      its kinda sad we got the forms souls 4 and they just do potency 2.5 to match the prior dmg resist stat 2.5
      still if you wanna be tanky a loss of .5 potency isnt the worst i guess but we cant craft so many tier 4 augments which is a shame in general
      it would fix the prices for melee souls too btw which ship 3 dust is 70-80 the rest are 100+ for soul 4 melee
      btw the hybrid classes skill for converting dmg to highest type only works when using a weapon of their class
      havent tested w multi weps yet but im guessing when using the wep that isnt the classes itll not be converting the dmg till you do something to swap it back to the classes wep of the multi wep
      dread keeper 3/4 drops fairly often in stia and the augment is worth while for koulkops weps since it doesnt have crit increase on it’s potential and the wep hase high potency dmg and dmg resistance so
      4 of
      dread 4
      alts 4
      mastery 4
      addi deft or addi dual gaurd
      koulkops (yes im butchering the spelling) benefits highly from floor given it crits less and has high potency and dmg resist on it’s potential so you can hit high high floor and dmg resist and potency plus vs and not vs dolls
      it also works well for crystia and prim libra basicly all the high tier weps that dont have crit rate in the potential benefit from floor the most as they crit less and more floor helps them have more stable dmg
      right now obsidia kaisar gunblaze and effulgent all are the top tier weps given crit % and pp reduction for gunblaze and kaisar while koul crystia and libra all fall behind those w best augments due to crit rate being king rn and them lacking it on their potential hurts them but they can be solid w floor and their dmg range reliable and stable

      id say a more potency heavy setup like the BIS one shown works best for them but idk for sure given they lack crit % and each have w dif utility potential w pursuit being the best dmg wise so id say a mix of some floor and potency is best for rugged wep probably is my guess

    I have pretty tanky build but I am techter Hunter, but because of that my potency is not really the best it's only 70.8% for melee and tech potency I split the potency because I multi one weapon with Talis and another with wand I am too lazy to chase weak point with sword or wand and just use Talis to hit, I use wand mainly for the PB damage and and how fast it is to charge the compound tech gauge with wand attack and PA.
    I really like sword it's not to complicated as a weapon the party/block is pretty handy and not having as much APM requirement to be effective.

    dk4 at vida =105hp each 315hp only from armors and 1 each aug at weapon too is 365hp and 40pp ... dont sub hunter? what sub then for fighter? btw. is there no armors with dmg resist? everytime only a 1 hit for all mobs sucks hard with sesato and 55% dmg resist :D

    I play Bouncer and Braver both, and the only classes that do not have to augment hybrid are Bo, and Braver, the new skill does not work how you think it does, only applies to weapons of that class. Main hand class skill only.

      you can still use it with cross class multi weapons though, like a braver gunner katana tmgs you augment for ranged, and the skill with use precision potency for the melee potency for the katana

    I play with my friend a lot who's a Ranger. I play as a Braver and I switched my augments to
    Freid Soul IV
    Stira Domina IV
    Mastery IV
    Giga Might IV
    Addi
    My potency floor isn't as high as the setup you have but I'm critting more often and deflecting a lot better than I used to. My potency is at 99% and I feel that I'm breaking bosses faster and getting better results although it's a more finicky build as far as placing attacks.
    Overall for the average player, or really anyone who doesn't want to be hitting like a fly unless they are hitting blue a good percentage of the time, the setup listed here in video is very good

    The only thing that’s rough about bis build is the PP. Even assuming you go all souls with 5 PP and Waker add on at 20 that’s only 140 on the purple units. Which is enough but you would need to play well

    God dammit SEGA throw me a bone, man I play all classes and yet you focus on single stat augments and leave me in the dirt, I mean I have to put the single stat augments on weapons but my units need to be multistat for all 9-10 classes.
    GG SEGA wants people to play multiple classes for content decides to introduce strong singular stat augments and you wonder why no one plays other classes if their stat and equipment requirements are a completely different gearing arrangement..

