Very nice swinging blues drum cover.
@@THE-BENDER-BEAT Thanks 🙏 did that yesterday, posted this afternoon. I’ve been checking out your new drum friend. He certainly has a lot of expensive equipment, and I see many names in his comments from drummers name I’m familiar with.
Oh yeah, love the beat. Man, you've really dug up some great songs. The piano is cool in this one. I did play a couple of your songs yesterday ... trying to get the finesse on the toms like you, you certainly have the touch. Awesome job as usual my friend 👏👏👏
That’s nice to hear 🤗 , this one is a good example for you to try, a basic blues song 🎵 at a reasonable pace. The truth is that sometimes I just pick these easier songs because I’m having trouble playing, there are days I have it and other days where I’m having a hard time playing. This is a great example, I didn’t have my usual after lunch nap 😴 and was exhausted, I ran through a few songs and felt this was on the easier side and had trouble with a few of the other songs I tried. I did manage to record two songs yesterday, this one and the Walter Trout song 🎵 LONLEY BLUES I posted it first feeling it had a bit more energy 🔋, today I posted the John Primer POOR MAN BLUES. 😊 Thanks for your support 🙏 my blues music isn’t really attracting much of an audience. But I enjoy it 😊
Very cool Ken 😎 ... Now that's a blues song, huh. Sounds great 👍👍👍
Thanks 🙏 I really like this guys music 🎵 and have done others, this is a little slower paced. There is a ton of slower blues songs, I’ve tried to keep away from them because although they are good, it just won’t have much entertainment for people watching, so I’ve been learning towards songs with a good amount of foot 🦶 tapping beats.
Great share Kenny!!!!!!! Boy do you know how to play the poor man’s blues!!!!!! Heck yeah bro!!!!!!! I loved this kind of shuffle you do!!!!!!!! You are certainly got some juicy fills in there too!!l!!!!!! Don’t be afraid to do those 8th note triplets bro!,!!!!! You kind of did some in here,,,, I’m just saying do them like every other few bars of notation!!!!!!! I really see you’re playing better than ever!!!!!! Fully watched 4:22 fully enjoyed!!!!!!! Rock on bro 😎 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks 🙏 I did two songs yesterday, this was actually the first, but I just posted it today, I hadn’t had a nap, I was chatting with you , then went downstairs after our conversation. I was very tired on this one, my eyes were closing. 😊
@ it came out great my brother!!!!!! You’re so amazing!!!!!!! I’m sorry I woke you up ⬆️ my bad 😣
@ , no you didn’t wake me, I’m in bed watching the Toronto hockey game, on my iPad, resting.
@ ohhhh cool!!!!!! Hockey is the best
@ , Ok ⏰ I’m up again, yes fell asleep 😴 in bed, 9:09 pm can watch the last period. Of course I’m broken from my nap, I just ordered a new hip and shoulder from Amazon Prime.
Ooooh ... the lonely lonely blues sad 😔 😞😪 love the low down feelin blues buddy!! all dayy😁👊🙌✌️👍 such great jam here brother!! hooraw man!! Groovin' tough 👊👊😁
@@cmkdrums Thanks 🙏 buddy and yes the Blues just keep on coming. I did two songs yesterday and was very tired 🥱 not after lunch nap 😴 So I just kept in simple with the song and another that will be posted very shortly. If actually had a couple of regular followers that have said that the blues is new to them and they are starting to enjoy the music 🎵 more now by watching my videos, my group of around 7 people that are nice enough to leave me comments 🤗 But I’m also sure that I scared away some people as well 😁
@ its all good buddy keep wm comin man 👊🙌👍 i love it buddy!!! 👊🙌😁
Wonderful blues cover! Sounds great as always!🤘🤘🤘
@@3L3V3NDRUMS Thank You 🙏 so much for your loyalty and support 🤗
Very nice drum cover. It is nice too see this background too. I never heard this song before.
The Blues Club was open for business 🎵 , and I’ve never heard this song either, but he’s a great musician 🎸 I was very tired 😴 did two songs today without my naps.
