God this game looks awesome. Maybe we can hope Teyon can make a Robocop v Terminator game one day if we're lucky. Great review James!

I’ve this cart , it mindless brilliant fun , just like the robocop movies , the cheats come in handy , also my pal cart is region free , like many of my megadrive carts , so full screen 60Hz , I haven’t tried over clocking it yet , seems smooth enough to me , great video as always 👍

I used to rent the Master System version from Blockbuster Video back in the day. Still don't know how they got the game to work on an 8-bit system at all.

I had a go on this just before we moved house, I can confirm it’s as good as I remember it being.

Such a great combination, like electric dynamite. I still have my sega genesis copy of this super difficult game.

It’s crazy how much better and grittier the Mega Drive version looks. The larger Snes colour palette often did the games a disservice.

Sweet! I still have the comic mini series and the game on SNES.
It was 100% shut up and take my money when all this came out :)

Great times playing this one. Too bad it never became a movie

    I loved this game!
A fun bit of trivia, while playing this with my pal, I stumbled upon the "fall through the floor" code. Cue 5-10 minutes of going over what button presses I made to do it, and bingo! A 'cheat code'! Not a good cheat code, but I'm now assuming a tester code to end a game?
I was a reader of "Mega" Magazine at the time (a UK magazine dedicated to the mega drive), and sent it in to their cheat code page, and got it published! Yeay!
Unfortunately, as I can't find a complete archive of Mega magazine, I can't find the page with my name on it, but hey ho. A very minor, short lived claim to fame. 😅

One thing I'll give the SNES version over the MD was that chunky box it came with

I know the one you meant, embossed plastic logo? Yeah, that’s pretty smart to be fair.

As much as I love Terminator and Robocop, it hurts to admit that I haven't played this yet. It'll have to be a flash cart play when I get one, retail copies are a bit too painfully high in price for my taste.

You should see how much the Japanese version goes for. 🤯 Unlike the western release, its art is taken from one of the four comic book covers.
It’s the only version that links back to the original source in any way, unlike the western versions which show Peter Weller and Arnie in character.
It’s also rare because, like I said in the video, the Mega Drive version deviates from the comic book plot massively, unlike the slower paced SNES version. - James.

@SEGAGuys Ah, it would so cool to have one of those covers, but nah I ain't paying those prices. Prices for the Genesis version, cartridge only aren't too bad, but having it without the box seems wrong. One day I will at least play the game though, by some means!

Yeah, putting it on an Ever Drive is the way to go. At the end of the day, it’s about playing the game and experiencing it.
Edit: in saying that CEX have boxed w/o manual for £22 in stock, and boxed with manual for £35.

If time travel was possible if you just go back and change anything then no action has any consequence that proper takes away any drama or suspense 😅
