Lilith did nothing wrong. Inarius and the others were debating the pros and cons of MURDERING THEIR CHILDREN so they could more easily hide from Heaven and Hell. She took it on herself to remove that option by killing all the angels and demons. She’s the good guy, who wasn’t willing to cowardly slaughter their own offspring.
Then she gets thrown into the Void by Inarius, who proceeds to go power mad with time. Lilith breaks back in, manipulates some humans to be capable of defeating the agents of Inarius and Hell who are both trying to control them, and gets treated like a villain for it. Thrown into the Void again.
Actions speak loudest and so far Lilith wanted to end the eternal conflict, fell in love, had kids, killed people who wanted to kill her kids, broke out of ultra prison to help her descendants retain free will, and generally put them on a path to be stronger than Heaven or Hell aka they can’t be at eternal war if there’s a bigger power between them preventing it.
We’ll see in Diablo 4 but so far everything I read makes Lilith seem like the only one consistently trying to look out for Humanity and Sanctuary. Some evil or violent actions for a big picture of freedom and peace.
Sigh....Lilith was just a caring mother who wants her children to take on both Hell and High Heaven...

At this point we have zero evidence that any demon can actually be good. The renegades acted to escape the war out of selfishness, and then were afraid of the Nephalem's power. Lilith destroying them protected them, but its hard to say if that was out of love, or again based on her selfish designs.
It is likely the latter, and since humanity is worthless in her eyes she will probably release hell on them to weed out the weak and then try and recruit the Nephalem that rise out of the ashes of this world.
They haven't really confirmed that your character in D4 will be a Nephalem, you weren't in 1 and 2, and they said they are trying to go back to that low fantasy.
So if we aren't then we are just meat for her grinder.
They also need a way to explain why our characters from D3 aren't around to stop this, because by the end of D4 we could defeat any force in the great war, they need to write us out somehow. Like we left the world to find some greater meaning or something. Maybe we sealed it, so the war couldn't get in, but Lilith came from the void, not heaven or hell, so she bypassed said seal.
When I saw the trailer of Lilith I was like I wish I could make an entrance like that

@@Gwar-Deth Pandemonium is non-canon mainly since its a Battle.net exclusive event, and doesn't occur within single-player story mode, but due to retconned lore, it doesn't make sense anymore.
Initially, it refers that Lilith is the Succubus Queen and was infuriated when Andariel, her supposed daughter, was slain, and revived Diablo personally after his defeat, as well as Duriel and Izual, but it left her weakened.
The current canon is that Andariel is one of the heads of Tathamet, alongside the other Prime Evils, thus making her Lilith's aunt if anything.
Then there's the fact she's not interested in the Eternal Conflict, and reviving Diablo will only cause it to keep going, so why would she care?
I kinda wish Lilith would keep that transparent/blood design. It just looks so amazing and original...especially with that amazing cape.

THATS what I am thinking. The Vid makes it like she is villainous but Her motivations are for US the nephalem to prosper and end the War of heaven n hell.
She intends to defeat both heaven and hell with her children of super soldier army. So she isn't really a good guy, just a third faction. Humanity is different from the ancient Nephalem who will serve her so we are not her allies, we're more like genetic abnormalities (an inferior sub species) in her eyes. So she will not be on our side. We're just caught up in the middle of it all, we're just pests to them that need to eradicated before the real war begins. So no technically we will not be fighting alongside her. Nor heaven, nor hell. We have no one on our side (except Tyrael).

I think Lilith should save Inarious and they should forgive each other and get back together. They are the Romeo and Juliet of Diablo universe.

The lore of the Diablo franchise is so immersive, I have loved the stories since i was quite young, i played diablo and diablo 2 when i was still in middle school. The cinematics created by blizzard and blizzard north are simply astounding! Their ability to make you want more in just a short 5 minute video is never taken lightly, and i am very hopeful for the diablo show if it ever makes it that far! Your ability as well @Game LORE Dash to piece together the strewn details from several games and in game stories and painting a much more transparent plotline is so nice! keep it up!
Honestly, I really love the darkly thematic lore that the Diablo series laid out before us. Glad to see that Blizzard is returning to the series' horror-filled origins.

Did you know some mini boss villains were characters from diablo 1? Aiden became diablo, the archer became blood raven, and the sorcerer became the mad wizard in act 2.

They really should. I played the D3 campaign 2 times. One on Normal and one on Hard and i took like no damage. My health bar went down by 10% max only when special enemys stun me and explode. D3 is just too Easy.
@@Minusraft right? People who enjoyed D3 didn't understand what my problem with it was. I remember moving slowly in D2 from room to room, to the next screen of monsters, and needing to use some strategy to take on large groups of enemies and live, hoping for that next piece of gear that will help you survive. In D3 it was just streamlined button-mashing. D3 was just kinda soulless.