Perfect work! I like that tune Kenny! Something about that lead guitar. Ive heard it before but cannot place my ear on it. Quick question: I moved my 2 hi toms onto the cymbal stands and OFF the bass drum.( To reduce snare buzz and overtones)(big difference) Do I need boom stand weights? Do you find your cymbal stands tippy from the tom's being mounted to same stand.
Thanks 🙏 yes Walter Trout is a veteran musician with quite the pedigree, unfortunately, nobody’s heard of them just like most of the blues performers. There’s a handful of people that people know and that’s it and he’s one of the guys who been around for a long time amazing and if you are into the blues, you don’t know who he is. As far as the stands holding the Tom’s I have no problem with any stability or tippy ness , but I bought these. Mapex kit used with no hardware just the drums. I originally used my Yamaha hardware and the symbol stands where single brace. I decided to buy two new cymbal stands made by Mapex, the same Armory series that are quite heavy and solid, double braced legs. So I haven’t had any problems, it just needs to be setup properly for maximum weight distribution. I’ve never been crazy about how the cymbals are placed , it’s taken a few times of amusement and it’s still not perfect. I just don’t want to add more stands. So I’m living with this. Truthfully I prefer the Tom’s mounted on the bass drum, the Mapex floating system is very frustrating to set up. My Yamaha kit’s hardware is a dream 😊 Ok I’ve had many nightmares with the Tom’s making the snare buzz 🐝 and it’s just so hard to fix it sometimes, I’ve even removed drums and played with less Tom’s. It’s all in the tuning and some luck 🍀, there are tons of utube tutorial videos on spare buzz and every one of them says there is no real answer. There are times when it’s really bad in times where it’s not as noticeable I have it too. I didn’t realize they sold weights to give more stability, it seems like it should help. I’m a hobbyist photographer and I know they sell weights for photography light stands.
Kenny!!!!!! What a fabulous performance 🎭!!!!!!! I was really paying close attention to your dynamical groove!!!!! I love the subtle hihat opens!!!!! And those fluent fills were so gracious!!!!!! I absolutely adore your amazing passionate drumming!!!!!!! I could tell you were in the zone tonight!!!!!!! What a great job 👏,,, as always, fully watched!!!!! Fully enjoyed 😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ 4:24
@@bryandrums32 I was actually so tired, after our conversation, and missing my afternoon nap 😴 I went through about 10 songs trying to find something for today. I have my list but then can’t remember If I’ve done the song recently. I did get two songs recorded, it’s actually been a little while and switched to my Mapex Black Panther Shadow Snare, sounds good too , so that’s nice to now I can switch up snares again with confidence that they sound ok 👍
@ yes!!!! Right on brother!!!!! I told you it wouldn’t be that bad!!!!! I’m glad it’s working out for you my bro
Your dynamite drumming throughout this soulful song was pure pleasure to my ears as I perused and pondered all of the drum cover possibilities. You, my snoozy sidekick are always one of my go-to guys each day. As always, I thank you for putting all the effort into what it takes to put out a cover video of this high of a quality.❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️
@ Thanks 🙏 my FRIEND, very very appreciated. I did two songs yesterday. This was one of them and I’m now editing the song I did previous to this one right now. I could barely keep my eyes open, but I can’t take a nap right now because we have to go to pick up our new eyeglasses in a couple hours so I may as well finish editing this song it’s more of a bluesy tune and It with be up in a while,
@ Best you are able to see. Maybe that’s why you missed your hats the other day.😂😵💫😂
wahoo #1 again 👊🙌🙏😂!! i actually just now got on here and saw you posted so had to come pay a visit to my kenster!! im bout to actually start playing and recording for a lil while so i figured id check out ma man here , get me in the jammin' mood so i can go have at 👊👊 sweet sweet jam here buddy!! another great solid tune man and performance my friend!! very cooll 😎👍😎!!! hope you had good day today yhus far and continues into tonight amd beyond brotha!!! 😊👊🙌 great play
Thanks 🙏 I was so tired, 😴 I didn’t have any of my naps prior to recording a couple songs this afternoon. I wasn’t sure how well this song was gonna sound, because I can’t really tell with my ear monitors. Thankfully it’s ok 👍
Walter is a baaad baaad man..... so are you brother Ken ! Love it!
