Tyrael expecting Marius to go to Kurast, find a gateway to hell, go the the hellforge, and destroy Baal's soulstone all on his own must have been the most braindead move he's ever done.

No, only if he wasn't dumb and instead of throwing Diablo (human) to the side of the cliff, he just threw him into the the pit. The host was trying hard to climb onto the bridge, you could of just toss him into the pit, your were flying.

@@yharnamiyhill787 Because if that happens my friend there won't be anymore story to tell. You have to understand why it's done this way. Ofc while it seems unlogical, they need to have something to tell. If I have to imagine the real way, Tyrael wouldn't be so slow to swing the sword, this also doesn't make sense. In fact Tyrael could've easily kill both hosts at the spot there, but you still have 3 acts to go so yeah, you have to bear this in mind.

I think in a similar way the wanderer became diablo he became baal.
tal rasha basically is baal at this point. He held baal inside himself for years and was "consumed" by him and eventually baal basically sheds his tal rasha skin like a lizard similar to diablo.

@@Duc359 act V boss is baal. If you watch the cutscenes baal followed marius to get the soul stone and then went to the worldstone keep after the siege on mount arreat.
Baal stayed behind as well Mephisto. Baal headed towards the worldstone & Mephisto guarded the gates of hell after Diablo went to sanctuary they knew they were being followed

Baal tricks him into believing he is the victim, tal rasha. Prime Evils can easily toy with ordinary men, even the entire zakarum order fell to mephisto if you'd recall

It just makes me wonder... Your character in Diablo 2 defeats ALL 3 Prime Evils including 2 Lesser Evils: Andariel and Duriel. The Nephalem in Diablo 3 defeats Diablo holding the powers of both Mephiso AND Baal as well as the Lesser Evils you fight: Belial and Azmodan, Belial, Zoltun Kulle, as well as Andariel and Duriel again, turning him into his absolute strongest form he's ever had making him into THEE Prime Evil. Not only does the Nephalem defeat Diablo at his absolute best, but he also defeats the Angel of Death that was also holding the powers of ALL Prime Evils as well as the Lesser Evils. The Nephalem was literally the most powerful being in both Heaven AND Hell..
But yet in Diablo 4 your character barely handles Andariel and Durel and fights a weakened Lillith? 🤨
Because you're still not at full strength by the time you get to them. Your character (at least the sorcerer) says that they feel themselves getting stronger as they continue. You're not even at your full potential yet after beating Lilith.
It's fine if the character in D4 is less powerful than the character in D3. Where would you want D4s player characters "power level" to be at right now? Should the enemy be a combination of all angels and all demons?
What happens for the expansion that's likely to follow?
You only need to be powerful enough to defeat the prime evils, because that's the power level of the enemies.
Diablo 3 should be stricken from the record. Bring back Cain and act like it never happened.
the nephalem in diablo 3 were quite frankly, overpowered as fuck. it's fine if diablo 4 characters aren't that strong, plus there's still room for growth in expansions

man, this came out 24 years ago? The storytelling is still fantastic, and I'm surprised the graphics have held up so well too. I remember thinking how crazily good they were at the time.

Story answer: The 7 evils (Diablo, Mephisto, Baal, Andarial, Durial, Belial, Azmodan) are stronger than the Angels, but suffer from infighting. Prior to D3, the closest they got was to the gate of heaven but started fighting each other to see who got what before they actually won the war. When Diablo unites them into one form in D3, the only reason they didn't win is because the player stopping Diablo in the last possible moment

In this iteration it's only one angel, because the angel faction kinda wants to see humanity destroyed, they don't want it to exist so they will not really intervene in what goes on. Angels aren't good as in they are trying to protect humanity in the Diablo franchise, they are only one of 3 factions who is exclusively out for themselves.

I always tried looking to see if I could find Tyrael's glowing sword in Duriel's place.
Would have been a great weapon to have.
Especially for the time it was released in these chi trailers are gorgeous. Wouldn't even stand out in Diablo IV if it comes down to the graphics. The colour of the fire looks a bit odd though

As someone new to the Diablo franchise, the original looks so much better stylistic-wise. So no nostalgia goggles here. They removed the enigmatic blur of Tyrael leaving us to imagine how he really looks like, he doesn't give this majestic outwordly aura in Resurrected. Just higher res cutscenes and that's it. The sound mixing and echoes are way better managed in the original cutscenes too, like when Tyrael screams falling down with the Dark Wanderer. @@nils191
@@damsen978i would agree compared to diablo:3 but idk diablo 4 has some fantastic storytelling, the creepy factor is higher in diablo2. But if you look at the first diablo4 cinematic that ones also super creepy. I think the issue is we only get 2 cinematic. Where d2 has 4. So they have more room to play with, and Diablo 2 cinematic are more like a series of events then a story your participating in. Until the end.
That being said diablo 2 is great in it own way theirs a reason its got such diehard fans.
Diablo 4 is a child's play compared to 1 and 2. They just made Diablo 3 but with less lighting, that's literally it. We see no torn bodies laying on machines or anywhere like in Diablo 2's catacombs. @@expressrobkill

@@dabash00r I guarantee you it's not just Tal Rasha. In one of the books (Cain I think) it goes over how when trying to bind Baal, Baal broke the soulstone so it wouldn't keep him bound permanently. It was suggested to bind a human and then stick the stone in them, enhancing the stone's binding but leaving whoever was bound to wrestle with Baal. Tal Rasha volunteered, and what you see in this cutscene is what happens when a horadrim mage has to wrestle with baal for centuries. Baal broke Tal Rasha's mind, but couldn't undo the bindings so long as the stone was stuck in him.

It looks polished but they ruined the enigmatic look of Tyrael from the original by removing all the blur he has. I played the original this year for the first time and i much prefer the designs of the og than the ones in Resurrected.

I never understood how the wanderer and maurius were able to just waltz into tal rasha's tomb when the player needs to unseal the tomb with the horadric artifacts. Never made any sense to me, the whole point was that the tomb was meant to be sealed lol. Major plot hole.

Malthael as wisdom, already gave up on Sanctuary since his wisdom is limited to the fate of the eternal conflict between angels and demons only. The point here is that you prepared for a physics exam only to find out its still a chemistry quiz. So wisdom is already fucked the moment a new race and world was created.
