She's a bride, not older bride, not younger bride, simply, a bride, thanks for coming to my Ted talk :)
THANK YOU! Was actually looking for this comment… A bride is a bride. Period.
Haha exactly my thought!
Yes. My thought was, "exactly when does 'older bride' category start?" If I ever get married, I will be well above the average age...... I will consider it a "wiser bride" situation.
YES! I was yelling internally to just call her a bride, why call her “older bride”? It would have been more inclusive.
@@vanesan5430 i dont' usually make a big deal about such, but this time I had a response! of course, they have to have a gimmick for the cameras.
Honestly, older people getting married gives me hope.
Same !!!
Yaaaaass
I'm 40 and still single, so these kinds of videos make me happy 😂
Same , I lost my husband 8yrs ago , I hope there is another chance .
God is good 🙏🙏🙏
@@dwiputrisutanto1945 Over 50 here & still single. 🤫
I actually feel a little discouraged...😞
And now that’s how an entourage should behave: supportive, respectful, caring and knowing that it’s the bride’s day. Her daughters and her friend are amazing and she is gorgeous!
Wouldn't it be great if the entourage was briefed before the show to be respectful And supportive to the bride? Or perhaps ask the bride to only bring 3 people to the store. No more. It seems to me the best results are when there's only a couple of people thete. Not a mob. Thus show was just right. Too bad they all aren't this way.
Exactly, not be cruel, jealous or prescriptive or so loud that it bothers all the other parties!!!
@@michelletavoian483 I agree. It’s like they think we won’t watch without the drama or clickbait titles. I just want happy supportive people in pretty dresses.
Agree. It would be great if more entourage would act this way for brides around the world. Saying yes to a dress would be a lot nicer. And the fact that they care so much about what the bride thinks and feels as to say things like "if your not feeling it your not feeling it."
I agree! They were so sweet & so supportive of what SHE wanted, not pushing their own agenda. Every bride needs affirmation like that.
As long as you are marrying the right person, it doesnt matter even if you both are in your 80s.

She is beautiful!! I love her attitude. I was married for 24 yrs when my husband passed away. Now, 6yrs later, I have found a wonderful man that I will be marrying in September. It made me feel young again when I went to pick out my wedding dress. ❤️
All the best for September. 🙏🏽
all the best to you. be very very happy.
Wishing you lots of happiness❤
So happy for you! Happy married life. I wish you all the happiness
@@Totajee79 thank you!!
Everyone has body issues. It’s not just an older bride issue
I agree. I think they played up the whole older bride thing for views.
I was thinking that haah I was like those Australians must have perfect bodies of only age beings imperfections
Her entourage wasn’t trying to steal the show so they had to find drama elsewhere
@@VLS1998t Excellent point.
Exactly.
I married again at 51. We opted to do a small wedding with an off the rack dress in Las Vegas. Fifteen years later, I wish I would have had the bravery to do what this lovely woman did!
Well, you still can do it. Renew your vows
Bride's best friend is the person we all need in our lives 🥰
To tell us that we have a Rockin Bod ❤️
She absolutely knows what she wants. That's called clarity.
And clarity can tend to come with age and experience
She looks so beautiful in all the dresses and not to mention the fact her eyes look so loving 🥰
With that headpiece.... wooooow!!!
She is so beautiful, I just wish she knew how beautiful she looks.
Yes! She looks at peace. Being such a beautiful bride and having such peacefulness shining in her eyes is a wonderful thing. I want the world for her!
We have a saying in France "Mariage plus vieux, mariage heureux" (later wedding, happier mariage"
@@juna7999 Well, thank goodness you cleared that up for us!
Actually, it is very interesting to discover the source of our old "sayings", adages, etc. Often a history lesson included. :))
"a little bit more excitement and a little more sparkle, because that's where I am, in my life now" adorable happy for her
that was wholesome
Melesande is every mum's dream daughter. She and her sister support their mom 100% - they're probably crazy about their stepfather, too.

Why are we not getting any Gok videos nowadays?!
Right? I was thinking: Gok would have knocked self confidence into her before he even touched a dress!
Heya, i live in England here. And everything has been shut for around 1½ years now. Nothing new is being filmed and weddings were banned for around a year or so. And everything had to be socially distanced so it's a bit impractical!!!
I just want the world to go back to how is was this pandemic should over already
This dresser is marvelous! She’s so stylish and encouraging.
Was going to say something similar...they picked the perfect consultant for this bride...so kind & encouraging :).
5:20 "you dont have to force it, if you're not feeling it, you're not feeling it"
man they're so supportive of her, i love it👏🏼
She is just a BRIDE not an "older bride".
I love how supportive her daughters and friend are. If only every bride had that level of entourage.
yes!! if only every woman had that level of support whether or not she is a bride. xoxoxoxoxoxo
Wow her daughter saying "oh so it's a body issue" was kinda rude. Clothes are meant to fit to the body, not the other way around, so it's a dress issue.
THIS.
