When the budget is 2k they wanted to show dresses of 6k+ now the budget is 6k and looks like they really care for the bride and her family by not showing dresses more than 2.5k
I came here to say this!!
If she were in the US, the least expensive dress they would have had her try on would be $6,000 - just to see if her mom had "any wiggle room".
I don't think this store stocks too many dresses that cost 6k. Most of their dresses are about 1-3k. This is probably not the most elite bridal store in Sydney, let alone the country.
@@MsJubjubbird party pooper
@@MsJubjubbird yea. Plus 6K is really expensive in other areas
All of these dresses were really common, they could've done way better with that 'healthy' budget
I know. She said she wanted sexy but I think she is secretly a Disney princess. Way too much for a gown, unless a magazine is paying for your photos! Come on! Three thousand max should clothe anybody for an outfit you can only wear once. People are fools.
I agree they were super basic for $6000 in kleinfelds she would’ve been jeweled down to her socks
I agree. We've seen all of these thousands of times. No originality at all.
Especially since she had a $6000 budget. Weren't they all under $2000? Not that you should spend that much on a dress, but at least consider some higher priced ones.
It’s that consultant. Trapped in the past. We need Gok
The aunt and mom arguing in the beginning was adorable
🙄
🤣
Such absolute sisters! I'd bet a lot that the aunt is the older one. Their looks were so similar, and their voices... well, if you listen to that bit with your eyes closed, it sounds like one woman's internal monologue rendered audible!
Sales person kept showing her dresses for everyone else. What about the bride?
She had such a nice budget...if it was Randy or Gok...she would have gotten more than one dream dresses...
I feel like Gok needs to consult on all the franchises lol...he is just THAT good to be honest!
Ya Gok is my favourite ..
..❤️
Gok is my favourite as well ❤️
We need more Gojek videos ! 🥲
I'm wondering if they don't have good stock? Seems like there's not that much to choose from, or that the consultant isn't familiar with what they do have.
The consultant is not good at her Job. They have tons of dresses they obviously will get the adequate amount of time to deliver it and with a healthy budget the consultant gets access to show the wide variety of garments even the classic ones that the bride's mom wanted. If David, Lori or Randy was here they would have done their best to meet the vision of the bride and her entourage than letting her go empty handed.
Where is Gok when you need him...lol! She wants bells and whistles, she's got $6,000, show her some jaw dropping dresses! Again I say "Gok, where are you"....lol!😳😜🙃🙂
Especially with the enchanted forest theme, Gok would have blown it out of the water!!!!
I've yet to see a jaw dropping dress on the Australian segments.
@@melissashilkoff q
@@melissashilkoff I was so excited to see the parent comment, because I was thinking the same thing as you -- Gok would have had her looking like a dryad, the Greek tree nymph.
No in Goks shop she has about £3,500
I'm proud of the bride for not saying yes to the dress. The consultant was more focused on pleasing the entourage rather than the bride.
That consultant doesn't have any IDEA what she's doing!! Not only were the dresses completely plain, boring and ridiculous.. they were all WAY cheap looking and under her budget... I'm truly appalled with this appointment. Thank goodness she walked out.
I was hoping the consultant would put her in a Bardot dress, same sort of style with the sleeve or collar sitting down her arms.
It’s also good to remember currency exchange rates. If a dress that Gok shows is £2000, that’s about $3700 in Australia
I REALLY loved the banter between the mom and the aunt 😂 they were so cute
They could give her waaaay more options with her really cool budget! But they just didn't do their job right.... I think if they let the bride and her girls to do the shopping and find the dresses that THEY LOVE, this appointment would be so much better and she could find her perfect dream dress today... The staff just ruined it..👎
I just love the way how her mom uses her words. She's gentle in saying her opinion.
Wonder what the store manager and owner thought about that consultant losing them a potential $6,000 sale.