    I use what I like because I like it. For example: Dread Keeper IV. I like that augment. I actually like not being looked at too hard and falling over like a deck of cards.
    It isn't fun to be one shot. I main Dual Saber. So while I can parry or dodge most of the time, sometimes, like animation locks, off screen attacks, getting combo'd to death after getting swatted out of the air, or simply miss timing my maneuvers; I just have to eat it. Having more HP and defense means I spend less time running away to heal and more time doing DPS. Or more likely, surviving when you otherwise wouldn't. Two days ago, I was able to pull off a simultaneous triple revivie in a Purple Trigger. My high HP (and parries/dodges) helped me survive. Yesterday, and usually in general, my team, whether it be Alliance or randoms, all die at least once. Usually no more than thrice each. But not me. As long as I avoid getting combo'd to death by Drillhead's whirligig impression or one shot by Girafarig's Supernova; I don't die. Skill helps, but I am not a machine god. I will mess up. So Dread Keeper VI is nice insurance. After all, the lowest damage in the game isn't sub 90%, it's face tanking the floor.
    Also, I sub Bouncer so I have a question as I keep getting mixed answers. I use a Hybrid Build, obviously, so I use augments like Meltech Dualible and the like. But I also have Special Ability Optimization BO, but again, on my sub. Should I or should I not still use Hybrid Augs? The SAO BO says for Main Class/Bouncer weapon. So do I not get it at all since I main Fighter or do I get it when my multi-weapon switches over to Jet Boots? It is a bit confusing and my amateur DPS experiment only did 50 or so damage difference when I swapped my main and sub around and used Techniques so...still unsure. The damage was higher, but so low the SAO BO made very little difference when I mained Bouncer. Any inputs would be appreciated.
    Edit 1 Hour Later: Stumbled across your Final Thoughts on Stia Bouncer video. You mentioned SAO. I think I understand. SAO only activates when I switch over to Jet Boots to do Jet Intensity and Technique damage as I've been doing. Still unsure on hybrid augs though. If the stats add together, shouldn't I want high Technique too so it being added to my higher Might and will result in more damage?

    Thanks for the information. It sounds like you have to invest in multiple armors if you play various classes because the sacrifice in damage is a lot? Sometimes the prices on the shop seem a bit insane due to the percentages not being drastic between levels. You really stare at the screen asking yourself is 1 percent worth the difference in some of the prices.

    Mastery 3&4 are simply too valuable for selling for me to use them in my gear, unless it came with it like we just got. And the potency is not even that good especially for the asking price. I rather get another potency+PP in its slot instead.

    Did you say theodominant domino is 3% potency well that's a better value the main stat for again someone like me who uses a rifle on all their melee weapons for the spreadshawn and Grenada didn't realize it was 3%, thank you

    Krono your augments suggestions are 100% accurate according to my calculations as well. It hurts me to see people replacing Mastery IV for Stira Domina just for the potency...

    The dualbles are good for a final slot. Unless you are going all in on a floor centered build or plan to grind for Stia domina.
    Max potency would be soul 4, Giga 4, addi, Stat IV, and Stia Domina. The last one being a grind for sure.
    I would imagine if you went for a floor build you would one of those slots with Secreta, and M4 still.
    M4 and Domina are expensive, for most people who won’t solo stuff dualbles will be fine

    Melra IV is a good alternative to giga stat IV cause giga stat IV is a legend.....over 100 purps and maybe all 3 giga stats together are 15?

    Hey Krono I was trying to get a friend to start pso2 ngs they were a huge pso1 fan. They started asking me questions about the new player experience and I realized I have no idea if it changed how the grinds were which are worth doing and so on. If your interested maybe a fresh account series of videos might be worth doing to see the new player experience for the start of 2023. Just a thought.     The Dual stat augments are incredible for someone who doesn't want to invest in gigafor Plus I play partisan rifle for the spreadshot and grenator and having that extra damage for the subclass is nice

    4:48 augmenting hybrid like melee tech or range tech is pretty good if you're planning on playing Braver, Bouncer, Hunter, Fighter. Force. Techer, and Waker then the other if you want to replace Hunter and Fighter with Ranger and Gunner. You literally cover 7 out of the 9 classes by just doing a hybrid of those stats. You can still get close to 18% per unit if you play it right.