@ , yes he deserves more recognition, it’s a shame that these Blues superstars are not known in the mainstream music World. I could have a channel just playing his music 🎵, I was extremely tired do this and another song this afternoon, but it came out rather well. As I was playing along to this song I sort of heard a lot of Warren Haynes in his voice on this song, I’m sure they both could play this one.
Cool cover man! Nice song choice and awesome drum groove! 🤘🤘🤘
Thanks 🙏 this had a little blues rock 🎸 mix 😊, I’ve been chatting with Greg and Bryan for a few hours and missed my nap. So I’m heading downstairs to figure out what song to play today ?
Very nice drum cover. I don't know how I never saw your cover of this song before. I typed in Joe Jones You Talk Too Much drum covers and I saw this cover .
@@THE-BENDER-BEAT , The funny thing about this song, is that my Brother use to laugh about this song back when it came out, telling his wife, it reminded him of his mother in law.
very nice "djazzy" lay down bluesy song ☺☺☺ great job Ken
@@PaulDes Thanks 🙏 simple basic and straightforward, 🥁🎵🤗
Very nice cover. Sounded very good.
Thanks 🙏 I’m even switching up snares again 🥁 depending on what the song calls for, I was afraid to make any snare changes for so many months in case I screwed up the sound mix. Glad I took the chance now, it’s working out .
Oh yeah ... Great tune Ken. 👍 I actually have this song on my drum song list. I haven't played it in awhile but I will ... you gave me a few things I'd like to work in. Awesome 😎👍👏👏👏
@@timwillard3887 , That’s great, you should try some of my blues songs, some are very basic and easy in a scence, on of the reasons I’m playing the blues is because I just remember shit 💩 these days, and the blues can be very predictable, in some cases 🥁
Nice Ken ... Love the beat. Man your toms are awesome, great sound. You're getting me hooked on the Blues😂 Great job my friend
Thanks my friend 🤗 it’s been such a long journey finally getting good sound after a few years of constantly trying. I’ve been so afraid to touch anything , I finally have been switch up snare drums, again, this is my Metal snare, that fits in perfectly. I was afraid to touch anything like the snares in case I screwed up my sound. You are not the first person that’s mentioned that they are starting to enjoy the Blues 🎵, its been good for me to finally learn how to play the blues and swing, it comes in handy with other music styles. I did slightly tune my Tom’s the other day 😊
Forgot about this gem of a song! Thanks!

@@The-Tired-Drummer that’ll be for next time I guess!!!! lol 😝

@@edwardkaminsky8142 , Thanks 🙏 yes I always try to spice it up when possible, to keep some interest in my videos. You also have to take into consideration, that in the studio they keep things more simplified so you hear the singer more, and it’s easier to mix the recording. The drummer will usually have more drumming in a live performance.

@ , it’s at the 1:06 mark, the old miss the hi hat move, I’ve spent years perfecting it. Normally I stop 🛑 and start all over again, a little lazy today 😵💫
@ , Joe Bonamassa said in an interview recently, he is a professional guitarist and in concert makes mistakes and so does every other guitarist and musician. The trick is as a professional you have better tricks to hide them. You know it’s better watching or listening to a real human rather than a drum machine.

I dusted off the Ludwig 402 Supraphonic 🥁 then along with my cymbal management 😮 I did some snare management. By tuning and adjusting the bottom snares to get close to the drummer on the recording. This song came together nicely with just a few takes 🎬 and then I came upstairs, loading both cameras 🎥 and the sound recorder. BUT OF COURSE, something went wrong 😑 yes what do you know I didn’t press record 😡 in the audio recorder. So I had to go down and do the song all over again ☹️ of course this time it just had to give me trouble with the hands of a🦖 It eventually came out well and I lived happily ever after. 😊 it’s flying off the shelf with 60 views , with out the snake 🐍
@ OMG, I can’t believe you did all that and it didn’t even record, I can’t believe that, that’s a bummer, but your second attempt was good enough, I really thought you did a good job, regardless of losing your first take, your second take was really great, so don’t dwell on it, it came out beautifully, you’re amazing Kenny, keep the videos coming
Not familiar with her... will look her up.. thanks Ken! Appreciate your dedication to this music...
😂😂 well I missed this one for Christmas, love it ! Your videos just get better and better... keep up the good work!
