  • This old Ryobi Mixing drill might look very rough, but it has probably had quite an easy life.
It has only ever mixed paint, so never seen any hard work, only dirty work.
The problem is only the power cable but a bit of digging was needed to get it opened.

I think the owner is a bit confused. It looks like they're mixing paint with this drill by submerging it and stirring the paint with the body of the drill.

If you put that thing in a frame it could go in a museum of modern art.

Got a Makita rotary hammer from work (concrete factory), that I wanted to try to revive. Initially I thought that the motor was bad, but it turned out that the trigger had shorted from too much cement dust.
Gave it a new trigger, a new gear housing (the rubber on the old one was torn to shreads), cleaned the commutators on the motor and it was as good as new. :)

I’d be disappointed if you didn’t tell the customer he’d ‘pollock’ed it up or made a ‘complete pollock of it’.

All that would be avoided if they just took a few minutes to clean the tool when finished using it!! Some people are just plain lazy!!

its doesnt matter as the switch is double pole so the line and neutral are both switched and ac single pole motors are not effected by polarity.