      That's no tank build though with 18% potency that would use Eclairur Armor which is not TANK armor and your HP will never get to 1200+
      The best tank potency can get is like 70.8% max with split Melee tech feature each armor would generate like 13.2 % of potency and weapon as well, unless unless there is another HP - Potency combo augment I don't know about that's pretty much is the max.
      Using fully augmented eptize armor vida for survivability each armor would net you like 160 HP 10 PP, 5.4% damage resistance 13.2% potency.

    I did find an edge case for a full pot floor build:
    Hybrid bouncer, with the bis setup, but using dk4 instead of soul4 puts your variance at 85.7-100%, this really helps on the rng lottery for ji and pinion blade damage.
    But its only really viable for a kouklophis, since there's no crit potential. Deals almost the same damage as a full bis setup, but you are alot more tanky!

      All great but keep in mind hybrid bouncer is alot more then JI now. while its better on JIs its innately worse everywhere else. Id argue for maybe 1 DK4 subbed in but anything more is to much of a loss. with a single dk4 the damage difference is minimal

    I love Dreadkeeper, but with stat augs and fusion augs and all other lanes and addon skills I had to let dreadkeeper go, I'm interested if gunblade will scale off range like it did on base. I'm still waiting lol

      Its only good for fast pace hitters that extra 6% floor potency will make dosing higher more consistent than someone with just pure potency.
      Imagine hitting 10 hits and only 4 hit high dmg and your min dmg is weak... yikes for fast hitters.

    Either Addi with weapon potency and floor potency if no Mastery IV
    It's very dpa consistent could care less for the hp, though the fact that if my hits don't roll a high dmg atleast my min dmg isn't lacking to up it, dmg at this point is RNG
    Though if I were using Sword or a Force class lol I go pure potency with as much PP and rely on heavier spam hits.

      That's sound like pure glass cannon stuff no chill build being hunter you can get two shot but other class heavy boss hit pretty much one shot especially with Eclairur armor.

      @@VT0311 who do you think exhausted my yellow revive in every possible way in multiple scenario? Glass cannon is trash without skill I can't heal, supporting them is useless they died in 1 hit.
      I have nothing against proper or somewhat decent glass cannon player what I dislike about glass cannon build is the wanna be pros, evasion God and those gravely overestimated their ability.
      All I am trying to say is build something that fit you the most.

    I get your disagreement with pot floor but for gunner and rng it's a must have. Add on skills are horrible rng and yeah if you're rich go for it spend hours on getting a good proc but eh .

      Not just gunners and ranger, anything that is fast pace. Floor potency makes you hit hard consistency you beefing low hits so when you do hit one its not crazy strong as your max dmg hit but at least you can hit almost 4-5x more than not having any dedicated potency floor.

      Not to mention 4 dread keepers iv made my partisan thrust hit harder and my basic attack hit close to my abilities dmg 29% away from it. lol especially the last swing but I might swap it off cause my partisan isn't fast like a saber, knuckle, dagger, gunner, ranger sadly...

    I am kinda hoping for something like guardian soul soon. Something very endgame and worth the grind for top notch stats and damage. Nothing really equals that too much at the moment but mastery and mastery isn't even that hard to get in hindsight. Just farm combat zones or yellow triggers or even better purple for some challenge and extra loot.

This game barely had anything like that and every time they do they eventually just make something that one ups it without even bringing the previous into question. It just kills the feel you worked hard for something. So I want something that's absolute and won't be taken over.

      And you can bet your ass that would be an insane grind. Iv been saving hundreds of domina in each region to prepare because what happens next is a deft farm farm that rotates 16 different explore zones everyday..... and I'll take a hard pass on that

    So I realize this is not optimal, but I'm wanting to set up a dual type set up, mainly I want to use my rifle but with the ability to swap to a tech weapon I can use to cast with. what is my best set up for this?