Great song great cover.... I had heard of her before you started covering her, but you’ve definitely made me look into her full catalog of music.... I really like her stuff. And great job on the drums... I still wish ya lived in my neighborhood, we’d find us a bass player and get ta bloozin’ ...😎👍🏻
Yes I wished we did live closer 😊 unfortunately we don’t. I say to myself boy too bad I’m not in a band anymore. Or even out to jam with people, back in my jamming days 🦖 all the guitar 🎸 players would want to jam the blues. And I couldn’t play it back then. Yes 🙌 isn’t she amazing great voice I’ve done her songs before but don’t remember what songs, now that I have a good sound quality I might revisit many of the blues songs I’ve done before. It’s a new audience every day, I only have seven regulars that will leave any comments. But a couple that I’m turning on to the blues 🎵
Love Jimmy’s voice and guitar, love your drumming.... keep on finding these great songs/artists..
Thanks Dave 😊, yes I’m searching for new songs all the time, I’ve been leaning towards this more up tempo songs because of the foot tapping feel. I’m actually doing well with my views averaging over 100 😊 and I’m happy with that.
Swinging for sure! Love it Ken!
@@dwstoeckel4740 , Thanks 🙏 so nice to have you back again and hope you feeling better 🙂 Yes I must say I’ve been on a very good roll 🥁 lately, After struggling with my sound quality for years, I’m finally getting a decent sound 👍 I’ve been playing lots of these songs that come from the 1940’s in the last week or two, and not even knowing these are not new tunes. I’m always searching for songs, but I’m fussy about the recording quality on the older versions and prefer these remakes.
@ I’m getting caught up with you this morning.. lotsa good stuff you’ve posted this month that I missed..
@ , Thanks 🙏 your my inspiration 🎵 and I’m so glad that you’re enjoying my blues, had helped steer me in this direction. I’m having more fun playing this music 🎵, and finally figured out the bull 🐂 💩 of utube, having to play Foreigner and CCR and Michael Jackson to get anyone interested in watching. Thanks to you I’m having fun again discovering a new direction and not worrying about views 🙌
@ , Yes 🙌 and let me tell you that I missed hearing from you. Not that I’m looking for praise, but because I figured you will like a lot of these songs that I’m finding. Fortunately it seems that my few other regulars have been supportive as well 🙂
You wrangled up a great mix on this one. Everything really sounds so good. The snare snaps, the toms sound like thunder, and those cymbals sound sensational. You nailed another one, my friend.❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️
@@gregwonhoff7161 , Good morning ☀️ 7:08 for you and 10:08 am for me, like I mentioned yesterday I didn’t expect to drum 🥁 on Monday. I spent the majority of the day in bed, having a few naps, but woke up after 10:00 🕙 last night, then decided that I have enough energy to go downstairs and make a video. I picked this easy straight forward blues song to make it easier for me, l actually recorded this song twice one with my wood snare and a 2nd time with the Ludwig metal snare drum 🥁 so like usual you keen ears 🌽 spotted that the snare indeed did sound rather good 😊 So I came back upstairs started loading everything onto my computer 🖥️ only two realize that I didn’t press record on my sound recorder 😡 My wife said well just do it again tomorrow, but I was determined to get this song done and if you look at the clock ⏰ in the video I think it’s 11:10 pm and this time as systems were go 🚀 after editing the song and loading it to Utube, I gathered my song information for my liner notes 📝 to discover this was a remake of a song from 1940’s , seems that a bunch of my recent songs I’ve chosen are all these songs from the 40’s.
@@gregwonhoff7161 , I in amazement myself how well my sound mix quality has been in the last couple months wow 😮 I have left all the settings alone, the only factor is the volume on the original recording that I’m playing, because they do vary and it’s just a guess getting them mixed properly. So basically my cymbals and Tom’s are dialed in and set, the only variation is the snare. One of the first things I do is listen to the drummers snare and try to figure out which of my snares is the best fit. 👞 Then after picking the snare I’m using, I will make adjustments to the snare itself, the skin tightness pitch, then the bottom snare wires tension. In most cases I don’t have to change the volume 🔊 on my mixer, I can hear in my ear buds the rough mix and just hit accordingly. For the snare volume I also can just change the drumsticks 🥁 weight, so I’m changing from , a 7a - 5a , and choosing a wood tip or a nylon tip . So on each song everything is different and planned out when I’m learning the song, same goes for my cymbal selection.