Not paying 6K doesn't mean the family isn't there for the bride 😕
Exactly, I noticed that line too but I thought I misheared or smt, like whut😑
right, that's such backwards ass thinking
These shows are cut and trimmed in such weird places that perhaps these shots are not even put together in the way the events actually occurred.
Nobody would say that 😓🕊️
@@samaeldeul572l
She only tried a few dresses. One of the fastest fittings from these shows with no selection made.
They literally gave her the most ill-fitting and boring dresses that they could find. Nothing that really stands out, and for half of her budget, I have seen some dazzling and gorgeous dresses in previous episodes.
they don't have 6k dresses really. That's what their dresses cost.
those dresses weren't very different from each other, the assistant definitely should've encouraged her to try on some different shapes
I can't believe with that budget the consultant kept pulling those plain gowns. She needed Randy or Gok
In goks shop it’s about £3.500
The title makes it sound like a budget below 6k is unhealthy 🥺
When budget is 6000 ..they show 2000 $ dress
this store is not a 6k wedding dress store.
I was sitting at my computer watching this and was wishing that Randy and his team was dressing this young lady. I kept screaming at the TV " THAT'S THE WRONG DRESS" LOL
Me too! I don’t think I’ve ever seen such ill fitting boring dresses.
Budget is 6k ... It seems they don't have any dress above 3k in that store 😅 ... if it was any other store they will show her the +8k dresses lol
She needs to use part of that budget to head to Lancashire and get Gok to help her.
because they are selling drama...not the dress 😁
@@rudyhann1549 😂😂😂
The consultant kept pulling dresses that we knew she wouldn't like ("I don't like a lot of lace"). That all-satin gown should have been perhaps gown #2. I also don't get why they didn't go for pricier gowns, given her $6k budget.
Omg, does anyone else think the sister and cousin look like Twins!
Fraternal twins, MAYBE, but certainly not identical.
I thought they were sisters! 😂
The consultant missed the mark on all counts especially with the budget she had to work with!
None of the dresses were enchanted forest vibes. Glad she said no. She can do better.
I guess this version of say yes to the dress should import some dresses from Randy and Gok!!
No kidding..
The consultant could've done a better job with a budget like that
I don't understand why being covered up is considered unattractive. The first dress was rejected because it was "too covered up," but I think it was just the wrong style. There are so many dresses that are modest and still very beautiful. As someone who "covers up" for religious reasons, I can definitely say that one can still be very attractive covered up, even in long sleeves.
I agree with you. I am not religious or particularly modest or anything but I just find long sleeve wedding dresses (especially lace sleeves) so classy and romantic. I have seen so many beautiful modest dresses across the SYTTD shows.
I agree. I think sometimes if things are left to the imagination it's actually more intriguing.
as with the other comments, that consultant lost business as she didnt use budget. consultant should be taken to task for that!
A large wedding of 200 people
Me a native American, Russian mix: Awe thats cute... my family would need to rent an entire village to fit all my relatives 😆
My daughter had a small wedding. 250 guests and an additional 30 in the wedding party.
As a North African 400 is the minimum and you would have to deal with angry relatives who didn't get invited 🤣
In India 500-1000 is the norm
I can relate. I am from indonesia. 200 probably will only cover both family 😄
I have a large family too (Russian American and my husband is from Jamaica) we only invited 150 people cause not all relatives actually care about you, In fact some “family” can be toxic. We work really hard for our money and decided we’re not paying $76 a plate for people who aren’t truly happy for us.
The last dress looks exactly like " Monica Geller's" wedding dress. Only FRIENDS fans will understand
Ohhh yes 🥰🥰🥰 definitely she is ☺️
Yhpp
Most definitely
I love her mother and aunt, just awesome.
Wow! That bridal consultant didn't do a good job at all! With that budget and with that figure, she could've shown her the world! (I mean about gowns.)
Thank God she said No!! That wasn't her dress! The consultant pulled HORRIBLE dresses!
I wish they had tried the dress that was on the dress form that she walked by.
She had a fantastic budget and was shown only cheap dresses... why?