I don't think her daughter meant it in a rude way. She pointed it out and the dresser immediately got her into a sleevless dress. If anything I think she was looking out for her mum, and did so in a way that wasn't too harsh. (It could've been worse.) And she was supportive throughout the appointment with the other dresses.
Its like when your loved one tells you your pants are unzipped and you're in public. Just something family dose to look out for each other.
I think she just meant that her mom felt it was a body issue for herself and why she was not liking the dress as much with her own body issues she sees, not meaning it like she was saying "it's a problem with your body why the dress doesn't work." Just trying to understand what her mom was feeling.
But they make all clothing for ONE chick who looks NOTHING LIKE real women...and just make it bigger. It's often not flattering at bigger sizes. And a lot of bride's dresses look too young.
Not that this girl is at all fat.
Yea i thought that was a screwed up thing to say
The bride was very open minded. oved how supportive the entourage was. She raised her daughters so well. Such beautiful & lovely women. Loved this video! 💕
2:45 - The look on her friend’s face. Friendship goals. 😍😍
Melesande is the kind of support system I need in my life.
Such a great daughter
She is so gentle kind of a person....she deserves the best
And do we have to call her an “older bride” as opposed to just a bride?
She looks gorgeous in every dress!
So other older brides can find this video and see that they can get the dress they want and not worry about being "older". And so older people can find this video and have hope they can still find someone no matter their age.
She found love at an age when other people give up. I wish my mum would find someone. The bride sounds so wise and lovely and I cried happy tears for her and entourage.
Age is just a number. We deserve love, whatever age it is❤️
*There is no age limit to fall in love, no age limit to stay beautiful. ❤️*
Why is the first dress almost double her budget??!?
I believe she said anything above 2000
@@carolmk3114 her budget was 2000$ but she said she could go a bit high if she found the dress. She didn't say above 2000$
She had a handsome budget of 2000 dollars! It's not less at all and the first dress they show her is double her budget.
I like how she stuck with her vision. The dress is beautiful.
Her daughters and her friend all of them are very supportive, and they are giving positive vibes, which is very much needed for a bride when they are going to get married..
This bride may be older but she is very much lively person with her innerself.. No matter how old are you, you can achieve all what you want if you believe you deserve better..
The last dress which she chose was the only one that immediately suited her perfectly. Love her daughter who is so supportive.
The bride was lovely but my heart is full over her entourage . . . they are so loving, supportive, encouraging, and honest. This is the type of entourage that every bride should have.
The biggest problem with the “older bride” are all the preconceptions and downright rudeness of other people’s perceptions, especially that older bald guy’s comments.
For some reason I have a feeling if I even get married, I’ll be about 50 years old or so.
Same. I know that career and family will happen for me young. I’ll make it happen if I have to. But for some reason I don’t think I’ll be getting married for a really long time.
Same. And I don't like the thought...
He'll be worth the wait, and you will be stunning
My sister-in-law was in her early 40's when she got married and a friend was 50 when she got married. Both for the first time. Both weddings were smallish and lovely. There is always hope and while you're alive always a chance. Hope true love finds you. 💞
@@thePhoenixQueen Wut? Why?
You make all kinds of stupid choices when you're 25 you'd NEVER make at 55 (which is about what she probably is).
Particularly about boyfriends.
bride: “my budget is maybe a little over 2000 but nothing too crazy”
consultant: *immediately puts her in a dress double her budget*
Side fact.... while we're on the topic of older brides... My favourite wedding by far... the couple were both widowed and had been friends in the nursing home for years and decided to get married.... they were 97 and 98. It was just beautiful to see that its never too late for that spark
It's sad they assumed she was the bride's mom. Bride's come in all ages and should all feel special
Older people marrying makes me happy because that means they’re trying to find love and happiness that they do deserve this and I love that. ☺️
that final dress was so beautiful!
She has such a gentle way about her. She's beautiful in and out. As for the "lumps", although I think she looks beautiful in all of the dresses, there's always Spanx to hide the "lumps". I pray her husband and her have a very long, loving life together.
Some of us are too fat for lycra. At about a 14...and yeah, that's way fatter than it used to be.
Into actual corset territory. Lol.
As an Aussie overseas, thanks for the Aussie SYTTD uploads!
Wish the cameras would pick up the pink hue more, but she looked lovely in everything.
I absolutely love the dress she picked. The color is fantastic and she really shined in it.
She's bloody gorgeous. And that dress is absolutely beautiful,it really does light her up!!!
Not only does she look absolutely breathtaking, she’s such a wonderful person 🤍
My mom was 70 and my stepdad was 60 when they got married. She’s 93 now and they’re still going strong. Neither thought it would happen at their age.
I'm.planning to die alone with a few dogs around. They're a much better option. Lol
@@windsofmarchjourneyperrytr2823 Me with my two cats
So many of us make the wrong choice in spouse when we are young. People change and often in very different directions. I'd love to see a whole series on "older" brides. 40-100 maybe
What a lovely entourage! And so happy the bride held out for exactly what she wanted! The second dress was lovely but the third dress was dreamy! All the best to this bride & her future husband.