@ Reading about how much time you UA-camrs spend getting videos produced for us amazes me and makes me really appreciate all you do for our entertainment.❤️🙏🏻
@ Again, the time you put forth for your fans is muchly appreciated. I love those old 40s songs. I don’t know if I ever told you, but when I was teaching I would get to school around 5:45 each day. The only others there were the cook and janitor. I would turn on a few table and floor lamps for a warm atmosphere. I hate overhead lighting. I would then turn on Pandora and play those oldies. I loved being at school during that time of the day.
@ , Thanks 🙏 for your appreciation and support, you do realize that I was getting fed up with making covers a little while ago. It was very frustrating and disappointing, with me putting so much work into a video that people just didn’t watch, at that time my editing took me 3 hours on average with being creative with special effects. Now my special effects has just about disappeared, because the FREE PROGRAM, I am using, had now made around 98% of my free effects, membership only. I don’t trust this Chinese company enough to give my credit card information plus I’m not paying over $150 a year subscription only to find they shut down in 3 months. So I’ve finally figured out just to play the songs I enjoy playing and I’m not worried about views anymore. Thankfully I have my Seven regular listeners that give me a reason to keep making new videos. Yes I understand my musical direction is not everyone’s cup of tea ☕️

@@edwardkaminsky8142 , Thanks 🙏 after being so tired and spending most of the day in bed, and then after my evening nap, I went downstairs at 11:00 🕚 pm to record this song.
Digging it Kenny! Hope you have a fantastic day!😊
Beautiful song, perfect cover 🎉😊🎉😊
Thanks 🙏 a nice easy blues song 🎵 that is a remake from a song from the 1940’s 😊
hooraw buddy!! cool jammin' mohn👊👊!!! sweet groovin' brotha😁👍 i really dig her voice🙌👏👍 cool tune man for sure!! good groove buddy , nice fills n rolls ma man 👏way to be kenny !! get some buddy 😊👊👊 totally love it man 🙌
Thanks 🙏 I actually picked this easy tune 🎵 to play because I was so tired and hadn’t played for a couple of days. I was in bed most of Monday and finally went downstairs to play after 11:00 🕚 pm. After finishing I found out this song originally was done in the 1940’s

Nice groove, Kenny 👌. I am a NFL fan, so I have to comment if that is acceptable. Buffalo has their hands full Sunday January 19th. Week #4 they didnt look as good as they have been.. I would like to see the Bills win but that L. Jackson is amazing. Should prove to be a exciting game.🏈
@@edwardkaminsky8142 , I haven’t been watching much television 📺 lately, I enjoy NHL HOCKEY, the most, but I have to record the Toronto Maple Leafs games, because I have to have a nap after dinner. I like the NFL, I’ve never been a huge baseball ⚾️ no patience, and yet I can watch golf ⛳️ on tv. I normally was a NASCAR fan, but slowly I’m leaning towards FORMULA ONE. The reason I brought up the Buffalo Bills, is that in a comment left by this guy, he’s from Buffalo and was hoping the Bills would win.
@The-Tired-Drummer Understand Kenny. Hockey fan also. 🤝
You're cookin' Ken ... really liking Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. I noticed you switched to traditional grip, for feel ??? Great job 👏👏👏
@@timwillard3887 Thanks 🙏 yes I’m also loving this music 🎵, I can play using both grips, it depends on the music, for certain things the traditional grip helps my snare finesse, but it’s an obstacle on drum fills. I have more control using the Match grip. I like to switch up once in a while 😆 Go Bills 🏈
Love this bluesy, big band sound, and your talented percussive performance is certainly the cat’s meow. Well played, my snoozy, Canadian compadre.❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️
@@gregwonhoff7161 Thanks 😊 looks like I could just play this bands music 🎵 and have lots of fun 🤩 I didn’t realize these songs are all big hits from the 1940’s . Yes these songs are purr’fect 🐾 for me 🤗

Amazing cover man! Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is always a great choice! You crushed it man! 🤘🤘🤘
@@3L3V3NDRUMS Thanks They do a great job of bringing these songs from the 1940’s back to life. Much before my time and I’m 70 ….
very enjoyable ! very beautiful !

