    Great tips . Not only how to improve catching these mullet but also like the idea of trimming down the hook to a double for greater fish care. Please keep them coming Really appreciate these informative videos. Thanks.

      @@bassmansbountyfishing yes. Very. I know very little about mullet fishing and taking the time to show method and baiting, and especially the bites was very informative and interesting. Often videos throughout you tube can be all about the result but not how it was achieved and this video gave an inexperienced dangler the tools and know how to try their luck. So well done.

    Great video. When would you strike a bite? I get plenty of bites, but only hooked 1 fish which hooked itself and pulled the rod round. Tried size 6 to 10 hooks (singles) but makes no difference.

    • @bassmansbountyfishing
      @bassmansbountyfishing  Рік тому

      Thank you 😊
      Depends on what you’re feeling through the rod or watching it and the line tighten,
      If it all goes weird and the rods bouncing the likelihood is the fish has got the Hook in its lip and it’s shaking it out worth a strike or if you have the line go slack it’s worth a quick wind and strike 😎👍
      Use a fixed paternoster size 8 hook

    I caught the world record thin lipped mullet in Spain 10 years ago- unable to claim it,because it’s almost impossible to claim world records. The pieces of bread being used in this video are far too big. Mullet are very crafty fish. Don’t pinch the bread on too tightly. You don’t need a double hook either. A size 10 is perfect.

    • @bassmansbountyfishing
      @bassmansbountyfishing  2 роки тому +3

      Cheers and unlucky on your claim, I’ve done very well on big baits over the years recently a 6lb 2oz pb , I scale down my baits if the mullet are finicky though 😊💪

    Wow. I fished an old abandoned harbour at Port Carlisle for six months in the summer of 2005. I caught no Mullet despite the tide bringing in large shoals of good sized fish.