Do people think that the Lilith will go hellriser on her children? That's disappointing. Thankfully there's no precedent, but who knows since every banishment is supposed to be harder to circumvent than the last.

VVoude it would make sense for Rathma to revive Lilith. Rathma loves to keep balance between life and death, and since in D3 we literally kill Death (Malthael) it would make sense if Rathma released Lilith to continue to keep balance (by killing shit)

And i know humanity now are the weaker versions of the nephalem but im pretty sure the characters we play as are an exception, so the question still stands

@@KainsTorment I thought the same at first, but prolly not. Since based on the Sin War novel, Rathma was deeply against Lilith, doubt he would bring her back. And at the end of the trilogy, I believe Rathma simply vanished....I don't recall, but he certainly doesn't reside in Sanctuary any longer . The pale dude could be someone with ambitions like Zolten Kulle who wants to gain the power of Nephalem by evil means.

I’m trying to figure out how Lilith is the main villain in D4. From all the lore I’ve heard it seems like she’s on our side. The maternal figure for the Nephalem who tried to save us from annihilation and got banished for it. Her quarrel is with angels and demons, not with us. What am I missing? Can anyone elaborate?
She is Mephistos daughter ....she may not have the most pure of intentions after all , she was trying to claim the worldstone not for best intentions before meeting inarius
DadSalvation she wants to use us to as super soldiers to overthrow heaven and hell taking her place as the ruler of all Existence. She wants to elevate us for her own ends.

Hopefully we see Inarius again because his story has the potential to be a great one of repentance and redemption.
Inarius can be briefly seen in D4 cinematic trailer, bound in chains. So i guess he will appear in a game aswell.

@@ruggie.74 yes. Like they can make Diablo 3 an elaborate illusion created by Belial and none of the events therein actually happened save for in the heroes' minds.
It was Rathma who revived Lilith and I know he once hated his mother and fought against her in the sin wars but now that the angel of death Malthael and the prime evil Diablo both were killed by a Nephalem he realized that the Nephalem are the biggest danger to Sanctuary so he revived his mother to stop the Nephalem.
It would be interesting to see if with her awakening the Nephilim powers are also increased.
I'd like the finalest boss to be a weird mutant form of inarius and lilith into one being with powers beyond a unified prime evil or light even more powerful than udyssian which we fight in stages.

The story of the first God, angels and demons, and sanctuary, is a masterpiece. If only they would bring that feeling into the game.
Terror has vanished from todays games, there's no thrill anymore. It has been replaced by speed, to large rewards too fast, no anticipation or difficulty - and that does not mean HC or enemies with 1x billion health, its more like being underpowered and using your freakin brain to solve the problem, or suffer consequenses.
And the genericness, my gosh... 145 "legendary" item of the same type in two hours... yeah feels really special.
I fear for D4, and this generation. We need to slow down and truly feel what we are doing.
I agree. Diablo 1 is the most immersive. The whole atmosphere and the dialogues really brought in the horror of the monsters to life. The sequels quickly lost the intended way the game is meant to be played and just became item hunts.

I think most of all are too old to get as spooked as we got back when we first walked in to the butchers room in d1 when we were like 10 years old.

people forget that in d1 and 2 dupes were rampant and players were just as cartoonishly over powered, it's just that we're legit now and the graphics aren't as shoddy and gritty. d3 was just too smooth for a lot of people.

If u think about it, what were the force of even and he'll pursing in sanctuary? The "renegade", that they viewed as traitor, by killing those renegade angel and demon, the heaven and hell did not have any care of the world in the human (and nephellim but I don't think they realized the power they had), thus killing the renegade she put her children out of the conflict, and the weakening of the nephellim made them even less of a threat to the other faction, thus making them a no factor in the war, and preventing them from being a direct targe. make sens a twisted one to be sure but made sens.

Once the Renegades realized Nephalem were more powerful than both Demons and Angels, they decided to kill them, as they were a threat to their existence.
Most of the renegades wanted the nephalems to drop dead, because they were afraid that their children might pose to become a huge threat to both races. Lilith was furious after she heard this so she went on a frenzy and killed them

There is only one thing i really would like to know about Lilith and Demons, how come they are making her a last boss in a timeline where nephalem are power unlimited, and how come the design looks so much more powerful and terrifying than the previous bosses even Diablo and her father Mephisto?
Can demons gather power somehow by their disciples's belief or fear etc? can they gain power by virtue of empowering their portfolio? because the power balance makes no sense otherwise.
To be honest I thought they were bringing back Leah cuz she is Diablos Daughter.
But then I remember that Diablo is the Lord of Terror not the Lord of Hatred, that is Mephisto.
Imagine what Mephisto will look like in a blizzard cinematic today...considering Lilith is terrifying.

