she starting talking about how I was distracting the class and that we had a bathroom break at the beginning of class I was now in front of my class and simply with a straight face I said ok but when I bleed all over your chair your cleaning it up the boys started laughing and she let me go. When I got back she told me that it was inappropriate to say that and I said well you didn’t let me go the first time I asked and set back down

I just came out of the bathroom and one of my friends went in the SRO came by and I went back into the bathroom to give my friend a tampon our school has a really bad vaping problem so the SRO pulled me up and took me to the principals office and I literally had to sit there they searched me before letting me speak and then they all look shocked when I told them I was giving a tampon to my friend.

Omg I started my period yesterday and Sharon’s videos have really been helping me!
Kinda a horror story but I was lucky in this. So on a Thursday morning during Year 11(I finished School and finals back in May/June this year), it was the first lesson,period 1 which was Physics. I felt weird all morning and all throughout that lesson. Then once Period 2,DT(Design and Technology which I hated btw) came around, I asked my female teacher to use the toilet and she said yes so I went. I felt weird down there but when I checked,nothing was there but I had the signs like slight cramps and tiredness.Luckily I had some pads and tablets left as I always carried things around. I put a pad on incase and like a lil while later that day when I needed to go to the toilet again, my period started. Lucky me. They never normally started during school, it's normally mornings they do but I'm so glad that I went with my gut feeling and listened because if I didn't, I'd probs would have an actual horror story to tell lol.
We had an elderly female sports teacher with a very loud voice who announced that she always had some pads and clean underwear handy, so we should ask if we needed some. Once I was on my period in sports class (and my periods where quite heavy back then) and we were supposed to practide the handstand!! I can remember talking to this teacher (the same one) and she was very nice about it but seemed a bit skeptical, when I said I was scared to do a handstand, because of the bloodflow ^^ I think I was excused anyway.

Usually I say "Can I fill my water I haven't drank any all day" every 2-3 classes depends how long the are my school rules are if we finish fast we go outside or sit in the back of our next class on our phones till the bell rings
Ahh it was in the morning of my first day wearing shorts in 2 years because I had hella body image problems especially with my legs, and these were light gray shorts, almost white. And then it started, and it was early, so I wasn't prepared at all. Blood was streaming down my legs and my shorts were completely red in thr back, so the chair was all bloody and I cried and ran to the bathroom and threw up. Teacher let me go home sick and I didn't go back for the rest of the week

So I start school in two days (going into 7th) and I got my first period this summer so i was never at school with my period and i’m a little scared but watching your other videos with hacks and tips I feel like it won’t be bad thank you
I'm also in 7th. I got mine at the end of 7th. It's not bad at school just take pain killer before school or during I'd your allowed. And if you cant go for a while just wear 2 pads and when you get in the bathroom take the bloody one off and you will have a fresh one :)

My period horror story-
So I was in choir one day at school. I didn't know I was on my period. I stood up to pick up my music from my teachers desk and this girl screams 'OMG LOOK AT YOUR SEAT!' My seat was covered in blood, and so was my pants

Heating pads work well for cramping also drink a lot of water pain medicine works well and be sensitive around salty foods especially fried bc it can hurt sometimes depending on u or the food.

I went to school it was my first day and had my period after getting the first dose of the covid vaccine which was last week. But also I had finished my other period last week so it happened twice this month. It was the first time dealing with it at school so I was freaking out because I didn't wanna leak 😭😭
Oh no 😭😭 I recommend wearing the long, thick pad to avoid leakage. I use that but then again, it depends on your flow.
