I haven't used this selector ticket yet, because I always check exactly that expiration date. When I use my selector tickets are usually either on the last day or the last week before the expiration. Seems like this practice has saved me some trouble.
My reaction to getting the refined form ticket: Huh. MAY 2023? That's this month. Isn't the current sg scratch timing out midmonth? Must be for next scratch. Odd they released it early. My alliance members reaction: YEET
Anytime I get a ticket item I instantly throw it into storage and wait for either Kero or another content creator to post their pre-maintenance reminders, then I check my ticket storage and redeem whatever I have.
I looked at it, read it and simply kept it and decided to ask questions and look into it. Too many people I know just tossed the damn thing without a second thought but now they regret it. It can't be that hard to just look things up first.
The text literally said to trade it and that it wasn't usable or something along those lines in its item description. So many people probably had no idea.
Glad I'm the type who reads the entire description and waits till after the expiration date. Sega should've at least given this to us on the day of the scratch to be honest.
I did not exchange or recycle mine, but I almost did. When I got it I started searching the scratch listings and as I did not see it I thought it was for a scratch that just left since one of the may 23 ones did just leave. Only reason I did not exchange was because the expire date is in july so i thought i can wait and see and exchange later if this thing is useless and I guess it's not useless. This upcoming R form scratch better be good
I don't think they will hand out another Selection Ticket because then most people would have 2x of them and that would be kinda like handing out 4000 SG lol
The funniest part is that this had to happen almost immediately following the game director going on the latest NGS Headline to apologize for the state of the game and how they promise to do better. I gave them the benefit of the doubt then, and still will, but I've only been playing since last September and have already seen staggering amounts of incompetence from SEGA. They really should have known better. That being said, players should have been a little more observant. If I log in after maintenance and I see a ticket in my inventory that wasn't there before for a scratch that doesn't exist, I'm going to hold on to it until I can find definitive information on what to do with it. Remember, if you have a question about something, chances are that other people do, too.
Haven't there already been a bunch of SG selector tickets we have received from the mission pass for scratches that haven't come out yet? I don't understand why people are doing this lol.
at first i kinda panicked too since there's the ticket but no banner and i thought i missed it, asking around then find out that the banner would come out later. almost exchanged my ticket for a measly 25% rare drop.
you know the fact that this is such an issue makes me realize how many new players are actually in ngs and how many of us vets arent kinda makes me sad
My problem with this is, while I did not personally lose it. I didn't catch it instantly either. I banked it to figure out what was going on later. The REAL problem is... why not just... give this out when the exchange is available? Why say it's "expired" before. They put in a line of code tells when it's "out of season". Why not make that flag say "this ticket is not available YET" instead? They did the work already...
I'm with you on this like this could've been avoided easily if they let everyone know about this ahead of time. Whether they implement a new text description for this ticket as a warning not to recycle them or announce through their websites / discord not to throw away the ticket before or during maintenance. But no, they didn't do either and it was too late. Though i'm lucky I didn't throw it away, i feel bad everyone else did it without second thoughts...

I didn't throw mine out. I listen to the headline and read the item descriptions. Now if they return the ticket to those who exchanged it, they'll have the item they exchanged it for AND the ticket. Here;s hoping it's a blanket gift to all.
This May R Form ticket just reminded me that "reading" is a mandatory skill in life. But instead, we got players just going "auto-pilot" and recycling the ticket at the swap shop. Since NGS cam out on the first Update video they made, all Seasonal Events had a Part 1 and 2. At Part 2 they allways refreshed the Shop, meaning new stuff again.
I recycled mine. I'm saying this because the language that explained it was for the future was nonexistent. Also I'm not one of those "I'm better than you because you made a mistake I didn't" types.