In the end of Diablo 3 it makes reference to a good or evil path being chosen by the nephalem. The assumption is there is a hell or heaven path to be chosen maybe the endless war is over when your character destroys all beings of power in the hell faction or heaven faction. The betrayer Lilith looks like the nephelem hell power base and the battle angel inariuos is the nephelm heavenly power base the broken and devorced mother and father power struggle.

Plot twist: the one they revived is actually diablo in lilith's form and it will then be revealed sometime in the middle of the game and the real lilith would work with you and Inarius who has been in the void the whole time with lilith
or you could be assisting Diablo in disguise of Tyriel to overturn Lilith, then you get expansion to kill Diablo again.
Finally a video with legit handling. AD at the end? That's an automatic 5 stars
As we see in trailer we fight also with demons which are summoned by prime Evils Like Diablo , Baal and MEph not by LILITh - so they gorw in strengh somewhere in sanctuary .. question is does player as weakend nephalem will join prime evils to fight against Lilith or Lil will help player to fight Primes - or we will have to wipe them all...
I'd like to see Lilith on Nephalem's side fighting against the prime evils but most probably she won't. Why mother, why 😭😭

I don't know. Another returning of the prime evils just feels like beating a dead horse. Story should go on, not stay in the same place. Lilith is great character to build this game around imo.
It's just the one prime evil though, Diablo absorbed all their essences. So it really would be the one unless the shattering of the black soulstone separated them all into the 7 evils once again.
@@nahkapoliisi they automatically respawn when they die. Its lore so they will return. Besides. Duriel already was shown in the gameplay. Obviously all of them is back by then

Timeline: How much time has gone by since D3:RoS.
Lords of Hell: Does Diablo make a return or his brothers? I can't confirm if Duriel was who we saw.
Interface: Will it be similar to D3 or more a balance between D2 and D3.
Leveling: Will we have a level cap of 100 or close to?
Gear: Will old Legendaries and sets return and what new gear will be found?
Horadrim: Will the last member be in this game? Are there new members?
Enemies: Any old enemies make a return? Anything new and creative?
Allies: Tyrael?
Locations: We're talking about all locations from past games.
Inventory: Will the inventory be similar to D3 or will it be changed?
Stats: Will it be different or the same as D3?
Abilities: How many and slots?
Characters: Everyone from D3?

Who will remember Inarius?....Lilith...that is why we are going to Hell, to rescue him.
He will come back full of madness and disfigured, have hate for all angels, especially the Angiris Council, who gave him to Mephisto.
Lilith and Inarius will fall in love again, make corrupted Nephalem, rule Sanctuary as its King and Queen.
We are just an unwitting puppet to them, not godlike, as we were in D3, and we will be slaughtered for our service to them.
But most likely, we will be on the run, to warn Heaven and Hell of whats coming, tho it be fruitless, as Sanctuaries nephalem run riot on them with Ease. Heaven and Hells survivors, retreat to Pandemonium fortress to put up one final defense.....and the ending...I do not know.
Nah, it's a blizzard game, the player always wins.
The ending is simple: they will keep making more plots to keep the story going, so that they can make Diablo 5,6,7 8 9,10,...
The real story is about money and profit. Who gives a fudge about a fictional story? Well if it's about lilith in rule34... Sure... Else... Eh whatever.

@@mcmarkmarkson7115 They stated in the panel that we wont "Win" in any sense in this game. Its always going to be yes, you completed the quest but they die anyhow. So Im sure the ending will be just as bleak most likely ending in our death~ (With paid expansions, the final expansion might be our characters swan's song.)

Well the one summoning Lilith seems like a Nephalem? I mean, the real early ones maybe. Bigger than a human, and got powers of some sorts, fits the description of a nephalem.
Diablo needs a soft reboot. The power creep associated with the Nephalem is way too extreme in the lore. It takes something away from the setting's horror, when you're able to crush everything under your boots easily. Defeating Diablo has less impact when you know, that your character is naturally stonger than him.
1 million percent yes. I hope nephalem are nixed in favor of D1s roots.

Actually no Lilith wanted to gain the worldstone at first which is why she joined up with Inarius, she wasnt always with good intention

I think the old man talking is inarius like he became human might be wrong but he could have pulled a tyreal cause the old man talking about brothers fighting like when inarius went against Lilith and the torture inarius went through idk seems about right and it would be odd to not have the second creator with Lilith and the old guy could be talking to tyreal he could have died since he was human in Diablo 3 and it’s been a couple of years idk I could be missing things but what I know kinda seems right