      Same as BIS build but, replace soul 4 with stia domina and replace gig Stat 4 with techra 4 (2.75 dual pot augment)

      The question is do you need to be optimal? Choosing split potency itself is not optimal decision so saying you want optimal split kinda weird.
      If you want my opinion above 70% potency is good enough.
      Between 70 and 90% potency with same weapon same fixa is only 80-120 DPS depend on the weapon You could still get big number like 20-30k dmg during break, weak spot, correct element and blight bullet.
      70% is the lowest bar if you wanted to solo purple for example because obviously time limit.
      People also need and should take consideration of their skill in playing whatever it is they're playing be honest with yourself Am I bad? Am I mediocre? Am I good? People love to think they're God tier player but getting knocked out all the time, this basically loss DPS for you and your party because obviously someone need to wake you up, so it's preferable that you have normal-moderately high DPS but can do it consistently than having big number but spend your time a lot kissing the dirt.
      Let's be real and admit most people probably belong to the later.

      @@gkagara I mean to be fair I'm talking about a weapon to pair with my rifle here, and given rifle plays at a bit more range and all the s that WA gives, it's really not hard to avoid getting knocked. I spam WA into AoEs to spam grenades. but I get what you mean. right now I'm looking at other weapons, but I do appreciate you breaking things down. currently I'm messing with Braver and it's new skill, so I have a katana tmg multi I'm having fun with, and I don't even need to do split potency for it. I am curious if you know if the brave combat bonus will include the hits from my tmg PAs or if it only counts the katana hits. current testing seems to indicate that it's katana only, but the skill page isn't very clear.

      @@cherrybomb0388 brave combat only apply to braver weapon unfortunately without it being your main you will losing like 3-4 passive skill as sub class which is huge loss if you're using katana or bow or play as sub.
      As ranged you need something that can go melee if needed but it just my opinion, boss mob now seems to not only stick to the front line melee they sometimes do hit backline so your subclass should provide something to get away from it like waker bird PA to escape to your optimal range or fight at closer range momentarily until the boss switch it's interest to someone else, ranged weapon have hidden mechanic that you need to be in this sweet range to deal optimal damage too close or too far your damage will suffer.
      This is just my line of thought btw, on how I am using my ranged weapon.
      As ranger I am using two weapon both vary in situation if I have to choose one you go with rifle sword/katana because launcher sword/katana only works in mob situation where you have another ranger doing the blight shot more or less optional weapon.

      @@gkagara Well I am running Braver Main, so I get Brave combat and all the other skills, I have gunner subclass. what I'm asking is if I pop Brave combat, will the tmg PAs in my katana multiweapon add to the final bonus stacks, but it sounds like not. It says "Can only be used by a Main Class or with Braver weapons." and the "or" part is what's unclear.

    I guess I'm missing something. You have ~ +3% in 5 slots on 4 pieces of gear.
    3×5 = 15 × 4 = 60.
    Where are you getting a whole extra 30% from?
    I have all that stuff on my gear and I'm only at 72

      Feel free to dm me your gear setup and I’ll compare it for ya. But I can tell you the percentages aren’t just additive. The formula is weird.

      It's multiplicative so 5 3% isn't 15 just for a quick explanation 3 x5 = 15 +4 =19 if the DMG formula was additive but since it's multiplicative it will be 1*1.03*1.03*1.03*1.03*1.04 which totals 1.2056xx which is to 20.56%
      So each set of potency u add make it build even higher so let's say your using full potency which will prob put u at like 106-108% depends on your weapons potential if u remove a let's say might 4 which is 3% potency your potency will actually drop by 6.xx percent because of all the other potency meaning that u traded 6 potency for 3.x potency floor if u changed might 4 for dread dread keeper

      @@KronoKatastrophy another question I had so being that the stuff is multiplicative wouldn't that mean we should adjust fixa the same way so for example if you have a potency of 100% and I add fixa atk 3 to weapon shouldn't the 4% there actually be closer or more than 8% worth of DMG instead?
