    I have issues with my hands and was having trouble squeezing the cloth full of nut meat after blending it, so I strain it twice. The first time without a cloth, just the metal sieve. Set the nut meat aside and strain the milk a second time, this time using the cloth to collect the finer meal. So much easier and doesn’t take much longer.

    1 cup almonds to 4 cups water does not cut it. It would taste watery like store bought. Use 2 cups of almonds to 5 cups of water & you’ve got a tasty milk.

    • @bhusanur.cooking
      @bhusanur.cooking  Рік тому +44

      Absolutely, adjusting the ratio of almonds to water can indeed affect the taste and creaminess of almond milk. Using 2 cups of almonds to 5 cups of water, as you suggested, can result in a creamier almond milk with a more intense almond flavor.

    I add either dates or prunes for natural sweetness plus it helps keep things regular. For the pulp, you can dry it naturally or in a dehydrator and then pass it through a processor (I use the one for the coffee), and you have almond flour. Keep it in the freezer til ready to use.

    I was motivated by your posting to try, and loved being able to make myself; I had noticed on another post, that the skins may be cooked, much like potatoes skins to add as a topping on smashed potatoes, just in a little oil or dried and crumbled on yogurt, the latter being mine own. However, the remaining paste use, while I did notice your uses for, I noticed besides using in many things, you can bake for crisps thins and or crumble to eat on yogurt, I hope these two are of interests to you, as I hope to offer in return even a slight portion of what you offered me with your posting. Sincerest

      I meant to ask; what type of blender you have; it appears to be a Vitamix, not sure or of model?
      However, I certainly want/hope to get away from any cloth to remove pulp due to difficulty with my hands, from a spinal injury, plus less standing to supervise, prefer to blend and drink both Almond and Oat milk.

      @bhusanur.cooking  Рік тому

    • @ParkerFaith
      @ParkerFaith Рік тому

      Thank you for letting me know which brand and model your utilizing, I definitely want to reduce excess time standing. Although I have a blender it's unavailable at the moment and under too many boxes....grrr. Plus it appears after a quick check, this model will work for grinding spices, dehydrated via electric or window rack sweet potatoes, apple peels and others for flour in lovely fine flour. The injury is permanent; however, I try to press usually too much, and in the same have to make some things less time consuming.

      I meant to say; If interested, try the same with Oat Milk.