@Leonie true. It's just that those with a lesser budget are often shown dresses that are 200 or 300 bucks over budget, if not more. :-\
Yeah, I don't get it.
"If there's back fat or anything hanging out" do they not realize that alterations will handle some of those problems?
Why don’t they let the bride and family look at and choose some dresses like in the other syttd. The family were very gracious saying it wasn’t the fault of the consultant (Leesa) and that they were being too picky.
1:19 i wish i had a relative that gased me up like this 😭
Family :Budget is 6k
Oh I love families like this
OH MY GOK! he needs to do a world tour! Help other brides
But that is £3,500 in goks shop
Love the family! I agree, the last dress was closer than any others but she could still do much better. I hope she found her dress!
She has a great budget, but all the dresses she tried on, was way below that and none really special. Surely the boutique had better dresses than that?
With all due respect, where did they find this consultant? I don’t think she is in right profession. This should be all about the bride! Let bride or entourage look for some dresses they might like too
The dress that had the Diamond Bow @ the back was Very Beautiful on her! Now, that being said, mom is worried about how the Priest will react…🤔? Is she gonna have her back turned towards the Priest for her nuptials? Just a question 🤷🏽♀️…
Yeah I thought it was ridiculous to worry about the priest. No mention was made about what the groom wd like to see. That satin dress was perfection. She looked elegant and timeless.
The priest won't be the one wearing the bridal gown so his opinion doesn't count. This makes me glad I'm a Protestant instead of a Catholic.
$6000 is a LOT of money but the consultant only pulls gowns that look like $200 formal dresses???!!!!
The consultant had no idea
I found her family delightful. Sometimes when the entourage is opinionated it's really frustrating in an "It's not your wedding!!!" type of way but I felt like even when they didn't like it they didn't say so in a mean way. Maybe they're just making me think about my own Italian family!
Seems like with her budget, they could have found much better gowns.
Bride: Aww this is cute!!
Me: yeah, definitely won't be that one
"Large wedding of 200 people"
Me, an Indian: 😂😂😂
At the same time me from a country when even a 100 people is a whole lot of guests: 😳😳😳
Samson ka va feel pui che ve😂😂
@@ОксанаПостранська 100 people is just family for me :D :D :D
But SHE is not Indian.
Really enjoyed this Aussie version of SYTTD. Everything about this episode is so sweet and so typical . It's like taking a giant leap back in time for me, so cute.
"Large wedding of 200". 😂😂😂
This is how many people turn up at an Indian wedding during lockdown due to Corona 😂
😂😂 so true
Probably not something to brag about, given the current situation in India.
@@alisonfraser3305
It was a joke 🤦♀️
Wow tacky joke given the current state of India
In Australia that is big though. Especially given you are charged per head
She literally said: not too much lace and the first dress is full lace in yo face
Pretty disappointed to see that this one has been shown before.
I remember the mother talking about being Catholic and her blue with black dots scarf.
The sister's face at 3:55 lol
$6,000 budget and she has not been shown the higher quality dresses. There is always a reason for higher cost...better fabric, more interesting detailing, better fit everywhere including a fitted soft built in bra, just better. Form over style is classier.
6 mins early! Never been this early in all episode of Say Yes to the Dress 😂 It was always 6 months ago, 1 year ago and 2 years ago 😂
It’s a good job my Parish Priest didn’t mind me wearing a Cadbury chocolate purple silk taffeta dress when I got married! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fabulous family!
This lovely lady needs a silk satin drop waist, with a Swarovski belt, a crown (not a tiara) and the long veil that streams down her back. She’s very beautiful.
I’m not going to lie sometimes I think younger sales assistants know a bit more of what looks good and is on trend and is better at picking out what will look good on a bride.
None of these dresses read at all related to the wedding's "enchanted forest" theme to me. The dress on the mannequin behind the family looks more whimsical and enchanted forest to me than the other ones they put her in.
For me an "enchanted forest" gown would have looked like a ballgown.
