@@DRUMMER-MAN-59 thanks 🙏 I did this the other day before lunch, I tried a couple songs and they were not working, this one worked.
It’s sounds good, but I’m fussy and the rack toms are too loud, I turned them down on the next session. Listen to the Music 🎵

Thanks Tobi , I actually did this rather early in the morning, I usually do my songs after my afternoon naps 😊
I tried a couple songs but it wasn’t working out, I can always depend on one of these slower Pink Floyd songs 🎶

Ken!!!!!!! This is right up your alley!!!!!!! I somehow knew you would eventually cover this one,,,,,,,,, The main thing here, is the ghost notes, and you played them so well, and that fill that you did every time they were supposed to be a fill,,,, you absolutely put them in the exact spot needed,,,,,,, A+ A+ A+!!!!!!! You gave me chills on this classic song,,,,,,,, that chorus was amazing 😻!!!!!!! This is you4 masterpiece,,,,, bravo 🙌

@@bryandrums32 , Thanks 🙏 I played it well 👍 but again the Tom’s 😡😡😡 they were too loud.
Very disappointing, I can’t tell while playing, it sounds like a decent mix in the in ear 👂 monitors, but I come upstairs and listen and it was a a bad mix. The only blessing is nobody listens over a minute and the sound is ok at that point.
I actually tried a couple songs, before this Pink Floyd, but they weren’t happening today, the Pink Floyd was working 🥁

Smoke and mirrors. The song came out well, just the Tom’s are at times too loud. I really should do a small sample of the song, 🎶 come upstairs and listen on the computer 🖥️, then go back and tweak the faders 🎚️ back and forth until I get the proper mix.
      Too lazy 🦊🤷🏼‍♂️😁

@@dwstoeckel4740 , Thanks 🙏 I do think that actual drummers tend to watch more than the average person flipping through songs.
My performance here was pretty good, 👍 but I’m just so frustrated with the Tom Tom volume, I’ve been fighting this now for a while .
Inconsistency from song to song 🎵, I make adjustments but can’t overcome the problem ☹️ .
I tried to cover up the deficiencies with smoke and mirrors on the special effects to distract from the sound that I wasn’t pleased with.

@@dwstoeckel4740, perhaps it’s because it’s harder to get the better mix because I’m using so many drums and microphones, that are bleeding into each other.
Being a one man show is a huge obstacle, because I can’t hit a drum 🥁 and listen and adjust the EQ’s and volume on the faders 🎚️ by myself. There are times when I really have hit the sweet spot and I’m dialed in.
Here is the problem, it’s all analog from a basic mixer I’m also out of inputs and splitting a couple drums from one channel.
Yes I understand my sound isn’t horrible, but just not at the level that I’ve reached before.
Unfortunately the problem would be easier if I was running into software directly into a computer 🖥️ that’s called a D.A.W
Digital audio work station. The better utube drummer go that route.
That means that I record the song into a Digital mixer on the computer 🖥️, then it would just take a good take of the song and have total control on how each input of each microphone is mixed, starting from one drum at a time, going through all the proper volume and equalization, plus other tools, like reverb, delay, compression etc.
That generally means, I play back the song, 🎵 and say oh yeah the snare is too low … or too loud at that moment and I could adjust it at that time. Saving me to guess and go back and totally re record the song again, and again finding that it isn’t good again. Unfortunately unless I win the lottery it isn’t going to happen. Plus not only do I have the gear, I wouldn’t know how to use it.
I guess the only way to get a better sound , would be to have my main computer 🖥️ in the basement, close to the drum 🥁 kit
And keep doing small sound checks over and over a step at a time, and after I’m happy, then record the song.
I record the song 🎵 onto a camera SD card and after I’m finished, bring it upstairs and start my editing process, and if the mix isn’t satisfactory, I just live with it 😮
Meanwhile I put a lot of hours into this song, at the moment 16 views … even if it sounded perfect it wouldn’t make any difference. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy doing this it keeps me busy, it’s drumming or watching tv or sleeping 💤
I’ll get it done eventually, like I said it’s hard as a one man band, engineer , producer and critic 😊
Even if I had my wife hit the drum while I was adjusting the mixer … her touch wouldn’t be like me hitting the drum.
I need an assistant in the other room, on the mixer, doing one drum at a time. Nope that’s not going to happen. 😎😎😎

@@The-Tired-Drummer I see what you’re saying..have you ever thought about getting a USB mixer and recording into garageband on a phone or tablet? That way you wouldn’t have to get a computer down in the drum studio..? Then you could just take the tablet upstairs and do your audio mix when you do your video editing?

@@dwstoeckel4740 , actually my Mixer has a usb out, but apparently it doesn’t give complete access to all the microphone channels.
I have garage band, I don’t know how to use it. I’m a dinosaur 🦖. I went down and did a Doobie Brothers song 🎶 it’s a bit better mix
It’s always tinkering, I will just have to keep on my same routine, my wife will certainly not let me spend more money 💵 on this drum 🥁 hobby.
