  • It's quick and easy to make your own seed milk from sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds and hemp seeds. All are free of dairy, nuts and sugar. Suitable for nut / tree-nut allergies and of course dairy allergies. Also as seeds are much cheaper than nuts these recipes are budget friendly.
    The four vegan milk recipes in this video are for sunflower seed milk, pumpkin seed carrot milk, cacao hemp seed milk and sesame cinnamon milk. Seeds are usually not heat treated so are suitable for a raw food diet, unlike many nuts. All will last for several days in the fridge but may separate and need a quick stir.

      Thanks so much, I don't for this as its hemp hearts that have been hulled. If they are whole hemp seeds I would do, but as they are so course they would need to be strained. Hope that helps!

      Do you have nutritional info? like calories and carbs per serving for the hemp and pumpkin milk. I tried searching in fitness pal, but no luck. I do enjoy these, but I want to make sure I'm not drinking more than I should.

    Can you use the "leftovers" to make cheese or something else?

    • @hayemiranda7647

      you can make flour from it

    • @hayemiranda7647
      @hayemiranda7647 2 роки тому

      @Lydgate nowadays I dont use the leftovers because it's mostly fiber and my diet at the moment is high calorie & high protein. But you could use your oven on minimum to dry it, just spread it apart on the longest baking tray that you have and try to control the heat. I have also dried it using the sun.

    The hemp chocolate milk looks cool but it's very expensive. A package of 227 gram cost 9.65 USD$

    • @Nestandglow
      @Nestandglow  6 років тому

      Yes I hear you, sadly it's quite expensive in the UK also. I buy non organic unsprayed hulled hemp that's grown the the UK and that isn't too bad. As ingredients become more common the prices can go down :)

      Nest and Glow I make oatmilk using a Vitamix but despite best efforts haven’t managed to avoid the slimy texture, so call creamy. It’s not important as I never drink it on its own, on,y using it to add to cereals or porridge. I also make sunflower seed milk as that’s a cheaper buy, as an alternative to cashew milk and “cream”. As a base cream to add flavour to for sauces dressings etc it’s perfect