@@MLMLW That, or just more overall delicate sparkle (for the enchanted part) and line work or beading that might be reminiscent of branches or vines.
I thought that, too---"Why not pull that one off the mannequin and let her try it?"
IKR? That would have been the perfect dress@
What on earth? A budget like hers, a beautiful shape and they brought those dresses? Gobsmacked!
With a $6K budget, I expected something sophisticated and elegant. Hopefully she found another shop who actually listened to her. I bet the Manager at the Shop reams this ‘consultant’ for losing this Bride to a competitor - and rightfully so.
I’ve not seen salons where the consultant picks the dress for the bride. I’m used to walking into the salon and perusing racks to find dresses I like and want to try on, with the consultant doing just that, consulting on my choices.
I love the simplicity of the satin one
This consultant did not listen to her style at all. She said she didn't like lace, first 4 dresses were covered in lace. The poor bride just needed someone to listen to her. She had a huge budget with no big budget gowns to try.
None of these dresses felt like the woodsy description she originally gave
The peek-a-booheart cut out in th elast frock was cool
The bride called this appointment an "exercise"??!! It's certainly not an exercise to the consultant who was looking to get a commission! I gave this video a thumbs down because of that alone.
They could’ve picked better dresses with a lower budget. I think they didn’t want to go down
Great decision. With that budget, the bride should have looked amazing. Every option was far underwhelming.
Why show her dresses that are way under budget - so she leaves with nothing? Surely there are dresses that are closer to 6K that she would probably have fallen in love with. That's no way to run a business.
That store doesn't stock many dresses around 6k, if any. About 2-3k is the average
That consultant sucks at picking dresses for the brides
Why are they putting her in boring dresses that don't flatter her that cost 1500-2500 when her budget is MUCH higher?!
This bride is so beautiful, she has great body and looks so young for her age too
Wow, and she didn’t find anything sad
Idk why the appointments feel so short? Ik its edited but my sister had like a 2-2.5 hr appointment when she bought her dress. She tried on like 8 dresses before she got to her dress. Why don't they show the bride more?
Why does no one Ever seem to address dress fittings, design tweaks, etc. .. Asking!
It was a good one not sad to see her say no to the dress hope she find her dream dress soon
None of those gowns looked like they were worth $6K. Glad the bride didn't settle for any of them. Maybe she can learn to speak up for herself more. Why was the sister running the appointment?
Finally a consultant who finds dresses well under budget
They go from one extreme to another, forcing one bride to go over twice her budget, then with a bride that says she has $6K to spend, they put her in dresses half that price. I am losing patience with TLC Australia.
Families that are there with less of a budget are also still there for one reason only and that is the 'Bride'
It's not ALWAYS about the Budget
We love a cool aunt!
😩😩how tf did the consultant give her dresses ranging from 1500-2000$ yet while the budget was 6000,$😩😩💔am hurt
i can't even imagine what gok would have done with a 6000 $ budget he already shows very pretty dresses in 2000 $ so what would he have done with 6000$
With that budget you'd think they would show better dresses. They were very average.
The sister is really looking out for her :))
They have 6K, why did u give her under 2K?
I really think it must have been shot waaay before.. The dresses, the consultant's look, everything was screaming BACKDATED
Lol the Aunt and mum is hilarious
The consultant didn't help at all.. She got no idea.. She picked 'unattractive' dresses..
Should have gone to Kleinfeld in NY . $6K there is nothing.. They have gowns that are $25K and above
She's from Australia. Maybe she couldn't afford a trip to NYC.
getting a wedding dress back from New York would be hard
Her Second Dress is gorgeous on her…
First one nooo. Looked like granny nighty. The little detail in the back was nice.NOTHING WOWED ME
WELP. finally I found one from Australia and not Anywhere else
This version is so bland and the sales assistance seems to not know what she’s doing at all. She’s in the wrong job. She really thought the sale was in the bag, trying so hard lol
Leesa, I'd strongly recommend to start watching how Gok is working!! You have a hell of a LOT to learn...!!!