I love the fact that nobody asked her age
Everything about this episode is so soothing. The way they talk 😭❤️
Lovely. I am older and was startled when I looked for my (2nd) dress. The industry doesn't notice us much.
Daughter: I’m speechless I can’t even talk
She says while talking fluently 😂
She looked lovely in all of them but that last one was definitely the best. I almost teared up
Her entourage is amazing. The love and support they show is just so so touching. They are also so considerate asking her how she feels, clearly putting the focus on her and not themselves. And I just love that.
I feel like Princess.....really stole my heart 💓
She's so beautiful! Age is just a number. She nailed it!
This made me tear up - she is beaming!!!!! And also, body is banginnnnnnn
I really like and feel sympathy to mature brides. They look honest, happy and elegant...
Really happy for her 🤗🌹🌹🌹
The first dress was blah. The second was beautiful. The third was fairy tale.
We should all be so lucky to have such a supportive crew. That brought a little tear to my eye. So beautiful.
This is the wholesomeness I love to see in these episodes. All support and excitement and love for the bride. Not that drama isnt fun sometimes, but I just think they can play up the drama way too much... This is always a welcome break.
Thank you for uploading this wonderful episode. It is nice to see a nice appointment with no drama or yelling. This lovely lady looks stunning in the dress and the joy/happiness in not only her face but those of her daughters and friend, is marvelous to behold. Much happiness and joy to her and her intended!
Beautiful woman (inside and out) who deserves all the happiness in the world.
Love how respective and mature everyone is and budget *chefs kiss* this is the EPs I enjoy the most
She has a better figure than me, and I am 29 😄, why are they talking about older women lol
Oh my goodness Tess pulled at my heart strings!! She is an absolute vision in her pink dress!! I feel hopeful again that I just might find love at my age.
Such a supportive, lovely family and friend. I can see how much the bride deserves love. She is so gentle and sweet.
Bride: "little more sparkle"
Dress: "well lemme just take it down a notch"
Love the dress but still had me confused like wait what XD
I'm 68 years old and have been married 37 years. I wore a tea length, off the rack lace dress I bought in a retail store and long for a true bridal experience but my husband thinks buying a proper bridal gown is a waste of money. I just once wish to look and feel beautiful. I'm so happy this bride is getting what I long for. And such a great support team as well. I still watch and get teary during almost every "Say Yes to the Dress" episodes.
How supportive are her daughter's 👏
That third dress had me tearing up as soon as she walked out. She looks amazing!!!
I like how the daughter is so excepting and understanding
Love how her friend and daughter are being supportive and kind❤️
I love the pink. She looks beautiful.
I cried. This is an inspiring episode for us all experienced, and wiser ladies. That dress! That dress is everything on her!🎉🎉🎉
What a lovely, supportive entourage. Love that daughter Melesande. Her comments are so nice.
I’m getting married for the first time and I’m 63 years young
congratulations!
The bride has great daughters and a nice friend. Great support group.
Feels funny when you hear your name being called out to someone else😀
The positivity in these people is so beautiful
idk what y'all put in this episode but I'm addicted. i feel so good inside watching this ep
I am so glad there is a Aussie one. Hearing my own accent and recognising places in Sydney is refreshing
Ty so much for not dragging out the question of "r u saying yes.." Its so annoying when they do that.
The friend is so lovely and supportive.
That made me cry. Beautiful family, beautiful dress, stunning bride.
I'm so glad to see an older bride for a change. Thank you. More please.
Oh Lord I’m in tears. This is beautiful ☺️
I like 2nd dress. Sexier, glamour n classy.. Maybe Third dress suit her personality ...
The consultant is so sweet.
The first dress didn't do her any justice. The second dress had my eyes fall out of my head! She was incredibly beautiful in it and I thought it was perfect for her. The third dress was really nice and she still looked beautiful. It's just that the ethereally beautiful way she looked in the 2nd dress took my breath away.
This clip made me get teary-eyed. I hope the lovely bride enjoyed her beautiful pink wedding dress on her special day, and I hope she has many, many happy and healthy years with her new husband.
I love all the dresses on her. She looks fabulous.
I love her friend. I wish I had a friend like her, she's so caring.
she seems like the kindest person🥺
Why so expensive in other countries??? In the Philippines you can buy gorgeous local designer customized wedding dress for just $1,000. If you have some more money, you can ask to add some more bling for $100-$200. You can even buy $200, if you're not picky with the designer's name. Now if you're really in a tight budget, you can buy $30 rtw wedding gown.
I think it’s more because if the brand name, you can (and a lot do) find a gorgeous dress for 1k
Beautiful! Just beautiful! And I love her supportive daughters and friend!
I love the sparkle lace!!!!! It can be bold or subtle but it’s always special!!!!
Absolutely STUNNING!!!! You go girl!!! God bless you and your family!!!
"I can spend 2000 Dollars" and the consultant brings a gown for 3800... 🤦
I'm always angry, when people do this!
I'm so glad, that this beautiful woman chose the fairy dress in "pink', she looked gorgeous! 💖
That last dress - what a beautiful pink! Gorgeous lady!
She looks fabulous! The best daughters and friends I’ve seen on this show !