This is a very nice jazz blues drum cover. Did you do this cover before or am I thinking of another song you did a cover of?
Thanks 🙏 I believe this is the first time doing this song 🎵, but these are old remakes of songs from the 40’s so they sound similar. I did find the original version I will send it to you. 😊
Ohhh wow 😮!!!!!! Totally amazing Kenny!!!!!!!! You’re sounding better than ever!!!!!!!! Love the mix!!!! And you’re swinging like crazy!!!! Bravo 🙌 ,,, i really love this song too!!!!!!! It’s got a great feel to it!!!!!! Epic performance 🎭 😊😊😊❤❤❤

Awesome blues cover man! Sounds great once again! Cool song choice! 🤘🤘🤘
Thanks 😊 it was a good week, now on the hunt for more of these unknown songs to play.
I love guitar into which in turn led to your drum intro. This is a rockin’ blues production which owes a lot to your driving blues drumming. Great drumming to a real toe-tapper.❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️
@@gregwonhoff7161 Thanks 🙏 my friend, yes 🙌 I must admit it was a good week for my videos, lots of nice songs found that I had no idea 🤷🏼♂️ existed. But was lucky enough to discover searching on UA-cam for foot 🦶 tapping music. 🎵 I swapped up some different snare drums and luckily it all worked perfectly, I was a great week for my sound mix too 🤗
@ The most important news you can tell me is when you tell me you had some good days health-wise. The drumming is just icing on the cake.❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Oh yeah Ken... Sooooooo good 👍 I look forward to the Blues Club!!! Awesome job, you're such a compliment to the guitar in this one. Wow
Thanks so much 🤗 it was a good week for my videos, I took a chance and switched up some snare drums, 🥁 that worked out well, and found a bunch of new songs to play. My sound had never been better, I’m a happy 😃 guy 😊
Yes, I agree. The videos have been fantastic!! I'm not far from you ... I live in Buffalo, NY ... GO BILLS !!! Big game tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of your weekend buddy. Thanks for all your hard work on your videos. I enjoy watching and learning from you. I have picked up things that you do and worked it into my playing. I appreciate that.
@@timwillard3887 , Thank You 🙏 so much I appreciate your support for me and my channel 🙌 if you ever notice I don’t get many people leaving any feedback on my videos. I have a few people perhaps 7 regular viewers that will actually say anything. I’m not looking for fame doing my drum videos, it’s just a hobby and something that keeps me going, rather than just watching television. I prefer the creativity of learning the songs and editing the videos. But it does get disappointing when I see most other drum players get so many people that leave comments. But I’m happy 😊 with my few friends. Well Buffalo , very interesting I have quite a history there, My father had 4 sisters and back in the 2nd world war, 3 of his sisters married American 🇺🇸 men. Two of them were from Buffalo and one lived Baltimore. So as a kid we went to Buffalo many times throughout the years, and I have cousins from Buffalo. Now all the old ones have died, I’m 70 and I was once the baby 🤣 We moved To a smaller city 7 years ago, leaving Toronto to a place called Belleville, between Toronto and Kingston, east of Toronto My Buffalo family’s moved to Las Vegas and they have been living there for like 25 -30 years, I’ve been to visit them many times, but it’s just too far away these days with my health issues, so when we travel we go to Orlando. My parents were born in Toronto, and my older brother and myself. I’ve been to A Bills game, and a couple Sabres games at the old arena. I was taking my daughter to a Sabres game in the new arena , but two days prior I had a seizure and was hospitalized to find I had a huge brain 🧠 tumor. They were great seats something like 2nd row, and my brother in law took her to the game. My daughter was a up and coming girl hockey player at this time and still is a hockey nut 🥜. I’m so old that I’ve seen The Toronto Maple Leafs win 4 Stanley Cups 🤣🤣🤣 GOOD LUCK 🍀 ON BILLS GAME TOMORROW. ✅
Great job, Kenny! Smooth....
Thanks, gee 5 months ago, I don’t think I could play this now, my energy level has dropped so much since then.
